Reception on the Great Lawn / planning, design and florals by juliet + lou

As a wedding planner and designer, my team and I have done two weddings at Dunn Gardens gardens and absolutely love this venue! The gardens are private, rich with history, expansive, and obviously beautiful. Their venue coordinator, Caroline, is knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. We hope to be back soon.

I attended a fund raising concert here last summer. Who knew this hidden gem existed? Most people I've asked never heard about it.it's unbelievable how this beautiful garden is hidden in the residential neighbor. Looking forward to visiting the gardens during a different season to see it in a different light and with a variety of different foliage. Would like to go on the tour one day or go to the Alice Wonder Event they have annually.

Few things are cooler than finding a 'hidden treasure' and that's how I feel about touring Dunn Gardens. Frederick Law Olmsted is my favorite historical figure and he helped design this space, the his private designed garden currently open to the public. Tours are infrequent and fill up - my family went on the last day I was in town visiting and the staff at Dunn was kind enough to add an extra your guide for the day. It's $10th pp for a 1.5 hour tour. The tour is a mix of history of the space, the Dunn family and some tree/plant facts. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable but was happy to admit when he forgot or just didn't know a species, at which points other your participant happily chimed in. The space is huge (100th acres!) and beautiful (see my photos!). I'm not sure how the space changes in the winter but with mostly Northwestern plants it's probably still a sight. Make sure to be on the lookout for an open entryway between two houses. There is no sign advertising the Gardens so if you don't know what to look for you'll miss this lovely place!

We were completely blown away by what we saw when we arrived at our appointed time to visit. The Spheres comprises a trio on connected glass domes, located in the center of Amazon-occupied office towers in Downtown Seattle. The Spheres opened in 2018 by Jeff Bezos for his employees. They are only open to the public for free on two Saturdays of each month. The structure was designed by American architecture firm NBBJ. They serve as an employee lounge and workspace. The Spheres are a fully functioning, self-contained ecosystem - a greenhouse with more than 40,000 different varieties of plants from all over the world. It is built on a concrete foundation, using 620 tons of steel. The structures are connected in an open-plan indoor area filled with numerous exotic plants. The most striking feature inside the Amazon Spheres is a 4,000 square foot Canyon Living Wall. It stands 62 feet tall and 50 feet wide. A path winds up four stories across a suspension bridge to a Bird's Nest meeting area. During the day the temperature inside is in the mid 70's with 60% humidity. At night, it drops to 55 degrees with 85% humidity. The highest of the three Amazon Spheres is 90-meters tall. The catalans at the Amazon Spheres contain an incredible 2,643 panels of glass, making the whole structure visible from the outside thus, creating a clear view on the inside. There's also a cafe with treats and coffee. They also offer free tours. We found The Spheres to be a serene and comforting place to visit. The place was amazing!

The collection of the plants and flowers are very unique. This includes the special corpse flower which open only every 12 months. The animals collection has the color frog and some fresh water fish. The sphere interior also look good for the picture. That includes the bird nest.
