This place is like a caricature of ghetto. From the moment you get near this place, you'll know something's amiss. Across the street is a flea market, and the pothole-ridden parking lot is mostly empty even on a weekend. You won't recognize 99% of the stores here. Everywhere you look you'll find thuggish losers holding up their pants, architecture straight out of the early 90s, buckets lining the floors to catch leaks, and cheaply-stocked stores full of Chinese trash with lay-away plans. Most areas you will walk will have unusual urine-like or mildewish smells. If you even have the most remote amount of class, you'll feel like you've just wandered upon some place you shouldn't be. After you leave here, you'll be wanting to make a trip to the Galleria just to get this environment out of your system. This saddest thing? This review wasn't meant to be an exaggeration. read more

yea so I just left from here like maybe an hour ago but LETS BE CLEAR when I walked inside they got rid of footaction. seeing how covid is getting worse and they are acting a bit uppity. the store "Rainbow" is very high maintenance when it comes to buying clothes. I previously bought a dress from them a few months before. It was on display....ON THE MANNEQUIN. I purchased it without any complaints. WELL LETS FAST FORWARD TO NOW. the city is getting worse because ignorant people is causing breakouts of covid. I tried to do the same thing as I did before. okay, everything is on clearance, I should be okay to buy anything I want. I was looking for some jeans for work and my eyes caught a really pretty dress. As soon as I asked my boyfriend to grab the mannequin so I can get the dress and all the cashiers that wasn't paying me no attention suddenly had a heart attack all for a dress. I couldn't buy it because of the "managers floor plan." the manager needs to put more shipment of the same item. manager needs to make sure the other mannequins have clothes on too. manager needs to make sure that it doesn't stink in there. let's hope the manager knows what they are doing before covid shuts them down. again. I'll give them till December. watch it rot. read more

Wow, ok this mall is considered bad, but it isn't worse than the old Sharpstown mall. I've came to this mall at night and it still wasn't crime infested. The mall on the inside does look outdated and it probably has old carpet. I came to the Dillard's which has discounted clothing. The ladies clothing are bunched up and seem very messy to browse. Whereas the men clothing is nicely placed and some clothing was color-coded. The clothing is affordable--some was $4 and some were regular price ($65). I had one lady staring me down my throat while I was shopping--not sure what her problem was. The parking lot is messed up--I wasn't sure if I was parking in a spot or not. The white tape was deteriorated. The pavement is rocky, so beware if you have tires with minimum thread. This mall reminds me of Almeda Mall--a mall where people just gave up on and found somewhere better to shop. You will find a steal here--that's no doubt. read more

Where to begin... this "mall" is old, creepy, and disgusting. Drove around the parking lot for 5 mins trying to find an entrance, as the entire mall looks abandoned. So many gross smells coming from the pathetic food court. A homeless bum kept following my boyfriend and I around. First he asked for cigarettes, then he aggressively asked if we could buy him pizza. The mall and the whole neighborhood of Greenspoint is dangerous. Do not go near here or any of the cheap motels that are on Interstate 45. Both sides. You really put your life in danger in this part of Houston. There's about a ten mile stretch of which the mall is in the midpoint that is totally unsafe . It's been this way for years. I love Houston but this and areas near Gulfgate Mall on the way to Galveston are equally bad. This is for Macy's only! I normally go in to pay my bill hassle free and can occasionally find a good deal. It seems the things I like are not what the normal clientele there likes so win for me....yay. The staff is normally really friendly too. Horrible mall. Came to let my kids play at the play area because it was over 100 F while we were visiting. Help -- Stopped by the tourist info area for some help about the play area as it was closed. Counter lady couldn't put the phone down while talking to her man - lol! She was talking so low I couldn't hear her, so she eventually put him on hold and answered my question about the playscape - "It's broke - I don't know anything." no further help, guidance, or goodbye offered - she just picked her call from her man and started talking to him while I stood there. Mall is dead from what I saw. Took the kids over to the Galleria and they had a blast. Don't waste your time at this place. read more

