Who doesn't love HomeGoods?! After moving from Cali, I was told there was no such store out here, but was pleasantly surprised to find out that was inaccurate info provided. Yay me! I finally had a chance to visit, as I wanted to buy a few items to freshen up the decor in my home. I was not disappointed. It was very crowded, which caught me by surprise, but I could've just been there at the wrong time. There was a little bit of everything for every style. I didn't end up purchasing this time, but I am looking forward to visiting again (when I can take my time and look around better) and splurging a bit. read more

Floor Manager/ Cashier Manager Andy Was Very Rude ! All I Asked For Was a discount for a damage clothed item (Only Item left) , I was told to wash it and if It don't come out, i Can return it! Absolute worst customer service at this location. They have a terrible CEC, Assistant Manager and Store Manager. Money hungry pigs here. They refused to honor the holiday discount on Christmas items, an item marketed with snowflakes and snowmen. It's not the customers fault the store is severely understaffed that merchandise is up to the ceiling in their stock room that they did not get out in time for the holidays. Lazy and rude managers! The store is also a pig stye, unorganized and dirty there was a roach in the bedding section, disgusting and health violation. read more

Home goods is the goat!!!! I feel like an old woman because my mom and grandma always loved this type of store when I was a kid and I was like whatever let's leave. They have everything here!! I've bought so many dog treats / dog treat containers here. Workout clothes, going out t-shirts / polos, gifts, you name it. Best of all of course is that it's always so cheap! Horrible display of professionalism at this location. Looking for decor on a quiet Tuesday when I see an associate and what appeared to be a manager with her when she gripes "JESUS CHRIST" in frustration because they needed help carrying out a piece of furniture for another customer. I overheard the manager moments later say to her "my own wife doesn't speak to me that way" in a laughing matter so it is obvious this behavior is tolerated. I am all for saying whatever comes to mind but there is a time and certainly a place, cursing loudest and talking down to associates on the sales floor is unacceptable. So I visited this T.J. Maxx today in search of a nice journal. Like usual when I go shopping, I was quickly side tracked as soon as I walked in the door. I also didn't realize they are connected with Home Goods so it was a (pleasant) surprise. We don't have Home Goods in my home state (T.J. Maxx just stocks everything themselves) so it was a new experience. I'm I'm using two stars because the store (mainly on the Home Goods side) was pretty messy. Many of the little aisles were impossible to get through because the overflow of products being displayed on the floor. I struggled for about 10 minutes looking for the journals because they were on a random little shelf, surrounded by desk chairs. There were also many employees all about but I never once heard any of them greet or even acknowledge customers. The check out line was extremely long & the cashier I ended up with didn't even speak to me except to tell me my total. read more

There are a plethora of pros and cons to this store. There's a great selection, and the home decor is top notch; however, the lines are a huge turnoff. My mom and I were in this afternoon, and only three registers were open. Compared to other locations in Houston, I've found the TJ Maxx on Gray Street to be the absolute best. This is THE best-looking TJ Maxx I've ever set foot into! Great lighting, HUGE space, wide aisles, and everything is so organized! Had I not known beforehand that this was a TJ Maxx, I'd have thought I was shopping in a fancy mall department store. And if you couldn't find what you needed here, you could check out equally-sized Home Goods next door, which shares an open partition with TJ's. Be sure to check out the beautiful mosaic-mirrored deer this Christmas/holiday season-- if I have an extra $1K to spare (plus tax!), I'd have one set up in my veranda, darling. ;) read more

What is not to like about Homegoods?! This one is spacious, so many quality items. Great selection of pillows!!!! I have found really nice curtains and fabulous pictures here! For the most part the aisles are organized (can't help other customers putting things back in their spot- but then again I think we are all guilty at one point for that LOL). If you're looking to browse - try and go during a slow time of the day, like right when it opens! This one is B-U-S-Y but sometimes the finds can be worth it! read more

Walked in there 2 days before Black Friday to get a couple flannels, tried using my girlfriends discount card and was belittled and embarrassed by the manager for trying to use it, like it's my fault that I wasn't very well informed on the policy with the card? I'm a loyal customer of T.J. Maxx and this is a wonderful T.J. Maxx-HomeGoods combination. When designers and brands create a surplus of goods, T.J. Maxx buys up excess merchandise not sold in the flagship or department stores. So, the clothes and shoes may be a little behind seasons, so what? You're getting name brands for a fraction of the cost. This store seems to carry Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, and Kensie all the time. I've bought 1/2 a dozen pairs of Franco Sarto shoes at this store - I still have them, too! The layaway option is also useful because you can make payments on pricier items, or save to fully purchase on a later date (closer to payday). The Home Goods is a hit and miss, and always seems to have gone through a natural disaster. Occasionally they will have a some cool furniture pieces. Home Goods items cannot go on layaway, however. Went to T.J. Maxx/Home Goods store. Of course, we were wearing masks and prepared to distance. When we entered the store, we were greeted and told the check out line was long. We started walking thru the store and realized the store was packed with people, most not wearing masks and no social distancing. The line for check out wrapped around the entire store and blocking aisles so shoppers were forced to share one main aisle to get around and putting people very close. While the public should be responsible on their own and take measures to keep all of us safe, retail stores need to have a plan that unfortunately takes into account the public's irresponsible behavior. This was not safe for shoppers or employees. Out of respect for the almost 80.000 who have died from this virus that is so contagious, the brave medical professionals caring for the sick, the first responders protecting us from ourselves, I was disappointed that the amount of people in the store was not regulated and the employees not protected. read more

