Toyota) We had a major breakdown on the highway and got towed 61 miles to this place. They diagnosed our Rav4 and found that the problem was a simple hose clamp that needed to be reattached. $5 for parts, no repair charge except for diagnostics. BUYER BEWARE! Go elsewhere...They will gladly take your money for a car that they do not have a title for (which you will find out only after you completed the documentation and paid them). Said title will arrive in 2-3 days when they know it takes 3 weeks to get that delivered and they refuse to give a loaner for the inconvenience they caused. Good morning,  My wife and I have been using Toyota Service Centers for years. My locks stopped working on my vehicle so I took it in to Greentree Toyota. When I took it in I was assisted by Mike. I made the appointment online with all details. I told Mike the doors sometimes do not work and the back hatch always does not work. They ran diagnostics and determined my brakes also need replacing. Mike did not seem to be listening closely but at the end he said no problem. They took the car and fixed the brakes but told me they were going to need to order the parts to fix the doors. They fixed the brakes and the brakes were squeaking very bad even when not braking so I figured I would just bring that up when I bring it back. I brought my car back and it took about a day, but then Mike called saying it is all done. I also asked if the brakes were looked at and he said yes. I got to the dealership after 6PM so it was closed and went to immediately check the back hatch and it was not working. I was told by Toyota that all work is guaranteed for a year so I figured no big deal. A waste of my time but we will get it fixed. I called and Mike said it was fine to drop it back off. When I got there Mike seemed to be avoiding me and they made me meet with another service rep. They took my car in and all seemed fine, but then I received a call that it is going to cost me another $680 to fix the latch. I was quoted $1800 for the job and already paid it, but Mike claimed to not understand that was the issue despite it being in the notes of my appointment and communicated directly by me. He said it was working when the guys were working on it. That is entirely untrue, the latch door has not worked for at least 3 months and I checked it when I dropped it off and when I picked it up. The only lock I really cared about was the latch lock. I have two young special needs children that I need to take food shopping with me a lot of the time and I have no where to store anything. So this is the last time I am going to use Toyota for service unless I am fully refunded for the incomplete job. Very unreliable dealership. After speaking on the phone a rep said they had the car I wanted in the lot. All I had to do was put a holding deposit and then come in within a few days and finish up the rest. I gave my CC information;. the rep said they had to double check a few things with the boss but took down all the necessary info. Later that evening I got a phone call and was told that unfortunately I wouldn't be able to get the car because the previous rep didn't realize that the car was already reserved for another buyer. I purchased my first Toyota from them and had the car serviced there consistently for the 13 years I had owned it. Went back because it was time to purchase a new car and we wanted to trade in our old Toyota. We had it looked at by service because there had been some recent problems. We were honest about the car and the used car manager offered us $500. The salesperson advised me of this and I asked for $1000 and we would have a deal. One week later I still have not heard back from the dealership. In that time I have sold my car on Vroom for $5700 disclosing everything that was on the most recent service record. I have also purchased a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited that is much nicer than the car I was planning to get at Toyota. We were loyal to them but in the end they were not loyal to us. Both the salesman Raymond Jimenez and the Business Manager Jose Cordero Jr. lied to my face and didn't make a repair to the AC in the car I purchased. Car was purchased in October and this wasn't discovered until May when the AC was used for the first time. The owner Harold Tananbaum did get involved but hid behind the AS IS baloney. Two employees out and out lied to us and he did nothing on our behalf. I will never do business with this dealership again! As someone who goes to Yelp for almost all my reviews-I have to say when I went to get my 2018 Lease Toyota Camry service maintenance @Greentree Toyota-I was very leery because of the past reviews. I just moved to the area and the alternative was going back to the dealership I purchased my car from (Hudson Toyota-5+ stars) in NJ. So taking a leap of faith I took my car and was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! The service was very good. From the moment I drove in, the technician who took the car's stats to my service person (Reed) were amazing. I felt I was the only customer from the care and attention I received. I received a call once my car was ready and a follow up call that one of the services offered at 10k was not done and if I could bring back car I would be in/out in 15minutes. So I did and I was out in 10 minutes even though the place was packed. Reed called me back to make sure the car was running well and to ensure my satisfaction. The finance department is less than desirable but the salesmen and saleswomen are great. If I didn't love my new car so much I would've walked away from the entire deal after the finance guy changed around loan paperwork without my permission, then belittled me for not choosing to finance with a third party lender instead of Toyota. The audacity of calling my insurance agent and bullying her into changing my previously agreed upon binder should be grounds for a 1 Star Yelp review, but as I said, it's not fair that one poor employee ruin it for the hard working sales people. I WILL NEVER BUY A TOYOTA AGAIN. Bought a new vehicle and extended warranty from Green tree Toyota. I was experiencing problems when I first got the vehicle. we took the vehicle in for service and was told it was the brakes. Still had the same problems so I took it in for service again and was told nothing was wrong with it. I drove home and looked under the vehicle and saw it was leaking fluid from the differential. Had them replace the seal which took them a week and when I got it back the it was worse then when I dropped it off. Had to bring it to another dealership who had then had to replace the transmission under warranty. Was told by Green tree that the vehicle was safe to drive which ultimately caused damage to the whole drive train. And could have cost me my safety. read more

