We were completely blown away by what we saw when we arrived at our appointed time to visit. The Spheres comprises a trio on connected glass domes, located in the center of Amazon-occupied office towers in Downtown Seattle. The Spheres opened in 2018 by Jeff Bezos for his employees. They are only open to the public for free on two Saturdays of each month. The structure was designed by American architecture firm NBBJ. They serve as an employee lounge and workspace. The Spheres are a fully functioning, self-contained ecosystem - a greenhouse with more than 40,000 different varieties of plants from all over the world. It is built on a concrete foundation, using 620 tons of steel. The structures are connected in an open-plan indoor area filled with numerous exotic plants. The most striking feature inside the Amazon Spheres is a 4,000 square foot Canyon Living Wall. It stands 62 feet tall and 50 feet wide. A path winds up four stories across a suspension bridge to a Bird's Nest meeting area. During the day the temperature inside is in the mid 70's with 60% humidity. At night, it drops to 55 degrees with 85% humidity. The highest of the three Amazon Spheres is 90-meters tall. The catalans at the Amazon Spheres contain an incredible 2,643 panels of glass, making the whole structure visible from the outside thus, creating a clear view on the inside. Once the entire family met up, we climbed back into the car and headed to Bellevue. Not sur if it was due to the time. But we were surprised there was a lot of parking available. We spent a good 2-hrs here which included getting lost and finding other street entries into the botanical park from a school and from other busy street corner at the bottom of the park. Nice and shaded, quiet little creeks, plenty of seating for those that were inspired to journal, plenty of elderly people using this time to exercise and stretch. We enjoyed the different areas like the swinging bridge, the Japanese garden and even the little cafe they have there. Fairly priced items and plenty of tables to enjoy a refreshment and snack. By the time we were done, the gift shop was already closed. So I took the opportunity to drop a donation into the box instead.

The parking lot for pickers is just north of the address on Yelp but they had plenty of signs that made it easy to find. You have to go down a gravel road to get there so keep that in mind if you don't want your car getting dirty. They had quite a few rows of strawberries for picking, and had 4 different varieties available. We also saw some apple trees where the apples were growing for picking in the fall and some peach trees. They also have veggies to pick but we didn't walk that far back. A lot of the strawberry plants had been pretty picked over but still had plenty of fruit if you pulled up the leaves and looked. We ended up picking about 3 lbs of fruit to take home. The fields are super dusty so make sure to wear sneakers you don't care about because they will get covered in dirt. We enjoyed a relaxing time picking berries and enjoying the beautiful views. I will definitely be back with my husband and daughter to enjoy picking some more fruit.

Bailey's Farm is a dream. My mom and I spent the afternoon picking strawberries and raspberries together, surrounded by blooming fields and buzzing bees. The strawberries were bright red, perfectly ripe, and so fragrant it felt like walking through a natural perfume. That smell alone could heal your entire nervous system. The raspberries were generous and delicious too, but it was the strawberries that made time stop. We picked slowly, laughed often, and let the wind guide us from row to row. It wasn't just a farm--it was a pause button in the middle of our road trip, and a memory I'll hold close forever. The only thing that could use improvement is the parking lot. The entrance and exit are one-way, but it's not clearly marked. It's a small detail, but clearer signage would make arrival smoother. Similar to the Varsity Theater in University District, Majestic Bay Theatres also offer $6 movies all day on Tuesday. Varsity offers that every day, but the Majestic Bay is eons cleaner, has nicer movie screen and sound, and the seat more comfortable than Varsity and I thought it was worth every penny. I went to go watch Mean Girls at 4 pm yesterday. Seems like everybody knows about the Tuesday deal so the 7 pm show was sold out, but there were plenty of seats left for the 4 pm show for obvious reasons. It looks like they only show three movies at a time, and I don't know how often they get new movies, but I'm looking forward to taking advantage of the Tuesday deal more often. Also one thing to note for myself mostly - aisle C was a bit too close to the screen so I recommend sitting around aisle E.