Today makes twice I've spent over an hour of my time looking for garments to try on, find at least 7- & try them on. 2 are great, so I go to check out- & find the checkout line is AGAIN at least 12 people deep!! Knowing it's not a speedy one, I leave my would be purchases because it's not worth another 1/2 hr to pay for them. I come during the week, early afternoon- I don't even attempt this madness on the weekends. You guys need to step it up or I won't bother even coming in anymore. These 2 stars not for the store, it's for T.J. Maxx cooperation. My husband was helping me to return the stuff I bought, they put his name on credit store card. And don't let me use it because the card wasn't my name. All they can explain it's their new policy. If so their new policy is too annoying. First the man doesn't shop in there , second if he died I would lose my money. Or I have bring my marriage license to get their approval to use my money. i was there yesterday. overheard employees complaining about being psychologically abused.at work? had to leave my shopping cart in an aisle somewhere as there just is no room for that. My suggestion is to switch all shopping carts for the small ones that can fit.down these aisles. I forgot something else I wanted to get so I returned today. big mistake. The checkout line was minimum 40 customers long. Unless they are giving something free I am not about to waste that amount of time. The staff here is incredibly rude!! (aside from about 2 young guys, one who was on his first day of the job!) I went in to buy a rug and a desk chair. First, while browsing, an employee comes up with a cart and says nothing, just STARES at me waiting for me to move when there's obviously tons of other isles she could go down. I kindly moved out of the way anyway, but didn't even get an "excuse me" or "thank you". Just seems like the kind of courtesy a customer should get. But anyway, then I got to the checkout- the cashiers told me a different price on the chair than what the tag said. When I tried to explain it was on clearance because it had a pink tag, no one listened just talked over me "NOPE the code says this..." so I didn't buy it. Still no hard feelings on my part. Then comes the rug. It is a WHITE rug, and they tell me they won't wrap it with plastic or anything. All they would give me was a plastic bag wrapped around the end. It's an 8x10, so that definitely didn't cover much. The young kid told me "we have some plastic in the back we use to wrap couches maybe we can use that" but he QUICKLY got the stink eye from his older, bitchier female counterpart as she said "we don't use that to wrap rugs." I was very kind in asking for some sort of protection for my white rug but was very rudely shot down. Eventually the young kid got some cardboard for me to lay down but I still was very unhappy with this experience. As I was loading the rug, the woman was literally standing in the window side-eyeing me. I didn't do anything to make these people mad, but I was treated horribly. On top of all that, the store is a disaster. Completely unorganized. Don't try to take a cart anywhere, it won't fit down a lot of the isles. I know Homegoods is a "discount store" but it's still retail.. an essentially customer service-focused industry. These people must not have known that when they applied. If you're looking for even decent customer service, id stay far away from here! read more

I really enjoy shopping here and love the election of designer purses at discounted prices. The downside is that they have limited quantities of things and often the are very picked over. The staff is also not very friendly and the line to check out is often a good ten to fifteen minute wait. That is why I only give them 3 stars... I have a love/hate relationship for Home Goods..I just recently started shopping here.. They are a part of the TJ Max Brand & I really don't care for your TJ Max, Steinmart, Marshall's etc type stores..Reason being, back in the days every TJ Max store, as well as the others listed looked a complete mess on the inside..It was like being on a hunt for needle in a hay stack ..Most of the items were either damaged or pieces were missing.. It just didn't make for good purchasing..Well times and the powers that be have somewhat changed..This location is pretty organized...Ive made a few household items purchases from here..This past weekend was my first time visiting the store while their holiday items were out..I purchased this unique and well crafted Reindeer.. It was pretty pricey considering it was coming from Home Goods.. Well I got it home and realized one of the antlers were slightly damaged..Before I purchased it, I took a picture of it and sent it to my Husband to see if he liked it.. Well I referred back to that picture to see if it was damaged before I purchased it or was it something that happened while transporting it home..Needless to say, it was damaged before I even touched it..Nevertheless, I decided to keep it..I hate returning things..I was able to repair it with a glue gun and some patience.. I said all that to say, THOROUGHLY inspect any and EVERYTHING you purchase from Home Goods. Now I've heard some people say that the reason why these type of stores discount their prices is because of the slight defects or imperfections on the merchandise.. However, I don't know that to be facts... So again I say, inspect before purchasing. read more
