We have been to Cora 1850 for many years! We have never had bad service! The food has been good and we always loved the specials!

We were headed back to PA and wanted to see a bunch of people, and only had one day in town. My Uncle recommended we go to Coras. They have a big enough space, good food, and are reasonably priced. We had a gathering here previously, about 10 years ago when my Aunt passed. Its a nice place for large groups! We had the downstairs reserved and they set up 3 tables for the 30 of us. They have a limited menu for groups. 4 options. A turkey sandwich, a cheesesteak, fish and chips, and a salad. Most folks went with the cheesesteak and the fish and chips. I went with the fish and chips, myself. It was delicious! Pretty much a whole filet, and some curly style fries. Really tasty! Non alcoholic drinks were included, and brownie bites for dessert. It was only $20.00 a person! Had a great time visiting with everyone! The staff at Coras was great! They were on top of everything and had drinks out and food out all at the same time. Very coordinated effort which I appreciated! They also didn't rush us. Let us know that we had the room until we were done. Very awesome place and highly recommended!

Cora's Bistro never disappoints. I enjoy how they have a different section of the restaurant for lunch seating and open up another area for dinner. Once again, we were fortunate to have Heaven as our server. She did a magnificent job and hopefully, you'll enjoy her pleasant servitude, soon. We started with vegetarian boneless wings. They came with a spicy/honey sauce and they were very good. You didn't need a knife and they were consumed within seconds. Our mains were, as follows: Northside (Fried eggplant, tomato, provolone cheese, balsamic vinaigrette), Bacon Cheeseburger, and Cheeseburger. The sweet potato, swirly, and waffle fry accompaniments were good, as well. Be it for lunch or dinner, Cora's Bistro will be a smart choice and thank you, Cora's, for being open on a Monday, when 3/4 of Hawley eateries were closed.

Food was good-this place has a nice home like feel. I stopped here for dinner while traveling for work. It felt like I was at someone's home for dinner in the country. The atmosphere was very country cozy. Service was pleasant.

Solid dinner with solid bar food. Our group did a combination of wraps, wings and Gyro salads. We all enjoyed our meals. Service was great and environment was cozy. Definitely would return!

Cute cafe with amazing food, generous portions, excellent service, and very reasonable prices. Having driven by so many times, we decided today was the day to experience, and so glad we did. We started with crab stuffed mushrooms (6), looked so delicious we dug in before I remembered to take a picture. Prime Rib ciabatta sandwich, served with fries for me, the Chicken Cora for my husband. All the dishes were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

This place was busy!! You can just see that the entire town comes here. I was impressed by how quick the food came out. Our server was great and always had a smile on her face even though she has several families to tend to with little ones. Food was piping hot so it didn't sit under the light! I'd come back!

Our family of 15 went to Cora's 1850 Bistro on our last evening of our poconos vacation, it did not disappoint. Large portions, reasonable prices and good service and staff. It's about 15 minutes from Woodloch Resort and is a very good option for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is from 1850 and hasn't changed much, it's a cool and authentic place.

We had docked our boat and ordered food to go. We got the BBQ boneless wings, which were basically chicken nuggets with BBQ sauce. I understand that's essentially what boneless wings are, but it would have been much better if they were at least tossed in the sauce. We also ordered the blackened chicken wrap, but the chicken seemed more like regular grilled chicken than blackened. The Reuben was decent, and the pizza was... well, it's PA pizza what can you expect? Overall, we had a great experience because of the staff and atmosphere. The food was okay, but it could use a little more attention to preparation and consistency.

The server went back and forth several times serving other tables, never checking in to see if we needed drink refills (we had finished the waters and a Diet Pepsi within the first 10 minutes of sitting). When we finally caught the server's attention and explained the problem, it took another 10 minutes for the salmon to come out, with the explanation that it had been misplaced during a grease fire they had in the kitchen (??). There was no offer of compensation, and it took an additional 10 minutes and requests made of another server to get the drinks refilled. I don't have much else to say. The food was ok, but not good enough to justify coming back.
