I normally go to Neergard and had to try here because no other pharmacy carried this eye drop prescription. When I spoke to the pharmacist in store, he told me that my insurance covered this prescription and it would be $57 when it should have been $7. I was baffled and left the store, called my insurance and they confirmed that they saw Greentree's activity on their computer and the prescription was to be $7. The representative went as far as to call the pharmacy dept but the lady who answered said the pharmacist was on another line and would be on for a long time...??? The representative said she sounded strange but that the pharmacist would call her or me back. He never did and I was able to get my prescription filled at Oak pharmacy for the right price. You, the pharmacist should know bad business practice in the Slope will spread very quickly in this community, SHAME ON YOU GUYS! read more

I was in need of a passport photo during the COVID city lockdown, so my father called ahead and ensured they performed this service, we were so grateful. I walked in with the intention of purchasing bath products for my baby and getting a passport photo. I glanced at the children's section on my way in and knew I would be getting a few things. The pessimist in me decided I should ask one more time if they do passport photos before picking up product, the staff took one condescending look at me and sneered "we don't do that now." Sans apology. I'm glad I asked before I picked up product because it would have been even more of a waste of time. My father walked in and pleaded with them and they still refused, I was mortified. I called Walgreens on Flatbush and 7th and they were able to help me with this and I happily ordered bath products online . In short, they handled this situation poorly and I felt bad for my father. It's not our fault that the person answering the phone was wrong, and they could've done something to make it right. The passport photo banner was still up and there was no signage at the door to say they no longer did this service. I left feeling embarrassed and I watched from the street as other customers stared at my father as he left. I was a happy patron of a local pharmacist in LIC, but unfortunately not all local businesses are created equal. Park Slope businesses love to preach shop local but when you do they're entitled, condescending, inconsistent, unreliable and inept. read more

I went this place to buy some facial product. And I confused the price between what they charged me and what I saw on the product. So I asked about the price and I could not get the answer. For me that situation was so suspicious. Why they do not want to confirm the price clearly? So I left store and I left the review on yelp about it. Then I could get the finally answer about the price Through yelp. They said I saw it wrong. Okay.. Let's say that way. But why they could not answer me at the pharmacy? Why did they answer my question very nicely after I wrote down the review? Also, they offered me discount for the product and they wanted me to change my review. Actually before that offering I already changed my review because they said that I saw it wrong. And if they say so, what can I do? But I do not need discount. I just wanted to confirm the price. Although I was devastated when Ansonia Chemists closed, because I loved doing business with people who knew me when I walked in the door, I am growing very fond of Greentree. It doesn't hurt that Frank from Ansonia is there part-time, so I still get to see that friendly face who knows my name. I do find the rest of the staff to be very pleasant and the pharmacists are helpful. Unfortunately, Greentree has lots of pricey goodies to tempt me when I have to wait (it's more upscale than Ansonia was), so I usually walk out with a few impulse buys to add to the bill! read more

Went in today to buy my usual candles , diffusers , hair stuff , organic products for my son etc.. and saw this incredible selection of CBD oils , gummies , vape pens , chocolate , olive oil and much much more . By far the biggest selection I've seen to date . This has helped me so much with my anxiety and overall well being!! Great neighborhood pharmacy with compassionate expertise. I had a tough time with post partum recovery and the pharmacist and other techs had lots of great recommendations, organic and homeopathic. They have ordered things for me when I request them to save us a trip to a big box store. I'm always greeted when I go in even if it's been months! They remember their patients and we pick up our conversation like no time has passed between us. I hadn't been in there for a while. Gave Pavlov (Sp.) my prescription, he remembered me, and passed it to the pharmacist. The pharmacist remembered my name and came out from the back to come speak to me, to see how my pregnancy was advancing, and how much I had to go, the amazing thing I thought was that just by looking at my name he remembered me. His wife always remembers me, always talks to me, encourages me during the pregnancy but I barely see him and he still remembered. The pharmacy was packed and he treated everyone every customer as if they were his only one. I LOVE going to this pharmacy because they get it right ALL the time. My former pharmacy in clinton hill has often screwed things up. I switched over a year ago and have been happy ever since. I never felt that I was charged more as with the consumable type of med that I have its the same price each time. I will be their customer forever. read more

I came to Greentree when Ansonia Chemist closed. I'm so glad I did -- partly because Frank from Ansonia is there. I have so many questions when I start taking a new prescription. Frank and Margaret take the time to answer every question, including the ones I don't know to ask. Greentree also has an excellent selection of CBD products (gummies, pens, oils, creams, loose teas) and the know-how to set you up with something that's right for you. I highly recommend Margaret's CBD tastings where you can sample different products. In short, everything about Greentree beats the hell out of mail order. read more

Greentree Pharmacy is the only thing that makes me feel better about the closing of my--and the neighborhood's--beloved Palma Chemists. No way was I going to switch to Rite Aid or some other big pharma, so to speak. Greentree was super easy to switch to; they asked me to just email photos of my Rx labels, and presto! They have prompt, friendly, and personal service, whether by phone, email, or in person. (I like Neergard too, for the family-owned factor, and Anne Marie Palma is now at the one on 7th, I believe, but I basically use them--mainly the one on 5th--for the 24-hour service and anything but the pharmacy, which is friendly but tends to be muddled.) The only thing I'll note about Greentree is that the handy online Rx renewal service doesn't seem to work...at least not on any of my browsers. In any case, you should definitely give them your business. read more

