The…read morebuilding is lovely, and this particular event was catered by Kaspar's, who clearly have a lot of experience here. It was a very nice combination. Our biggest uncertainty beforehand was how much, if any, parking was available. It turns out that they have access to a garage behind the mansion, and there was a person welcoming us at the entry to the garage, giving us instructions on getting to the pedestrian entrance and a sheet of paper with the code for the lock. The exit door could have been better labelled, but that was the only glitch. The venue itself is lovely, looking very much like I imagine it did when it was built in the early 20th century. The caterers were amazingly efficient, both in serving drinks and hot appetizers on the veranda, and in reconfiguring the main room from the ceremony to a sit-down dinner while drinks were being served. This was a great location, enhanced by caterers who clearly knew what they were doing.

The only downside side is the location where the scenery is industrial histories and not as great except on the rooftop. Great cheap parking for the event nearby.

One of the most important things for us was finding a venue "that had a space for everyone" and that's EXACTLY what the Foundry provides. You wanna dance? It's an AWESOME dance floor. Need a breather? Check out the courtyard or the rooftop. Want to be involved but just watch? There are various side-rooms and balconies to check out the action. Of course, another huge pro is that catering is provided in-house, so it made that part of the process so much easier. We also used their list of recommended vendors, all of whom are familiar with the space, and it made set-up on the day of the event an absolute breeze. We do need to respectfully acknowledge that communication with the venue was... a little suspect at times. They experienced a lot of turnover over the past year (as well as some pricing changes), and while we were ultimately very happy with our experience, we hope they can get back to some consistency so that all couples and events get a smooth experience! (A special shoutout to Brittany who stepped in for our last month and really brought things home for us, thanks friend!!) Overall, we are so glad that we picked the Foundry and we hope you consider them for your event!!

It fit comfortably about 11 round tables of 10 people with a nice size dance floor. Buffet was a Mediterranean feel, offering Vegetable Napolean, Baked chicken with mushrooms, salad, a Salmon dish, and a couple of other flavorful dishes. They had an open bar, which is nicely placed near the entrances to the venue. Bathrooms are nearby, well lit, and clean. The view was breath taking from the 8th floor. You can see the city and when the sun sets you have a gorgeous backdrop. The night view of city lights is just as beautiful! My only bummer was the parking. We found it difficult to find the entrance to the parking and the one entrance we did find, the security guard told us to go around. Not being specific about to where. So we street parked. Which in our favor was okay, it was free! Street lighting isn't very bright, but we managed.

Our group rented the Panoramic Room, a conference room; the first floor training room and used their catering service. They have conference rooms available. There is a catering kitchen. The staff is great and they have a security guard inside the main entrance. The catering company, FareStart, is a great program and their servers were very professional and efficient. There is a good amount of parking available for $5 per day. The North parking lot has a view too. The building was home to Amazon in its early days, so the tech, mechanical, seismic and security are current. Now it houses many non-profits and the event space rates for non-profits are half the commercial rates. Seattle traffic is fierce, but this spot is relatively easy to get to by surface streets. It can be and is used for weddings with up to about 300 occupancy standing ranging on down for seated arrangements - occupancy is on their website

The ballroom also comes equipped with a kitchen for use during rentals. Chairs, rectangular/banquet and round tables are available for set up. A projector can be accessed and hooked up to a laptop for presentations, movies, videos, etc. It's quite an unassuming space from the outside, but definitely worth a look if you're on the search for a reasonably priced venue for a gathering of 100+ in the Greenwood neighborhood.

This lodge building is one of the many local gems still operating in the same neighborhood since…read more1923 and in the same building since 1924. Many other local lodges also use this building for their meetings. The building is available to rent for weddings, receptions, classes, and other community activities. Rental spaces include a 1500 ft sq. dining area complete with a commercial kitchen. Upstairs the lodge's 2000 ft. sq. meeting room is also available for use. The decor is staid, but very user friendly. It's also handicapped accessable. One of the many lodges that meets here is St. Johns' #9 which has been working in Seattle since 1860. You'll find they're often in the background of such events as the Freemont fair, Seattle Youth symphony, Dr. Maynard's grave restoration, elementary school reading programs and a small project long ago... the location of the University of Washington here in Seattle. (The four columns by the HUB were carved by one of the brothers around 1869 - a guy named Denny.) Probably the most enjoyable and entertaining lodge that meets at Greenwood is Daylight Lodge 232. A lodge formed for entertainers and others who worked nights. They've been meeting in Seattle since 1920 and are still centered around the arts community. This venue is exceptional for so many reasons: not only is it a non-profit venue, but they light over 100 candles for your event and provide so many things that you would typically need to rent at other venues (chairs, tables, glassware, etc.). Also there are so many things for your guests to do in downtown Ballard if your wedding is mainly out-of-town guests like ours was. Nate and the team were so kind and thoughtful throughout the entire process. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to spend our special day at Cathedral Ballard - it was truly so special!!! :)

There is a ground level and an upstairs. Upon coming in staff greeted us and informed us of the going-Ons upstairs. There were 3 bartenders all of whom were very nice. Lots of seating and small music and dancing area. The food was self-serve, buffet style, catered La Cabana. The salsa and guac were good and was nicely laid out. Cathedral donates much of the earnings made from the use of the space and are also known for their candles which I've received as a gift and can say are nicely scented and benefit causes. So, if you see one in a local shop or otherwise it makes a good gift. Not sure they sell them at this actual location of Cathedral though. If you 're looking to host an event or know someone who wants to, Cathedral has a decent space to be rented out with nice staff who will help manage it.

We had the chance to photograph a summer wedding there, and I was absolutely blown away by the space, the staff, and the overall experience. The couple we worked with had gotten engaged in Paris and wanted their wedding to reflect that romantic, European flair. The Ruins, with its opulent, maximalist style and stunning hand-painted ballroom, was the perfect fit. Every room felt like stepping into a different storybook, and the attention to detail in the decor made for the most magical, photo-ready moments. Their guests were wow'd at every turn--it was truly an experience, not just an event. From a vendor perspective, the staff couldn't have been better. Friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. The on-site coordinator, Ruby, is a total gem! Even when a few minor hiccups popped up (as they always do), she handled everything with grace and efficiency, keeping the day running smoothly and stress-free for everyone involved. I recently was here for the Seattle Works SWANK Gala and it was amazing! Lots of room for the silent auction and the main room for the dinner and live auction was fantastic. They even had a Twitter wall which was super cool.

They're the cream of the crop when it comes to events in Seattle. They do big-budget, high quality, over the top, awesome events. They do smaller events too but this is your go-to space if you want a customized party for over 1000 people. There's a stage, there's state of the art lighting, white walls with projectors to project movies, images, etc. They even have different sets and packages so you can do soft seating, tables, classrooms, or whatever you could dream up. I've come for large scale cocktail parties, I've come for networking events, and I've come for themed holiday bashes and dance parties. They can truly do it all. The staff appears to be well organized and there's always, always staff easy to find for load-in or questions of any kind. Whenever I see an event promoted and spot that it's being hosted at Fremont Studios, I know it's going to be good.
