Purchased 10 creeping thyme, they arriving in great condition. Full thick plants is good health & condition. Better than any other plants I've purchased by mail. Wow! Just Wow! I tried to place an order for 20 phlox, over $200. The website states bulk pricing for larger number orders. The business sent me a coupon for 20% off. I went to check out and it would not take the coupon. The website had a statement for calling if your coupon didn't work. I called. The poor woman answering had no idea what she was doing. There were so many excuses, they had a new website , she said you don't get the discount until you pay. She said bulk pricing was a discount. She Sid they don't have bulk pricing. And finally suggested I call back tomorrow and talk to Ann. I stated I would have purchased them from somewhere by then as they are part of a larger landscaping project. She hung up on me. But wait! I called back and asked for a manager. Mr Jones came on and told me that he was the owner. I explained the situation. He repeated all the excuses. He also added the other woman would never have hung up. She did. He said he'd been in business for 48 years and would still be in business if he didn't know what he was doing. He told me he didn't need to spend time on this and that he doesn't talk to customers! lol. Probably a good decision on his part. He obviously had no idea how to make it work and could not simply take a phone order. The conversation ended when he cursed t me and hung up. AVOID Greenwood Nursery where taking orders is too difficult and the customer service in non existent. read more

My original order with this company did not work out and the plants were received in poor condition. They contacted me and corrected the issue. The plants arrived in great condition and are doing well. I would order more from Greenwood Nursery. read more

Although my original order of raspberry plants did not arrive in good condition, the issue was quickly rectified once I contacted the company and let them know. Customer service was outstanding and a replacement order arrived soon after. The replacements were packed well and arrived in excellent shape. Please do not spend your money at this nursery. I spent a small fortune last year, paid for the plants and got many of them, had my helper ready the area and compost it and then planted a couple of hundred bare root plants. I thought they were growing but all they were was weeds. I wrote to ask for help from the Nursery but wasn't even given a return letter and any advice or suggestions let alone an apology or any kind of a refund. I will NEVER use them again and I suggest you don't either. (This was quite expensive to get the plants and to have the gardener do the work -- and get nothing out of it. Shame on Greenwood Nursery!) Plants arrived packaged nicely, but three were laid down in the box and 2 of those three are broken. The bigger issue is, you are led to believe you are purchasing "plants", when in fact, you are purchasing seedlings. The plants are so small, I can't even put these in the ground for another month. I will be making a makeshift greenhouse to get them to grow a little more before planting them. These plants are hardly worth the money I paid for them. Anyone can stick a seed in some dirt and sell it for 12.95 when it sprouts. You expect a nursery to send you a plant, not a seedling. Their return policy claims, "restocking fees, return shipping and the shipping paid to receive the package cannot be returned because "the shipper has already been paid.". Add it up, its not worth returning so you wind up feeling, ripped off. I wont be ordering from this nursery again. Please look at the pictures, the prices I paid are on each picture! In early November, 2021 I ordered Ozark Beauty Strawberries, 25 bare root plants. They say they will ship when its the right time to plant. They didn't ship until after the first week of December. We are in Maryland so winters can get pretty cold, it felt like is was late to plant strawberries. The root stock looked pretty weak, with most plants being undersized and with little foliage. I planted according to the instructions. When Spring rolled around, all the plants had died, not one survivor. Didn't bother calling customer service based on the horrible reviews. I ordered strawberries on May 11 and didn't hear anything about a ship date in the allotted 2-3 business days. I called on May 20th and was told my order would ship the week of May 25th. I called again on June 1 and was told my order would ship the week of June 8th. Because it is now too late in the season I canceled my order. I can not recoup the money I spent on the strawberry bed though. read more

I ordered eight kwanza trees and they arrived in good condition at the correct planting time for my geographical area. All trees except one did very well even through a Japan beetle infestation. The one tree which died was replaced by Greenwood nursery and it arrived at the proper time In the Fall. I am looking forward to this coming Spring and plan to order a few more trees during the next few weeks. Friendly, professional service and obviously Im a happy customer. Two side notes; Japanese beetles love Cherri and Kwanza trees and the deer helped me do some trimmin, hopefully they won't be terribly offended because of the fencing I installed around each tree. read more

Don't bother to order from here, go to any other Nursery online. Worst customer service I have ever received. Tried to get plants for someone who had Stage IV Cancer. Told them how important it was, and it changed nothing. From Jan. to April these people promised over and over, giving a different date while still advertising that they had the plants. He only wanted the final two plants to complete his garden. Finally I had enough of being a fool believing they would ever be sent (Every time they told me it would be sent or told me to wait or call) and told them to kick rocks. I would try Fast Growing Trees.com. I ordered from them and what a completely different experience. Great customer service, even replaced 2 plants for free that became diseased three months later. Don't waste your time with Greenwood Nursery, your Newborn will be grown and you still might not have your plants. My Stage IV Cancer patient waited too long. It was very sad. read more

Ordered 5 American Pillar Arborvitae from them and they arrived with the roots in a plastic bag with no moss or material to keep them moist. Two of the plants died. Contacted the company with numerous emails to two accounts and two phone calls with messages to be placed on Adams desk. Received no response. Avoid this company. read more

I made an order online and had to inquire about it because after 17 business days it did not arrive. It still has not arrived as I am writing this, I was promised it would arrive today. The "usual" shipping time to where I live I was told is 5 business days. What I am most upset about is that ALL of my e-mails went unanswered except for the last informing me of the promised delivery which has not arrived. With the e-mails now has followed phone calls and this has proven to create no kind of satisfaction as if it were myself (I also run a business) I would be bending over backwards and making compensations) I would be ensuring satisfaction to the customer to the grave manner in which the transaction had been handled. This is an email that I sent and 2 business days later I still have NO response. Will never order from again: I received my plants today and I was so excited to put them in my beds. However, much to my dismay the condition of the plants was appalling. Here is what I found: Box in excellent condition, top 6" filled with shredded paper. This is where the care of packaging stopped. There was nothing at the bottom of the box to cushion the plants and nothing in between the plants. The plants were thrown in the bottom of the box, on their side, on top of each other. EVERY single one of the plant containers was crushed. This prevented being able to extract (what was left of) the plants from their container with the entire root ball/dirt intact. 90% of the plants were broken and bent. One of the plants had only 1 leaf and another had no leaves, only a stick. I have no idea if these plants will survive & I had no idea which was the "good side" as there was no good side. To charge 9.95 each and have them arrive in this horrible condition is, at the very least, not the way to give a good first impression. If a nursery had plants in these conditions they wouldn't be able to sell them for more than $1-2. I have a gardening board on Pinterest as well as many friends that I garden with. We share our experiences, good and bad, and are always looking for new resources for plants and supplies. The fact that once you charged my credit card meant that the plants were my property and I expected them to be taken care of. All other nurseries that I have ordered from took care in making sure their plants arrived in pristine condition - full, blooming, and properly packaged/protected (and I paid no more for them than from your nursery). Right now, these plants look like carefully placed weeds in my bed; they certainly don't resemble anything that anybody would purposely plant. Please let me know what compensation that I can expect to receive. I can send a multitude of pictures for your reference if necessary. I look forward to hearing from you. read more
