They also have a large parking lot -- plus underground parking that's free, which is a huge bonus. The area isn't overly busy, so the stores aren't crowded, and that's definitely a big plus for me. There are quotes & photos of Whitman scattered throughout & a statue at the entrance.. The mall is clean, bright & inviting. The Bloomingdale's, Saks, Apple, Tumi, Macy's, Pottery Barn, Sephora, Zara, Casper, Anthropologie ... Rocco's Tacos, PF Changs, California Pizza are here now.

Santa was taking pictures with people and while the parking lot was a traffic jam the weekend before Christmas, there are plenty of restaurants in and around the mall to relax and unwind when you need a break. Some of the larger anchor stores I think are still empty but the few that were left were well staffed and seemed to thrive. It's our local mall and although I'm not a fan of shopping, Walt Whitman does a fine job of keeping its building nicely decorated and clean.

I frequented many stores and in each one of them, the staff was super kind, attentive and friendly. I'm talking from Nordstrom to UniQlo to Columbia. Many didn't have my size which is what sucked, so while I'm left without a new puffer for now, I am still happy with the overall experience at this mall. Also given that it was my first time and around the holidays, I expected a lot of chaos and craziness, but it wasn't really all that bad at all. Finding a spot in the parking lot took a bit but there is extensive (and free!) parking. Also, the restrooms were clean and spacious, and had an attendant who was cleaning, which I always fully appreciate seeing. Beautiful holiday decorations and also the usual mall food options - though the food court was on the second floor, I believe, but an unexpected closer location for me since I was hungry and ended up getting a chicken salad bowl (delicious). This IKEA is really good when it comes to security compared to the one in Brooklyn where you got security checking everyone's receipts to see if you stole anything. Since this one is in Long Island, everything is seamless when checking out. Both IKEA locations still got the same type of products. This Broadway mall also has a movie theater where you can catch a late night movie after shopping and eating so that's a plus! Movies inside a mall is a must for me!

Ikea, Target and Round One will remain. I read a BJ's is also coming. I'll miss the old mall, lots of memories with my toddler there (at the time).

Seriously though if this is your kind of place then you'll love it. Good buys. Great people. Earthy aromas. It's basically a giant old indoor flea market. It's a huge building with a plethora of different vendors. They also feature a surprisingly good food court - ample selection of decently priced high calorie eats.

I used to love Woodbury Plaza. I'm here practically every day for some reason or another. But…read morelately they've decided to take a quarter of their parking lot and build an additional building. Why don't they have enough tenants in the front? It's cause a tremendous traffic snarl. It's awful now there's no place to park and I can't imagine anywhere once the new businesses come in. I think they've gotten greedy. Woodbury Plaza shame on you.
