I prefer to buy from catalogues that offer free shipping after paying a certain amount. Touch of Class does not offer free shipping. However, the catalog sent me a 20% off coupon which was a better deal so I took a chance and ordered something I'd been admiring. The box they sent my items in was very tall which was surprising because the items I ordered were small; less than 7 inches in height. The individual items were placed in one long piece of styrofoam. While the styrofoam did help the items arrive safely, it was messy and flakey and got all over my floor which I then had to vacuum right away. Another thing about styrofoam is that it is not biodegradable. I wish they used greener shipping materials. I believe sustainability is an important value to today's consumers. The items I ordered did look like the picture. However, the material was not as expected. I decided these wouldn't work for me so I, sadly, had to return them. I called the company to get a return label. It did not come in the box. The quote seemed high so I went to the post office to see if I could get a lower price. The post office price was exactly the same and even though the weight of the items was only a few pounds, the size of the box made it more costly to ship back which I felt could have been avoided due to the size of the individual items not being very large. It would have been a mess for me to take everything out and repackage it due to the styrofoam. I inquired why they did not have discounted labels. They said that my label was discounted. I told them their discounted label was the same price as the post office. They let me know that it was a discounted FedEx label. In my situation, the FedEx price was originally more than the USPS price. There was no option to get a discounted USPS label. Shipping is also taxed with this company so that adds on to an already high shipping cost. Also, it says on their website if you get free shipping and make a return that you then have to pay for shipping again both ways so I'm glad I had the 20% off coupon instead. There are positive things about this company which I must mention. The order did arrive in a timely manner. They were very responsive to my e-mails and calls. They also were very quick to refund my money (minus the expensive shipping costs). I felt they were honest with what their policies were and they were always polite when I called them. When it comes to catalogs online, I value low cost shipping on items and returns especially since I can't see the items in person first. I contacted Touch of Class because I'd like to purchase one of the headboards that are used as model beds in their advertised catalog. The lady who was taking orders put me through to a supervisor. The Supervisor told me that they do not sell these headboards and she literally hung up on me abruptly. I was astonished and flabbergasted that someone at this level of the company would treat a loyal patron with this level of disrespect. Obviously, there is a manufacturing company that manufactures these headboards that they use for their model beds in their catalog. This is not competing with their business because they do not sell these headboards. I would like to buy one of these headboards and then purchase their bedding to go on The headboard and frame. Cheryl F. 1/14/25 I recently ordered a King Bedspread along with 2 King size shams. It definitely does not look like the picture on their web site. We measured the bed and since it is a King size we ordered that size in the bedspread. I am wondering if someone put a California King in our order instead of a King size. It is so long in length that we have to fold the bedspread under at least 3 feet by the pillows. If we pull the bedspread down so it fits over the pillows it is then laying in the floor. The bedspreads on their web site look so beautiful but in real life there are a lot of wrinkles and they don't lay smooth. I am currently on the phone with customer service for the fourth or fifth? time. Each time I speak to them about the return I need to do, they are very nice, and helpful, say they will get right on it and get me the return label, and...the it doesn't show up. I needed drapes that were 120 inches in length, you can't find these just anywhere, when I was about to go custom I found these curtains on Touch of Class on line site, Pinch pleat Chamberlain curtain. The color was exactly what I wanted as was the material. I ordered and received them in just a few days. I was really pleased with the packaging and how quickly the curtains arrived. I also bought the rod and the clip rings and was pleased with them as well. The curtains needed steamed for wrinkles as I knew they would. But wow! I am so happy with how they look. The only thing not positive was I had to send a pair back, not due to anything wrong, I had ordered too many. I ordered the "Twillo The Gripper Slip Resistant Rocking Chair Cushion Set". The measurements listed on the "Touch of Class" website are 17"x18" for the bottom seat cushion and 23.5" for the back cushion. When I received my order, the seat cushion is actually 16"x16" and the back cushion is only 21" high. Consequently, they do not fit my rocker. I either received the wrong order or the website misrepresents their product. The color on the website said blue/grey but the cushions are not blue at all but grey. The bottom seat cushion is also not the same shape as the seat cushion pictured on the website. I immediately tried to call customer service and was put on hold. The recording said there were 17 calls ahead of me and to expect a wait of 38 minutes. The recording also gave me an email if I didn't want to wait. No reputable business sends confirmation emails, then waits 2-3 days to notify the customer of an issue and refuses to rectify the issue with expedited mail. Also prior to this review I never had the YELP app, so this really tells you how negative my experience with this company was when customers go out of their way to download apps they normally never use to write a bad review. My experience with this company was completely unprofessional. They make promises they never keep and give the runaround. Furthermore the quality of the stuff from my experience was TERRIBLE. I ordered a LED canvas for Christmas but when I went to turn it either on or off the canvas didn't work. So I returned it for a replacement which had the same issue. Eventually they agreed to send me a canvas at a discounted rate since it had a small damaged part but failed to send me the pictures of the damage despite numerous phone calls on my behalf. Customer service seemed uninterested to help besides one of their reps who seemed to want to do the right thing, yet nothing came from it. Presently I've been struggling to receive a replacement label for the product and have not been refunded despite how many times I call to rectify the issue. I am very disappointed with quality and service. I ordered the Elegante Comforter set, plus matching Curtains and Swags. Cost was nearly $900. That was a lot to me. The curtains and swags are basically, cotton sheets. Just the curtains & swags were over $500.00 and Not at all what was pictured online. The shipping costs for all this was $100.00 and is not refundable, plus I have to pay shipping to return these VERY poor-quality curtains (sheets actually)!! The comforter set they will not refund at all, they said, because I had the Shams monogramed. They could still refund the Comforter and Bed skirt, even if I had to absorb the cost of shams, but have told me said "No." The experience has been unreal and a hard, expensive lesson. The comforter is supposed to have tufts on the top but within 1 day the stitching is so cheap the tufts are gone and its flat. And without the matching curtains the Comforter Set is a total waste or loss -- since they refuse to refund it. I wish I would have read the reviews before I ordered from Touch of Class. A hard and very expensive experience. I am not exaggerating when I describe the curtains as the equivalent of a bedsheet. When I called customer service, I was told to send pictures of the soap dispensers and tissue holder along with the product code then they would send these to their vendor, then the vendor would determine if they would replace the items and send a return label. I ordered cautiously after reading bad review after bad review. I was so nervous, but my heart was sold on a daybed set and pillows I saw on the website. I first requested swatches of the fabric (on august 26). They emailed me back promptly and I received the swatches in 7 days. I then ordered during their Labor Day sale. My order got to me 5 days after ordering! And it looks just like the photos on the website. My only complaints are that the fabric is a bit scratchy and easily wrinkled. Also, I'm dubious about the set being labeled "dry clean only" when it's only a polyester / cotton blend. The daybed cover doesn't have a cap, which should be specified on the site. I ordered a set of curtains and they came so wrinkled I had to take them to the dry cleaners for pressing it cost me $80.. When I called them to let them know touch of class told me it's too late we would have given you adjustment if you had called us 1st but you called us after so now we won't give you an adjustment. They will charge you for shipping to return a defective item. They didn't refund my shipping when 3 valances were mismatched. I lost $33 on shipping them back! Best to shop elsewhere or it will cost you more in the end. They weren't responsive or very nice on the phone either and didn't answer emails to their customer service mail box. read more
