I drove up to the gate to input my key code and it said "access denied." Thinking maybe my key code was incorrectly dialed in. I tried again and the same thing happened. Ok then, let me go into the office and see what's up. I gave the peoples my name to look up my account, and I forgot the exact date I started with them. Today's the 30th, they told me I was ONE DAY LATE from paying my bill, so they mentioned they put a padlock on my storage unit. Then up to this point, everything is all good. This is the dialogue. "Ma'am, I'm going to close out my account today. I don't think there's anything in the unit but wanted to double check and recover my lock." "Sir, well since you are a day late, we locked up your storage unit. We can PRORATE you a price for a day, so you can grab your items." I'm thinking to myself, are you serious, 'PRORATE You a Price.' They also Had to mentioned that if I left any items in the unit they will charge for cleaning it out. Shaking my head at all this nonsense, for one day. So it's totally my fault not coming beforehand and I get that, but the principle of the One Day is driving me crazy. Just be aware, also the Prorated Price was $5 for one day. I recovered my lock and in the unit was only a folded up moving box. If they wanted $5 they could of just asked me for it instead of this nonsense. Lesson of today, "Don't be ONE Day Late or You'll pay A Prorated Fee.' Guaranteed!!!

Throughout that entire process, I was in contact to have A Movers take my belongings from the storage unit to my townhome. Due to the other companies negligence, I had to reschedule A Movers THREE times. I was mortified to notify David each time, but he was SO UNDERSTANDING and patient. He even personally came to the storage unit to meet me before his team loaded up their truck. Because he was so flexible with my situation, my moving experience did a complete 180. I am so thankful for David and A Movers for being so reassuring and positive!

The movers were supposed to show up between 9-9:30am, but when we didn't see them by 10 we called the main office. By 10:30am we were able to get in touch with our mover who said he'd be another 2-3 hours. When we hadn't heard from them by 2 we called several times and left voicemails, but received no response. By 3 the mover's phone was going straight to voicemail (we suspect he turned his phone off) and there was no one at the main office to assist us. At 4 we decided to cut our losses and hire Hercules Moving, which saved the day. We never heard back from the original mover or received an apology. Terrible customer service and complete lack of professionalism.

Up until moving day, everyone that I came into contact with was respectful and quick about returning calls. We moved from Chesapeake VA to Onslow County NC last Friday, August 29th. We wanted to save as much in a move as possible so we bought over 100 totes & packed mostly everything ourselves so basically, all we needed moved was our furniture and little things left over that we needed up until day of move. The moving crew showed up between 9-10am reeking of Marijuana. Did I see them smoke it? No, I did not but they all smelled like it so, regardless of who was actually smoking, they were all in the same cab together. Not only did they show up smelling like dope, each time they came back from a break, there was a fresh Marijuana stink. Now, what others do on their time off is their business, but when they've been entrusted to move my things, I would expect them to be sober and unencumbered by the stench of dope. I mean, these folks drove a large moving truck high on grass. Isn't this an OSHA violation? We are not yet unpacked but most of my lamp shades are damaged-bent out of shape, filthy with dirty hand prints and one of them has a gouge all the way through the shade. Some of the frames on my artwork (not fancy stuff but still) have been scratched to the point there is no way to fix them. My shoe closet has a long scratch across the top. Now, I will say, our furniture appears to be undamaged but I also haven't finished unpacking. I would hazard a guess that the damages are less than $1000 & I'll just replace the lamp shades & live with the other damages because they were able to deliver our goods the next day so, that was a plus. Our things smelled like Marijuana when they were delivered but it dissipated as the day went on. I didn't take possession on delivery date, my husband did, because I just couldn't deal with another day of dope stench. I'm waiting on our rep to call me back as they need to know of these safety issues. 2 stars because most of our furniture wasn't damaged and we did get next day delivery but seeing the damage we do have on fragile items, I'm glad we packed (and moved) all of our breakable & expensive items ourselves. These guys wrapped and secured everything with a level of care you just don't see anymore. Honestly, I wish I had taken pictures -- the way they packed and protected each piece was incredible. You could've turned the trailer upside down and nothing would've shifted. That's how solid their work was. We had to take some very narrow, rough back roads to get to my place -- ruts, tight shoulders, barely enough room for a car and a trailer side-by-side. I was nervous at first, but the driver handled it like a true professional. Not once did I feel like my belongings were at risk. Everything arrived in perfect condition, not a scratch, not a scuff, nothing loose. They worked hard, stayed polite the whole time, and treated my move like it actually mattered. Absolutely five stars. I'll be using them again, and I'd recommend them to anyone who wants their belongings handled with real care.

I got here at 6:20pm on a Tuesday and they close at 6:30. I always pay attention to the staff's attitude especially towards the end of the day and the young lady at the front desk was so kind and compassionate even as more people came in at 6:29pm. Kudos to the staff. Though I didn't have to interact with her because the have an Amazon self service station (which is awesome!) I typically bring my packages in boxes not taped to allow for content verification. While visiting this location I was informed that I would be charged $1.50 for them to tape the box. The associate refused to accept my return unless I agreed to this additional fee. This is the first time I have encountered such a charge while making a return, and I found the interaction unprofessional. Due to this experience, I do not plan to use this location in the future.
