Penne Al Vodka with crispy chicken, penne al vodka with shrimp

Food was delicious and came out quick. The waitstaff was friendly and we were seated quickly. We got the Penne Al Vodka with crispy chicken and one with shrimp. The sauce was the perfect color and it was plated beautifully. The chicken was the perfect amount of crispy. We also got a large cheese pizza to go. The pizza was delicious. We will be back!

We've been fans of Greentown Grill for the past few years, and have been wanting to check it out since they're under new ownership. The positives- the staff is great. They couldn't be nicer, and they're very helpful. Braylee was our server, and she really hustles. They were working so hard last night, and we really appreciated that. The food is pretty good. My daughter ordered the loaded baked potato soup, and we both really thought it was broccoli cheese. It was ok, but really didn't taste like homemade. I had a Rachel (like a Reuben sandwich), and it was good, but to add a side of fries was $5 extra. $15 for a sandwich and fries? We've noticed the pricing under the new owner is much higher now. Monday's special is $21 for lasagna. At a fancy Italian restaurant I might expect it to be that much, but at a very casual dining spot in the Poconos? I wouldn't expect to pay more than $15, even with soup or salad. We see the specials they post each day and we're usually a bit shocked at the pricing. That's something I will miss about the previous owner. I wish the new owner all the best, and hope they will continue to thrive, but I can't say we'll be back too often, other than maybe for breakfast. Side note, I always tip 20-25% or more, but I never tip on the tax, and thought that was weird to see on the receipt.

Great service and wonderful meals at the Greentown Grille, everyone was doing the COVID 19 safety guidelines and social distancing. The food was hot and delicious, especially good was the chicken noodle soup, like homemade and hearty. The liver and onions and bacon was great, I enjoyed the ample sweet potato fries and onion rings. Dad loved his Fisherman's Combo and we certainly will be back to have more dinners at the Greentown Grille. We have also had their Shrimp Scampi, and their steaks which are both excellent, their gyros too, and their reubens and rachels for lunch. I have to upload photos from my phone, I had thought I shared a review on yelp, anyhow, Anita, Pattie, and all the waitstaff are excellent.

two plates of breakfast food on a table

Ate here a few months ago and it was terrible! Gave it another try... Since the new owners took over the establishment, the food is FANTASTIC!! Tasty, fresh, not deep fried! Big portions! So happy I went back to try the food again! Very pleased I did! Anita is the waitress that waited on me.....She is WONDERFUL! I met the Owners and they are the nicest people!! So happy they took over! A much better place to eat now! Thank you!!

We usually stop at the Greentown Grille after a day of boating on the lake. While the food is never great it's always "ok". The service is usually quick and friendly. It's often too quick in that you end up with appetizers, salads and entrees on the table all at the same time. Last night we stopped in and the food was terrible. Most of it was inedible. For a starter we ordered the Fried Calamari. It was so chewy and had such a strong fishy taste we stopped after one bite. We also ordered a burger which was ok except the fries tasted like they were made six hours earlier and sat under a heat lamp since them. We also ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo which was also terrible. The sauce was a clumpy, gritty mess. It was really bad. We will probably continue dining here because there are so few options in the area.

Another great evening at the Greentown Grill.

I ordered a ham and Swiss sandwich at $12 that came with a bag of chips and an order of waffles and ice cream @$5. ( not kidding ) . Total hit was under $20 at a resort and was delicious. Lizzy behind the counter took my order and helped me decide on dessert. Actually, everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. Four bistro style tables and a 9-seat bar counter are available in the winter but I'm certain the courtyard adjacent would be an excellent addition to the seating area when weather permits. Excellent value and delicious food with awesome help

Parking is easy and convenient, which is always a plus. The atmosphere feels like a neighborhood institution--lots of locals, including many older regulars, gathering over coffee. There's something comforting and authentic about that. The menu offers a good mix of fresh hot and cold sandwiches. Our meatball sub was solid and tasty, though the roast beef sandwich didn't quite hit the mark for us. We also tried the banana bread, which was unfortunately a bit underwhelming. That said, the service was warm and friendly throughout our visit. Overall, I still recommend stopping by. Supporting local businesses matters, and this deli clearly plays an important role in the community. It's a welcoming spot, and with a few tweaks on the food side, it could be truly great.
