Just a total rip off. They lie, take your money, and promise refunds that never come. I had a broken cable on my relatively old garage. The guy came over to fix it pretty quick. Spent two hours, blamed some part that he could not totally fix, and said I would need to replace it myself. Charged me $200 for the "service call." and insisted I pay with a check instead of a credit card. The fix lasted 12 hours. It literally broke the next morning when I tried to use the garage the next day. I called them back, and the owner promised they would not cash the check. Three weeks later, check hits bank account. After repeated calls, he promised to send me a refund. Two weeks of waiting later, never get anything. They keep promising things on the phone and texts. Apparently it will now come by ACH. Do not use these people. Do not trust them. They will rip you off and run away with the "service call" fee. read more

Let me tell you that Tom is a seasoned technician. Many little things that he did were pro moves, like filing down old rusty spots for better fitment, instead of just using brute force to install the new parts, or where he placed his tools and the dissembled parts; they were in simple reach and not precariously placed such that they could easily fall to the ground, or worst, on my car! Yes, I learned today that with one broken spring in a two-spring setup, the garage door cannot be opened manually or otherwise, and the work (installing the new spring) needs to be done in the garage where your car is parked. read more

Needed quick service on stubborn garage door (opener) that would not close. Checked for typical problems, could not readily identify anything amiss. Searched web for "Garage Door Repair" and my zipcode. Readily found Greenline, with local phone number provided. Called and was told technician could be at my home in a few hours. Subsequently Richard called, saying he was in another part of the Bay area but could be at my home in a reasonable period. He arrived (under 3 hours from original call) and checked. Nothing readily apparent to him either -- typical when problem doesn't manifest when you see your doctor or mechanic! But, since I owed for house call anyway, he lubed all appropriate parts and declared the unit OK to go. Richard was very neat and professional, and offered several helpful suggestions. Greenline advertises 24-hour service. Since I was very pleased, I'll call them next time there's a need. I put their number in my mobile phone. Wow, I am thoroughly impressed by Greenline. A car had bumped our garage and knocked it off the tracks. I called to get it repaired not thinking that I needed to get the whole door fixed. But I got two estimates saying I needed to replace the whole two car garage door, estimates of $1500-2000. I also called Greenline and they said they could just send someone to fix the door based on what I said. I was a bit skeptical given the other estimates. Eddy came, looked at it, and said he will try and just replace the parts, and seemed pretty confident that it should work. After about an hour, and working through limited space because of the garage had turned into part storage space, it worked! Eddy did a pretty amazing job. He knew the track was knocked crooked and made new fittings so that they were aligned straight. After that, he was also able to put on new sensors as it didn't work. When he was done the garage door when closing made a grinding sound which we both said was not there when he started the job. He didnt have any recommendations and left.