I've only been to Greentree Pharmacy once, but even after one visit, I can safely say- I will never go to Rite Aid Pharmacy, Duane Reade Pharmacy, or any other big box pharmacy if I can avoid it. Lenny at Greentree is a super nice guy, and all of the staff are very helpful. They have everything in stock and fill prescriptions within a few minutes. They also have a lot of natural and herbal remedies if you're looking to stay green. I can't speak highly enough about this pharmacy, I like supporting "mom and pop" local businesses, and Greentree is one business that I give my stamp of approval on. read more

I visited this shop frequently and always found the staff to be compassionate, knowledgable, and on top of their game. They have a big variety of imported soaps, body lotions, candles and always have a nice sale on top of the shelf brands. They have many hard to find vitamins that normally are not found in pharmacies. With the closing of Back to the land- I feel that Greentree has filled in a gap on where to find vitamins in the Slope. I have lived in the neighborhood for 10 years (not that long by some standards). I have been to every pharmacy, all of which are satisfactory. Greentree, however, stands out as the best due to the friendly staff and vast selection of premium vitamins, health and wellness and beauty products. They always run a few sales on staple items such as vitamins and probiotics, high-end beauty products or simply deodorants and toothpaste. I started using Greentree pharmacy almost two years ago when it was recommended by my PCP. My first encounter there was with the very educated and friendly pharmacists. A husband and wife team who are also the owners. They are both especially warm friendly and efficient. Additionally, the fellow behind the counter, at the cashier, while appearing like the quiet type, is very knowledgeable on the topics of integrative and alternative medicine. He is also very friendly with a great sense of humor. The only 'negative' (and I say this tongue in cheek) is that due to the array of interesting integrative health items, soaps, ointments and candles, I wind up spending more money there than intended. So I still like this pharmacy-- what I do not like is NY state law. And the fact that this place is not a chain!! I recently moved out of this area and instead of being able to transfer my prescriptions entirely I have to have my new pharmacy call to retrieve it every month. If I had just filled at a big chain I wouldn't have this issue to begin with. I know that's going to create problems of me not knowing how many refills I actually have.... Such a pain in the butt. Not their fault (as its NY law) but if I went to a chain I'd be free from this problem. read more

They really are the best at this pharmacy. Their attention to detail in their billing processes, friendliness, and thoughtfulness for their customers are what make me really appreciate them. Filling prescriptions can be such a pain, but at Greentree they have a really fast turnaround. I called and asked how much for a Mason Pearson Perfect Brush (an over the counter item, not a narcotic drug) and the lady who answered the phone responded "We don't give prices over the phone." The owners are very friendly and the store is much more organized than the previous pharmacy that was here. They have a good selection of over the counter vitamins & skin care products and their prescription prices beat CVS and Rite Aid, never mind Duane Reade. My wife came in here on Friday needing to fill a prescription for me for what had turned out to be a difficult-to-find drug. None of the other pharmacies in the neighborhood had it, or were even willing to order it until Monday of the following week. Which meant I wouldn't be able to start on this medication for at least another 5 days. The pharmacists at CVS and Rite Aid were less than helpful. Greentree went above and beyond to procure the medication. It's a strong case for going to a neighborhood pharmacy versus the big name corporate pharmacies in the area. If you ever went to health aid (Pharmacy previously in same location that closed down) then you were probably disappointed when they closed. This place is run by different owners but is equally great. I usually have to go from one pharmacy to another to find what I need but with the opening of greentree, that has no longer been an issue. They not only have had my prescriptions stocked, but they're much quicker than big box pharmacies and much more courteous. I can't even begin to describe the hassles that CVS and Duane have made me deal with, whether it involves demanding direct consultation with my doctor, writing all over my prescription like its the pharmacist's personal doodle pad cough*CVS*cough, or just plain passing along misinformation, I avoided all of that with greentree! If those problems sound familiar, I highly recommend you give them a shot. Only issue I had is that yelp store times are for the store not the pharmacy, so you have to call and make sure they're open and that they're not closing early...can't even deduct one star for that since it's small potatoes compared to the usual mess of laws and policy that make filling prescriptions inconvenient or downright impossible. read more

The people running the place remember my kids, stock high quality children items like sunscreen, medicines, toothbrushes, and just about anything else. They also took the time to sort out my unavailability to sort out my companies prescription plan and got my wife all taken care of. Just returned from yet another wonderful experience at Greentree Pharmacy.. As soon as I stepped into this place for the first time, it brought me straight back to my childhood pharmacy where everyone knew everyone and my mom always let me pick out a treat when I visited. Not only do they have the best brands of whatever type of product (treat) you're looking for, the staff is also insanely knowledgable friendly. They appear to GENUINELY care about their customers and the products they consume/medications they take. I don't compare prices enough in my day to day to speak to it fully, but I can say that prices seem extremely fair AND I would much rather support a place like this than a larger commercial pharmacy. read more