They sell out quickly, and some dealers pushed us to get a model or color we didn't want. John at Greentree was able to find us exactly what we wanted very quickly at the price we negotiated. This is NOT at all a fancy dealership with plush surroundings, but that wasn't our priority. We were very happy with a new Camry we leased from them three years back and have just returned, and we got a good deal and good treatment from them from start to finish. The lease price they quoted was significantly lower than what was offered in other dealerships for comparable non-Toyota cars as well as a quote in another Toyota dealership for the same car. They gave us a further break in price on learning we were Costco members that sealed our deal. Before that the salesman was very helpful in our test drive and in explaining the car features. As importantly, on conclusion of the lease when we decided not to buy another Toyota from them, they still treated us very well. Our Camry had sustained a few scratches scraping against garage doors, etc., that I tried fixing on my own with limited success. I decided against the offered free "pre-inspection" by a third party inspector before returning the car. Two imperfectly repaired areas of significant size were noticed by their service representative at return time. He took pictures and said the damage may be assessed by a third party to calculate the "excess wear and tear" for which we could be charged extra. We braced for a substantial "parting kick" of extra repair costs. But lo and behold, they decided not to bill for this and we paid only the standard and pre-specified disposition fee as per initial agreement. Lastly, we also had good experience, pricing and no push for unnecessary repairs at their (sister) service facility under the same ownership. I'm reviewing that separately. read more

So fast that I ended up signing something for a lot more than what I'd agreed upon with salesman Mike Shakro. Jose doesn't have the cojones to return calls or meet with me when I go there to complain...one of his flunkies finally let me know that there's "nothing they can do," so not only am I done with Greentree, I'm done with Toyota entirely. Our salesman was impersonable and left to take someone for a test drive while we were waiting for papers. On top of that my husband was sitting in their so called waiting area (which consists of 4 chairs) for numbers to come back when the sales guy was too busy eating his lunch in the middle of the meeting to get the numbers. What really ticked me off is that they scam you at the end. They make you think you're getting this great monthly price but hit you at the end with buyers protection. Even though you can opt out of it, it would be stupid to do so but now takes your great monthly price and pushes you to your limit. We didn't know this until the were signing the final papers. Our sales person Roberto (Bob-b) Ledesma was very friendly and took his time to make sure we saw all options available. We walked out of their after approx. 2 hours after we arrive as new owners of a 2018 Toyota Highlander Platinum. Bob-b took his time and explained all of the features our new vehicle had to offer. Rating should be 0 stars Stay far away from Greentree Toyota. The repair shop is runned by Mark Tigner, who I have come to find out is a relentless liar. I can't print the full story here but I will get it out somehow. You would not believe how far he has gone with his lies. I had my 09 Prius towed to Greentree to be diagnosed after shutting off on the highway. They initially thought it was the hybrid battery. After replacing it under warrantee, they discovered the engine was seized. When my service advisor Reed Chatting called to tell me it needed an engine, I told him I would not put a engine in a car with 150k miles, I would trade the car in. He told me it would be a shame since the car was in such great shape and I would probably get nothing for it. He convinced me by telling me that I just got a new hybrid battery from toyota, and with a new engine the car would be good for at least 300k. He also told me that I had some damage under the car and implied the insurance might cover the engine. I decided to go for the engine because he told me I was getting a new engine. They installed a USED ENGINE, not even a remanufactured engine but a JUNKYARD engine with 80k miles on it. When I picked up the car on Nov 8, 2018, I even asked Reed Chatting, and my exact words to him were "it's a new engine right" and his response was "it should be". I unfortunately did not read through my service receipts until 10 minutes after I left. After I paid and went to the car the hood looked like it was left open. When I started the car, it was loud. I immediately went in and told Reed that my car didn't look or sound right.( Ironically, when I first went in Reed excitedly told me the car was all done and sounded great). Reed had a mechanic drive the car with me and he said the loud noise was probably because the engine was cold. Reed convinced me to take the car. I drove a few miles to Cotsco, while waiting on gas line, I read through my receipts and learned that they installed a used engine. I immediately went back and Reed acted shocked when I said you guys installed a used engine. If this wasn't bad enough, Mark Tigner comes out with his words of wisdom, that they wouldn't put a $8000 engine in 09 car with 150k. I told them I wouldn't either, and I certainly wouldn't put a used engine for $4800 either. It doesn't end here. What they have said about the damage to my hood is beyond belief. They claimed my hood came in damaged and that they had video footage of it. My hood was not damage and I will be proving it in court. I went in 3 different times to view the video, then they finally told me they didn't have a video. Of course they didn't, because my hood was not damaged. They have since exaggerated the damage under the car to justify the hood not closing properly and why my a.c. is not as cold as it was. They even told Toyota National that I