Ugh.. Greenspoint mall -- what a disappointment. I am sure, at one point in its life, this was a real mall -- complete with lots of customers and stores. Today, it is just a mall -- with no customers and very few stores. Why do I keep coming here? It has a few stores that I love -- Game World and the suit place. How do they stay in business? Not a clue: maybe from random people like me. But seriously, its dead in there. I guess at one point, this mall had a nickname of Gunspoint mall -- but even the thugs are gone. Nobody left to rob, I guess :) LOL Overall, its a lost cause mall -- even on a busy Saturday shopping day, it was dead -- Nobody is in the mall. Decided to check back at this mall maybe 2 weeks ago to get the raffle tickets for the Yeezy Boost release at Footaction and I remember telling my wife the moment we stepped through the front door that "they shouldn't have them orange buckets this time around since it's SUNNY and hot as heck outside!!!" And what do you know, two white buckets were sitting right there on the floor when I turned the corner, and found 3 more before reaching Footaction...!!! LOL what the heck man, how could it be still leaking and leaking from WHAT!?!? Anyways there is no improvement at this place and so I will only be here for the shoe stores only. read more

Well where do i start, a slight step up from its close counterpart Northline Mall. But that really isnt saying much, the parking has always seemed strange to me, but its probably just me. I dont recommend going here after dark unless you are in the mood to be part of some random act of violence. The stores are rapidly depleting and being replaced with slutty clothing stores and dollar stores. This place is hands down the only mall to have gone from above average, to complete crap in only a few years. Its only about a year away from become Northline Mall V 2.0 avoid this mall like the plague, head over to Willowbrook, or go to Wal-Mart or something. read more

Lol at the fact that people call this place Gunspoint. I feel safe here, there is a fricken Police Station in the mall for crying out loud. I went in here to check on some shoes for my boo and they were WAY cheaper here than at the Galleria.. hmm I wonder why. I'm all about saving money so that's motivation. Its right across the street from my job and just too convenient. I'd rather shop a little for some tops or whatever at these locally owned stores while traffic dies down before heading back to the Energy Corridor than wait to shop on the other side of town. I didn't see any shady, seedy characters or feel threatened. Mostly families with children or single people. All I can say is that they could maybe use a map or some signs in here to point you in the right direction. I notice a lot of traffic for the Fitness Connect that is here. I like seeing that diversity in this area and a bunch of people getting their healthy on. Parking was easy but I'm one of those people that doesn't mind walking a little because I don't want my baby (car) getting dinged or scratched. Lots of options in the food court and plenty of places to sit and rest. The one store I WISH they had is Victoria's Secret. If I want designer I can go to the Woodlands, Galleria or shop on line. I save the movie theater and I hear its a new addition but I didn't check it out. Maybe next time which will probably be sooner than later. If you have to have the glitz, glam and high end then this is simply NOT the place for you. Take your scary butt somewhere else then. I rate this mall three stars for one reason; the massive food court. This mall has barely hung on in the past decade and lost JCPenney, Ward's, Mervyn's, and the cinema. Dillard's has turned into a clearance center, closed their second floor, and Macy's closed their second floor down also. This mall has Anna's Linen's and Palais Royal as junior anchors. Fitness connection opened in the old Mervyn's spot. This mall still has several stores worth going to and is not dead yet. read more

Ghetto and don't even think about going in there because you might scream unless you're brave enough to go in the mall. Dirty in there all these orange buckets and it smells and old. I'm not sure if I should even review this mall, but it came up as "Your Next Review Awaits", so here I am. If you've been in Houston for 30-40 years, you would know that Greenspoint used to be one of the better malls to go to. It's weird how things change for the better or worse over the years. This weekend I dropped in to pass time while i was in the area, waiting on someone. It really brought back memories because I spent a lot of money and hours in that mall during my High School years. If you were in high scool in the early to mid 90s you will be familiar with Oak Tree, The Wild Pair, Jeans West and the list goes on. Towards the latter part of the 90s Signature came on board AND they are still there. The big plus is that Macy's is still there with the big clearance area. I think a lot people are still going to Macy's for that reason. There aren't any cuttin' edge clothing stores that fit my style. Well, that's my spill! read more

Absolutely horrible. A lot of vacant businesses and filthy. We immediately left and went to the Deerbrook mall.

