This place is really just your average grocery store. They don't have the best prices but it's close to my house. But I'll never come here again. This is the 3rd time in a row that I've encountered the bad attitude of the millennial cashiers. Today's rudeness came from Marisa. Gone are the days when you were greeted With a smile and a thank you when you left. She should've at least thanked me for bagging my own groceries. Large container of Philadelphia Cream Cheese: $7.99 ! Seven-fuckining-ninty-nine! Stop N' Shop price $6.49. This is a "generic" no-name supermarket that sells Kresdale generic brands that are seen in poorer neighborhoods. HOWEVER, knowing that Greenlawn has many upscale households , this place charges top dollar with no sales of any kind. No reason to shop here unless you live 2 minutes away . P.S. Broken door lock on dirty men's room (for a single person) will have someone bursting in on you while your going. So the one star is for that. read more

I've been going to Southdown Market in Huntington since i moved into the neighborhood in 2011. When I read that the owners were opening greenlawn farms, I was very curious what the new supermarket would be like. I went a couple weeks ago to get my father's day bbq items and was very pleased with the selection and the prices. The food item prices are competitive with any major chain - especially for the weekly sale items listed in the circular - and the produce/vegetable selection is extensive. It's much bigger than the Southdown Market but it has the same sales as the Market plus much more because of its size. I didnt buy other household/paper goods so I can't speak about those prices. Im glad that this supermarket is here to serve the community and it's definitely a nice change from what used to be there! read more

I love this store, I shop in there almost every day. They have so many different things to chose from that you don't/can't find in traditional supermarkets, lots of organic products and gluten free products. There's a nice section of premade salads and to go foods.I just wish they had more organic produce. read more

When greenlawn farms first opened I gave it 6 months until they fold. A 5 mile radius of 11740 had probably the most educated and smartest consumers on LI. yes tough crowd but also worthy of quality and fair pricing. They have turned things around with some of their prices. Produce is so-so. Deli was horrible but much better (still room for growth, their pre made items look gross and are unnecessarily expensive. Meat and poultry also very good. Now I only buy things on sale, If it is not on sale it is very expensive. This is the wrong store to do impulse shopping, and they are banking on that with some of the sale items that drive consumers into the store. So they went (for me) 1 star to 3 stars. Produce needs improvement, any store with "Farms" in their name should have top shelf produce I really hope in one year I can amend my rating to 4 stars read more

Just an average grocery store that replaced the old Waldbaums in Greenlawn. Very basic, about the same as you would find in any other place but the produce, meat and bakery departments seemed small and unimpressive. Return policy is a joke , tried to return honey that I lost the receipt too , and they said they did not carry said honey. I walked them to the shelf with the honey and they said "oh sorry we forgot" but refused the return still even though the honey was unopened. I'd heard some pretty positive reviews about green lawn farms, but found it disappointing. High ceilings, nicely arranged produce, but really a fairly average grocer, with a less than average organic section. That said I should acknowledge that I am largely an herbivore and do nearly all of my shopping in produce. I base most of my choices primarily on that department, and they were unimpressive. I paid little notice to meats, seafood, and bakery sections, and none to prepared foods. Conclusion - for great produce, keep looking. read more

Top notch! The produce department is outstanding. They carry a large variety of fruits and veggies, have a great organic selection, and there are many hard to find items, too. The deli has all Boars Head cold cuts that are delicious. The meat dept has a very good selection and the quality is great. The cheese selection is outstanding! For groceries, there are upscale items here. Great olive oil and pasta selections! If you appreciate quality items and fine food, this is the place for you. Yes it is a little more expensive than Stop and Shop, but you get what you pay for. One more thing: all of the staff are kind and go out of their way to help you. Highly recommended. A+++ read more

Overpriced products, terribly prepared foods that constantly give me indigestion. I'm literally burping up the lobster bisque I had for lunch from there right now and it's 6 hours later... Blegh.... Sorry for the TMI, but you need to know. Greenlawn Farms went from a great opening week to being one of the worst food stores in my area. The cold cuts always taste bland, even the quality name brands like Boars head. The rotisserie chicken is sub par. The prepared foods look great in their plastic packaging, and it's right when you walk in the door, but all too often there are food items days past the expiration on the shelf. With few exceptions, everything is either gross tasting, indigestion causing, overpriced, or all of the above. This is a shame because the fruit and produce aren't too bad, and their apples and other fruit are often crisp and sweet. The meats are also subpar, with their in house fresh made Italian sausage having literally no seasoning or soul. The fresh made sushi is adequate for supermarket sushi, and the manager is really nice. However, supermarket prepared or unprepared food is supposed to be cheaper than going for fast food or delis... and in every case, nothing this place has is worth the price. I can get better sushi for the same price at the local sushi place (Akebono), I can get better sammiches anywhere. Pats has much better meats, deli, and prepared food, and is affordable. I never thought I would miss Waldbaums, or prefer stop and shop to a locally owned grocery... but it's a fact. Greenlawn Farms either needs to close and open to someone who can do it better, or improve their products before I will become a regular. I wanted to love Greenlawn Farms and I did when it first opened, but lately I've had terrible experiences. I bought Bell and Evans Chicken thighs...not cheap, but was willing to pay the price. When I got home opened them they were bad even though the expiration date was weeks away. I've gotten Boars Head turkey breast which is fine, but the paper they use is cheap and thin. If you don't repackage your deli meats when you get home the next day the paper is wet and falling apart...at $12 a pound I shouldn't have to repackage what I just bought. The biggest turn off for me.....I bought organic heavy cream, it came in a glass bottle not cheap $6.99. When I got home and looked over my receipt I was charged a $2.00 bottle deposit! A $2.00 bottle deposit...guess what, milk is exempt from bottle deposits. So I was totally ripped off. Never going back. read more

I was looking forward to a new supermarket in town and, sadly, this was a big letdown. The produce department is very ordinary with not much selection. It's displayed nicely but I couldn't even find the organics. The meats are okay. No bargains found here. The biggest disappointment was the deli counter. The guys behind the counter were more interested in chatting with each other than waiting on customers. My order wasn't properly filled and when I asked them to correct it, I got major attitude. I have lived and shopped across this entire area for over 40 years. While their selection is good and varied, their quality okay, for the most part they are highly overpriced. But without a doubt they have the worst customer service I have ever seen in the area hands down - and that's being a serious area shopper and foodie for 40 years. The almost gave me a stroke the two times I had to return something. I am fairly determined to not go there again. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. It's really offensive how little they think about creating good customer relations. Their disdain feels intentional. I predict they will go out of business. Large, clean, and with some very nice specialty products at good prices. Deli limited but good quality and prices. Prepared food above-average. Great selection of cheese and smoked/pickled products at good prices. Meat very good and great prices. Dairy above average and with large selection of organic. Produce good with excellent prices.