admitted to hitting a tree and that is why my hood is damage. And the noisy engine, it was the exhaust, they reused the donut gasket when they reinstalled the exhaust. After both he and Reed lied to my face, Mark Tigner thought I would be thrilled at his offer to extend the warrantee to 3 years with free oilchanges, and tire rotation. What good is such an offer thats coming from such an unscrupulous liar, no thanks. I want my $4800 back, I did not authorize a used engine, and they owe me for the damage to my hood too. If you are thinking of a new car, I would reconsider the dealership. After Mark Tigner did not respond to my certified letter in Dec, I made many efforts to reach the owners, Tananbaums. I thought that they should be made aware of what took place. When I did get in touch with them, I thought they would want to know what took place and get to the bottom of how this could've happened. Mr. Tananbaum was not interested in the facts and he took a very defensive position. My husband and I were going to purchase a Sienna and highlander this past December. We held off waiting to see how the owners would handle this situation. We are moving 5 minuted from the dealership and it wouldve been convenient., but not after this incident. We recently puchased a subaru and will be purchasing a Honda odyssey again. Nothing against Toyota. I would never set out to harm a business, especially knowing that there are good honest service advisors that I have dealt with over the years. But after seeing at what lengths Mark Tigner has gone, this must be brought out to the public. Any negative consequences will be on his and the owners shoulders. If any of you have had a similar experience with Greentree, please let people know about it. Let's do what we can so no one else will ever need to go through this. read more

Best thing I can say is they are polite. Last service visit - they said I needed a "large interval" service and to call ahead and get a loaner car next time. So this time, I go in, and all they have me down for is a "regular oil change" - no loaner car. I had planned my work day around dropping off my car for service and getting to a meeting. No loaner. Plans now are moot. No - you can not drop me off somewhere. No - I will not wait. I took my car back, and will go to a "quick lube" place this afternoon if I can fit it in. I have purchased 2 cars at Greentree - no more. I had done service there on cars - no more. They have lost a customer permanently because the person on the phone said that I had a loaner, and the service advisor said no I didn't and no one bothered to tell me this in advance. Gave them $1000 deposit to get the truck from another dealer. 5 days later sales guy called me telling me he could not get that truck but found one more expensive he could get. Told him no thank you. They never refunded my $1000 to my credit card. Called and spoke with manger named Rodert. Was told they are not refunding my money because I told them I wanted that truck. Lie lie lie. Sorry for the long post: My husband and I stopped in 2 weeks ago to look at a 2015 Toyota corolla. We met with Lisa, who was very friendly, and decided that we really liked the base L model. Lisa, like every other dealership associate, kept nudging us to place a "hold" on the vehicle before leaving so that it wouldn't be sold to someone else in the meantime. We relented and placed the $500 holding fee down on the car, which Lisa assured us was fully refundable if we chose not to move forward with the purchase. After moving forward with the preliminary paperwork for the car, another dealership that I had recently visited called and offered to match Greentree's price on the next model up, which was too great of a deal to miss. When I called Greentree to cancel the deal, they were not so friendly anymore. Doug, the finance manager, actually begged me to stay with them, repeatedly telling me that the other dealership was lying to me and that I was making a mistake. He even demanded "proof" of the deal I was offered by the other dealership, which I denied to provide because it was honestly none of his business. When I asked Doug, Lisa, and Sue for the $500 holding fee refund, they all said that it was no problem. After 3 business days, it was still not refunded, so I called again. No one got back to me. After 5 business days, I called and spoke with the general manager who claimed to have no knowledge of the matter, but he took my credit card number to refund the money. The next day(today), after numerous phone calls to follow up, the general manager emailed and stated that they would not be providing a refund. Even the other Toyota dealership that I purchased the be the new Corolla from stated that the initial "holding fee" of $500 is a standard dealership practice, but that it is fully refundable or can be applied towards the purchase price. We are doing whatever we have to do now to fight this dishonest dealership and their shady business practices. Consumers are not targets. read more

This year, they expected me to have kept a receipt for an entire year in order to honor the warranty on a brand new battery. I know for a fact that this is information that they can look up. The worst service I ever experienced. The staff was very unprofessional. We decided on a car and told the sales rep that we were going to get something to eat and then go back to close the deal. We went back and our rep asked us to wait. After 30 minutes of waiting we asked what was going on. We found out that after our rep told us to wait, he sold the car we agreed to purchase to someone else. He knew we were waiting to purchase that car and didn't give us the courtesy to let us know that someone else was interested in the car. That was very rude and unprofessional. The worse service I have ever experienced. The vehicle was brought in for a window malfunction. The initial diagnosis was a broken motor. They replaced the motor and it was still not working. Then they said it was the switch. We told them that we wanted the old motor back as it was not defective and they had already salvaged it! Then when we picked up the vehicle, they're was a for long Crack on the windshield. The dealership is supposed to be more reliable, but they took no responsibility on it. We asked for the check in log that indicates that the vehicle came in with the Crack and they were not able to produce it! They wouldn't let me speak to the manager.
