Anyway, my wife, from Ohio some of her life, mentioned that she has seen the sign for this place over the years and never stopped. So retired now, with no place to be on any specific time, I took the exit. It is a few miles off the interstate, but be patient. It is in a neat little plaza, with a few other holiday themed businesses. The store is pretty big, not "massive" ( as in Walmart Supercenter size) but the biggest just Christmas stuff store I have ever been in. It is chocked full of just about anything you might want. The offerings range from artistic to whimsical to WTH was that artist thinking. I don't really have a frame of reference for the prices on stuff. Some things seemed reasonable, and other things quite a bit out of my comfort zone for decorations/tchotchkes. Of course no one needs any of this stuff but it sure is fun to have a place like this for those things you might want.

But I did check out the hype and the historic part of Santa Claus, Indiana. Besides Holiday World, there are a few must-do places while in town, and the Christmas Store is no exception. This is a very large store as it looks so small on the outside. It is part of a strip-mall, and it has multiple rooms - some of them having a theme. One has several personalized ornaments, another with snowman-themed stuff, one with secular decorations and another with train sets and ornaments. It's a Christmas/holiday lovers heaven, as there is so much to look and buy. Luckily I don't collect any of that stuff but my sister who easily gets in the holiday spirit early would. There's also a fudge/candy/confectionary place inside. There was also a room where kids can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, but it was not in use at the time of my visit. I didn't really buy anything for myself here, but spent a lot on gifts here.

The world's worst idea for customer service…read more We have about 25 Kimball FLIP chairs and during the last year, about a dozen of them have broken. I called Kimball customer service and inquired about what the weight capacity rating is, (because of the breaks, I assumed it was a lightweight and could only hold 150 lbs or so) and they said 273lbs. With that information, I let them know that that I think their chair might have a quality issue. They told me that I had to talk to a dealer and have the dealer tell them about the issue... they absolutely would not take the feedback from me. I told them that our dealer told us that they no longer deal with Kimball.. their reply was that they would connect me to a sales rep at a dealership near me... Wow. If I owned Kimball or was CEO, I'd be horrified if my customer service did not receive and escalate this issue. When I refurnish or open another office, I will highly recommend that we stay away from Kimball because their customer service doesn't care about safety issues in their chair. OUCH! This is about a SAFETY failure. Their chairs break and don't live up to standards and they want the consumer to jump through hoops to tell them about it--- that I would have a customer service rep, refer me to a salesman nearby to tell them of their chair safety issues. Their designs might look good but they aren't up to standards and want you to jump through hoops to tell them about it. HORRIBLE. -5 stars. Sadly, I think I they used to be great furniture builders and now reduced to irresponsible money grabbers.

Pros: Great Quality Made in USA Great customer and technical service We had to move our desks but could not figure out how to take them apart (they are very well made and very heavy). So we called technical support line. We were surprised to get somebody in USA who was able to explain everything. When our call got lost, we called back to get the same person on the first ring. What a concept ... great customer service for great product made in USA. Worker was super nice explaining to us step by step what to unscrew and how to remove parts. He was really patient and took his time to make sure we got the answers we needed. On Christmas Eve our furnace quit working when the temps were in the single digits. We called Ryan at 6:30 in the morning and he patiently talked us thru everything to get it working again. It is primarily an Indian store selling ingredients, spices, and a variety other Indian items. The cooked food here is solely offered on a carry out basis and must be ordered in advance. A few months ago when it opened, I went in out of curiosity and noticed a board behind the counter listing a variety of Indian dishes. I asked and they told me that yes they sell fully cooked homemade Indian meals. My wife is not so keen on ethnic but our three kids and I love it. On occasion my kids and I get a craving for Indian so we were excited. The down side is that you have to order 24 hours in advance and get it at the preset time. Although the preorder thing is inconvenient ( but in the end probably better after all since it guarantee freshness in this area were the market for Indian food may be limited), we took advantage that my wife was out of town this weekend and we finally gave it a try today (We ordered it last Thursday evening for pick up today Saturday lunch). WOW WOW WOW bar none the best Indian Food for sell in the Tristate. We ordered Butter Chicken X 2, Tikka Massala X 1 and Chili Chicken X 1. FYI: it did not come with rice or naan, so we had to make the rice at home (you can order these too but we just forgot to ask what came with the dishes when we ordered Thursday). The portions were very nice and full Indian flavours. It was not spicy in Indian terms. Out of the thre the Butter Chicken was our favorite due to its excellent sauce. The other two dishes were good but no sauce on these so we will stick with butter chicken in the future. Going forward we will no longer go to the Indian Buffett on Burkhart (the food there lately has become very bland). From now, we will just have to plan ahead when our Indian craving pops and order it there.
