I have worked will many contractors over the years, and Chris is setting the standard for me from now on. He showed up on time and prepared, kept me appraised of the schedule and details, explained the backlog of permitting and apologized for the rain delays (which were not his fault, of course). Green Point also took care of the insurance company communications, which was great. My most difficult challenges were choosing if I wanted the free upgrade to Class 4 rated roofing (I said yes) and picking the color with a little consultation with Chris B. Juan acted as Crew Leader and was amazing. Drake, Nico, Jorge Jr, and Finn had tarps down and the roof stripped by 9:00 in the morning and were doing the final clean up by 3:00pm. That included five new sheets of paneling installed and the magnet walk for lost nails. The team was clean, courteous, and contentious about the area. Plus, they were fun and friendly! Since my roof was replaced about 6 years ago, Greenpoint was the first company I called for a replacement this year. Thomas responded quickly but when he showed up he didn't have the measurements of the roof etc and said that when he got back to the office, he'd send an estimate "by the end of the week." I waited until mid-week the next week, nothing! Called the office and the receptionist said she'd get right on it. After another several days, NOTHING!.. Scott came by to take a look at our roof. We knew it was in bad shape but with no active leaks he recommended we wait until a hail storm comes though to see if we could file an insurance claim. The existing hail damage we have is too old to be able to claim. Our mistake for waiting! Either way, today he came back free of charge to leaf blow out our gutters and seal a few areas around vents/pipes coming out of the roof where critters had eaten away some of the seals. Scott came and evaluated my roof. The next day Scott met the insurance adjuster and supervisor from Premier to get him to show (Scott) where I could possibly have hail damage - because I had none. None! Premier solicitor told me I was one of the worst in the neighborhood. Scott went above and beyond to keep people honest and not take advantage of me. I was recommended to GreenPoint by several people. I called 7/2 left a voicemail and got no call back, called again on 7/5 and talked to someone who said the sales reps were off for the week and I'd get a call on Monday, 7/9, finally got a call 7/10 from Thomas who assured me he would be taking care of me from here on out. I needed a new roof and so did my parents, we both live in Lafayette. I emailed Thomas all of the documents from insurance for both my house and my parents. Have not received one call or email back to date, 7/22. Would not recommend a company like this that has such poor customer service. read more

He worked with us since the very beginning and has stuck with us until even after the roof was installed. Our insurance company was really digging in their heels not to have to pay for painting our house. However, Tyler stuck with it and continued to provide the insurance adjuster photos and estimates from multiple painting companies, in support of our claim. The insurance company finally paid for house painting due to Tyler's diligence and follow through. We decided to go with Greenpoint because we had received stellar reviews from a neighbor, plus there are all A++ ratings and reviews online. We did our homework: checking out reviews online, researching the type of superior roofing materials Greenpoint uses, and so on. We found that everything Tyler spoke was the truth, whereas other companies we met with were not so honest and transparent.
