I initially came in for a consult to see what can be done to save and/or restore my wisdom and molar tooth. In addition I had slight pain in my molar and wasn't sure why since i had previously received a root canal in that tooth some years ago. Nevertheless, I ended up getting Dr Bruk as my dentist. He seemed cool, and I had a decent and friendly conversation with him. He did x-rays and couldn't quite tell me what the problem was. He starred at my x-rays looking lost and confused. He kept trying to explain to me the issue but to be honest I knew he was having trouble being straight with me, outside of the fact that he kept telling me the tooth had to be pulled and could not be saved, he didn't know why i was experiencing the pain (which only happened when i chewed which is what I kept repeating). I just wish he would have just told me that he wasn't sure what the problem was as far as the pain was concerned...but i feel like he didn't want to look stupid or less than smart. At the end of the day he was making up reasons as to why i was experiencing the pain, because he didnt really know why. He later wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic "just in case" i had an infection or came down with one....just in case?? After i repeatedly asked if i had and infection of which he could not really give me a straight answer. But that was nothing compared to what he did next. I then asked him to clean my teeth, and he did. It was a little uncomfortable from what i was used to but i managed through it. He kept aggressively cleaning around the problem (molar) tooth.When i got home i realized that i had a crack in the tooth that went from the front to the back, a crack that was NOT there before i saw him. Immediately after i got home i experienced pain!! I knew that an infection was going to set in so i went to fill the antibiotic prescription he gave me. I later called to make an appointment to see him again and was told i had to call later on in the week because that was when he was available. SO I did, later making an appointment and saw him that weekend. Again he kept babbling about how i need to pull the tooth BUT HE DID NOT WANT TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY OR ACKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THAT HE CRACKED MY TOOTH, which is what caused me to have an full on pain and now a very active infection. I believe his thought process was that i needed it pulled anyway so why does it matter, but I didn't ask him to expedite the process. Then he got a little defensive because I was told him he should have never tampered with that particular tooth ( he cleaned it aggressively ). He changed the prescription to another medication in the same drug class ( which also did not help). What he should have done was change the drug class altogether because at this point the bacteria is now resistant. DUH! I called him a couple of days later telling him the antibiotics were not working (at this point i had been on them for a little over a week. the pain, swelling and infection was NOT clearing up, in fact it only worsened). THEN he had the audacity to have an attitude because i asked him to change the drug class, later telling me if it doesn't work to go to the ER to get IV antibiotics...WHAT THE HECK!!??? HE EXACERBATED A PROBLEM AND NOW HE'S MAD BECAUSE RESOLVING IT IS INCONVENIENCING HIM??? Further telling me to go see a specialist, of which i told him i was NOT going to wait a week to resolve the problem that i was experiencing of which he instigated. He came off, at this point very arrogant and annoyed but i didn't care because he did this to me! Angry or livid do not come even close to how I feel about this situation and the person who caused it. At times i wish there were ways that these types doctors can be policed. Some are good, and some are not and its unfortunate that you find out which ones are bad based on negative experiences or encounters that ultimately end up affecting the patient way more than the doctor. Even as i expressed pain he didn't even give me a prescription for that! Dr Bruk, I thank you for making my experience and my visit to ST Jude Dental Clinic a regrettable one!!!!

Dr. Conley is a great dentist. I've been to him twice - once for a cleaning and again for a filling. He was very thorough and took his time to explain to me what was going on. I had questions concerning the filling, so he drew me a picture to show what he was doing! Then when I had the filling done, he wanted to make sure I was completely comfortable with it. He even went back after the procedure when I expressed hesitancy about how it felt. The only thing I've got to comment on is if you're going to need an x-ray for wisdom teeth, I would suggest going somewhere else. You need a panoramic and unfortunately, Dr. Conley will not be able to provide you one. Wish I'd known before I actually gotten the x-rays, but what can you do? I ended up paying 109.00 out of pocket to go to a different dentist to get them done because my insurance only covered one Xray per annual coverage.

Dr. Cave took what felt and sounded liked sand paper dental floss to a tooth without warning me or asking for my consent. When I calmly and politely stopped him and asked what was happening he walked away to cool off and had the audacity to return and ask if *I* had calmed down. At no point was I not calm. Asking for information from a doctor, especially when it turns out that what he did ended up in my needing a crown on the tooth he took sand paper to and a root canal on a separate tooth he messed up was not only just good bedside manner but, it turns out, a prudent ask on my part as he wasn't doing a good job. Throughout the time I saw Dr. Cave he was rude, abrasive, and I have no doubt that there are many women in his life who would say the same about him. The office is dirty, there is no social distancing, chairs are cramped together and there is no hand sanitizer anywhere. They also don't enforce mask wearing. What really pissed me off, however, is the fact that I was seen over 30 minutes past my appointment time even though I arrived 30 minutes early. A man came in 15 or so mintues past his appointment time and the doctor still let him go back, even though we were now approaching into my appointment time. I guess he was a regular. He also was walking around and talking freely with no mask. It's already uncomfortable enough being at the dentist's office during COVID. The dentist was nice but she kept pushing me to get braces, even though that had nothing to do with my issue and no other dentist I've seen my whole life has ever suggested it. We appreciate the Saturday appointments and have no trouble rescheduling if needed. When my son was very young and needed a tooth pulled, Dr. Rezvani made it a breeze with initial numbing and then talking my son through closing his eyes for the novocaine shot. I think my son lost (4?) shark teeth that way with no problems. We laugh about it now, because that novocaine syringe is hefty, and he never knew until a teen. I'm a little sorry the VA office closed because DC parking is trickier; but I use a parking spot app, and it works out. Our insurance didn't provide great dental coverage, but Dr. Rezvani's office made it work. Highly recommend.

Let me explain in below: Cleaning: Doctor Lopez herself did my cleaning since it was my first time there and it was horrible. I had so much pain while she was cleaning and my gum was bleeding heavily, as she used a metal pin to scratch the teeth. In none of my past cleanings, I felt so bad. My teeth were extremely sensitive afterward for a few days as I think she introduced some new holes in my teeth. Cavity diagnostic: She took an Xray and argued 6 of my teeth need to be filled immediately. I regularly go to the dentist for checkups and it was never the case that they recommend fixing 6 teeth at once. Filling cavity: I don't trust if she did it right. Based on what he showed me on a software analyzing my Xrays, shallow part of my teeth had a cavity but she carved very deep into teeth to "super clean" all the germs. I think this actually creates a problem for my teeth in the future. Upselling products: She sold a very expensive night guard (300$) which I never got used to it. I don't recommend her.
