This has got to be one of the worst run businesses I've ever experienced!!! If I could give ZERO stars, I would! PLEASE do not waste your time dealing with these extremely unprofessional people and please don't waste your hard earned money here either!!! I came in a week ago to simply get a copy of my car key cut to the new remote, which I had just bought elsewhere. The guy who cut the key charged me $50 for the new car key. I paid it and walked to my car to try it, but it didn't work to turn the ignition. I went back inside to tell him and he came out to try it himself, but it still did not work. He went back in to "re-cut" it, tried it again, and again after that, but it never did work. He told me that he would just put my old working key on my new remote and get me on my way. He did that AND KEPT THE FAULTY KEY. I asked for a refund for the key that he cut, which didn't work, and therefore could not be used, SO HE KEPT IT. He told me that he wasn't authorized to give refunds, but that I could come back any other day and that the manager would be able to help me with that. So I came in today, with my 2-month-old daughter in hand, for what I thought would be a quick and easy refund exchange, but instead was met with the MOST hassle that I have ever had to deal with from ANY business in order to get my money back. I walked in and explained my situation to the owner/manager and he straight up told me, "No, you don't get a refund for that. He went through the trouble to cut the key for you, didn't he?" I explained again that the key, which is what I paid for, didn't work, and ultimately WAS NOT GIVEN TO ME, so I would like my money back for that. He had the audacity to deny my refund, claiming that they did me a favor by swapping MY old key into MY remote. As if that's what I paid $50 for! He called the guy who originally cut the key and asked him about it. I'm not sure what the guy told him over the phone, but the owner laughed and said "No, I'm not doing that. I'll take care of it" Then he walked me outside and tried to tell me how I wouldn't be getting a refund for the key because the guy did me a favor by swapping my old key into my remote! I told him that I did not ask him to do that, nor is that what I paid $50 for, and THEY kept the faulty key! He told me it was still time spent and at best he could give me "half of my money back". HALF! As if that is an acceptable resolution for selling me defective product that I never received. I told him, no, that I wanted my full refund for the key I paid for that didn't work and I never received. I told him all the guy did for me was swap MY original key onto MY new remote, which I could've done myself. To that he said "Well, why didn't you?" I told him because he offered and didn't say anything about charging me, because if he had, I would've told him no. He told me "Half. Take it or leave it." I told him that I'm not leaving without my money back, and to that he told me, "Well, how about, just to get your ass outta here, I just take the key off, give you your money back, and you can put it on yourself!" I immediately told him to do it because I'm not paying $25 for anything that I can easily do myself and IS NOT what I was charged for in the first place. This whole exchange took place outside, in the cold, for about 30 minutes, while I was holding my two-month-old daughter in my arms, wrapped in a blanket, and this unprofessional, rude, and heartless manager couldn't care less about her wellbeing or helping me resolve the situation, when HIS BUSINESS was holding onto money I was charged for faulty merchandise that was ultimately not even given to me. I honestly can't believe that a business can operate with such blatant disregard for its customers, but I truly hope that this establishment doesn't last much longer, so they can't continue to scam, intimidate, or mistreat other people in the surrounding community. Every time I go here to have a key made, they give me these huge keys that have "DO NOT DUPLICATE" emblazoned on them. Huh? And then the keys don't work. EVER. I bring the key back and they tell me I'm not putting it into the keyhole correctly. Excuse me, do you think I'm an idiot? College degree (pardon me, but do YOU have one???) and I can't slip a key in a keyhole and turn it? When the key on my keychain works? You're the morons. Bring your keys to Spring True Value Hardware. They're just north up the road on Kuykendahl and they have an old-fashioned key-cutting machine. Works every time. And they don't give you the stupid keys that have DO NOT DUPLICATE on them, like I'm some sort of thief or undercover agent. Get real, guys. I needed a set of keys for my kids, not a lecture on ineptitude. Love your tats, but you need to figure out how to cut keys. Lost a customer here. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I have a rental property and utilized this shop a year and a half ago to change the locks between rentals. They charged approx. $150 for rekeying 9 locks. Because the price was so fair I enlisted their service again in 2017 for the same exact work. I was charged 3X the price I was charged a year and a half ago. My service came out to over $500. Upon visiting the shop and speaking with a representative, their only explantation was "our price went up." YES, thank you for stating the very obvious. Will not be returning due to lack of professionalism in customer service, empathy, and notification of 300% + price increase. read more

This company engages in deceptive practices. They ran my card, claimed it didn't go through. I paid in cash. They gave me a receipt that didn't specify "cash" on it. An hour later, my card went through. The aholes charged me a total of $258.00 to unlock my car door. I repeatedly called and emailed seeking resolution. The dispatchers always took my name and number but no one ever called back. This company is run by cowards who steal money from their customers. Customer trust and loyalty matter, choose a company worthy of yours. This one isn't. read more

I had a doorknob that decided to quit working. It was worn out inside. I didn't have a locksmith, just picked one and called Green's. It was raining buckets, flooding everywhere. The tech showed up, apologized for being late and started working on the door (thank goodness it was the garage door into the house....so it was inside the garage). He worked on it and finally got it apart. He got it fixed then cut some keys for me. Second time I used them. We got a new travel trailer and lost one set of keys. I had to special order the key blanks from the dealership. I took the key blanks to them, they cut all four of the keys and didn't charge me a penny! (They work great!) Fast, courtesy and very helpful. Thank you guys for going to extra mile to help me out. read more

Been going to Green's for years. I gotten keys made and they don't say Do Not Duplicate. If you give them a key that says, "Do Not Duplicate" then they have to give you a Do Not Duplicate key. As for not fitting, locks do need lubricating periodically for the key to fit. I have often given them the number of a lock on a used filing cabinet I've bought and I was able to get a working key for the cabinet. Green's has always been a good lock shop for me. read more

This experience started out ok. They didn't have key i needed and was going to order some. No money necessary as he needed keys anyway. Few weeks latet i go by and still no keys. I was then told i had to prepay for key. After 3 weeks i went to cancel order and was told to come back Monday because i paid with credit card. Monday I'm told the key is mine and i can't cancel. Sign says 20% restocking and another says something like no refund on program keys. Key wasn't programmed he just wasn't willing to refund. No restocking or anything else offered. I've completed the $48 lesson by collecting the key and moving on. Very disappointed with change of attitude in customer service. read more

The customer service is good. The manager Kris/Chris worked with me determine my problem and help get me the right product. My technician Ken was on time and very helpful, he explained to me what he was doing since I've never used a locksmith before. Re key Kit. 49.00 Labor to install. 47.50 Service call. 75.00 Total cost w/tax. 185.65 for 4 keys. When I called yesterday to ask why so expensive, he answered "That's the way it is." I reached out to them yesterday to have a lock popped at a rental property we have. Cimeron gave me total for this service and we arranged a time to meet up at the property. He arrived and we quickly discovered we didn't need the lock popped after all. Be very careful if you decide to do business with Green's Lock Shop. I was given a quote over the phone for re-keying 14 locks at the home we had recently bought. When the technician completed the work, the invoice he presented was TWICE what I had been quoted. He apologized and called the manager so I could speak to him. The manager had no good reason the technician had been instructed to bill me so much. He said he could only authorize $50 off the invoice. I was quoted about $280 and ended up paying over $500 for the work. The technician told me the shop has a new owner who is invoicing customers differently.