Well as you can see its not a great place to shop. Its more like a big fleamarket.. Just go accross the street its cheaper

All that's left are the memories of a better place. The stores are slowly closing down and being replaced by temporary/sub-par establishments. The best thing about this mall is Premier Cinemas Renaissance (which is actually separate but connected by a hallway). The children's play area and arcade have also disappeared. I only visit for the movies and a quick shopping trip for cheap accessories. Honestly, there are plans in the works for this mall. I would give it a few years and see how things turn out. Based on the Greenspoint District news it will be worth the wait. read more

I was passing time in the area and stopped in the stores that interested me but I couldn't help but notice I was one of the only people in the whole place with a lighter skin complexion. I got looks from everyone multiple times and even stared down by this group of black men wearing saggy jeans and wifebeaters. Avoid this place like the plague. I'm only giving it 2 stars because I found an incredibly cute shawl for winter time that didn't look trashy (90% of all of the material in the stores for clothes is extremely low grade) for $60. Stuck in an airport hotel and wanted to take my kids to the movies to get them out of the room and this mall had the closest theater so we went and omg what an awful experience. The theater wasn't horrible (not great) but as we are leaving I ask a worker why the theater is attached to a closed down mall and she tells me it's open which is weird because I saw no people or signage anywhere so I decide to go check it out and it was legit like being in a mall in one of those zombie apocalypse movies, empty and disgusting! We stopped in one store which was a toy store only because my daughters saw an LOL toy well it was priced at 19.99 and when I commented on how high it was she said for you I do 14.99 which is WHAT THEY SELL FOR AT TARGET!! She also said her register was down so to buy it she would need my card info. Total scam! "Food court" if you can call it that was some nasty pizza place that also wouldn't take a card. The few stores that weren't shut down looked like absolute garbage. Will definitely never be returning! read more

I grew up not too far from this mall and watched it go from good to bad. I have fond memories of how impressive the Christmas decor inside of Foley's (now Macy's) was as a kid. I don't think the mall is as bad as most make it out to be. It's definitely a "dead mall" and an eyesore when driving past, but I don't feel like it's unsafe (HPD has a substation inside the mall). I don't usually come here, but I have found some decent deals at their Dillard's Clearance Center and Macy's in the past. Both stores are extremely dated and still look the exact same way as they did in the 90s. Considering how much Houston has changed in the last 15-20 years; the 90s decor is kind of nostalgic and brings me back to simpler times, so I don't mind it. It's a large mall and has potential to be great due to its proximity to IAH, but... Like most, I'm skeptical if this mall will ever return to its former glory. read more

I came to this mall to kill some time while here in Houston and Wow....this mall is disgusting. I would give it 0 stars if I could. Firstly, I walked into the macys entrance with seemingly NO air conditioning on in the place, a check out line about 6 people deep with only one worker, and clothes on the floor everywhere!! In the main mall, there are odd orange buckets placed on the ground almost everywhere you walk. I found out they're there cause the roof has frequent leaks. The lighting in this mall is completely dim and dark... depressing. The people that come to this mall are low class. The security here is also a joke. I walked past 2 mall security guards with 1 laughing on his cell phone and the other asleep in a massage chair. This guard was supposed to be monitoring the cameras in the middle of the mall cubicle but I found him right next to it ASLEEP!!! I must have turned behind me at least 5 times to make sure there wasn't anyone following me out to my car. Overall I felt very unsafe and gross in this place and I definitely will NOT be returning. read more

The mall has obviously seen better days. The arcade there is in terrible shape with many machines being out of order. The many thrift like stores seem to have taken the place of the closed shops which sure does make the place lovely. The shops like News n More and News n More 2 feel like I'm at the gas station in a rundown neighborhood. The Dillards didn't feeling like a Dillards. It felt more like I was at the Salvation Army or the Flea Market. The Macy's sure was nice with the unused second floor and lack of ceiling. (same goes for the Dillards) I think the only thing I've seen in any recent visit that the mall had going for it was a modeling agency and a Stackers machine. Other than that, the place is a rundown flea market. Take your business elsewhere like Willowbrook or Deerbrook. read more
