He reached a couple of minutes before - which itself at times speaks a lot about a provider. Both my husband and I found him helpful, attentive to detail and understanding during our first conversation and that was perhaps something which made us comfortable enough to hire the services of Kyle for our home's exterior's maintenance. To give an example - we have landscape and couple of lawns in the front and a lot of tree cover all around the house more as we go down slope towards the rear. The trees and plants are dense and lots of big ones are near the boundary of the decks itself. We wanted to be sure that as much as possible, the plants, grass, smaller plants, trees closer to all the decks can be protected and should survive. Kyle assured that he will do his best by covering where possible, washing soon afterwards so there is no or minimal damage and set our expectations that smaller plants may still wilt or die. He sent in the estimate which was prepared meticulously and in detail, listing each service separately; what each work would entail and what should we expect - which again was reassuring as we wanted several different services and were somewhat nervous about the landscape protection. He arrived sharp at 8.30 AM on both the days and worked really hard and fantastically. In fact his energy and enthusiasm on both the days all through the day right uptill the evening without that enthusiasm weaning away - amazes us still. Both him and his colleague did a well coordinated job. Kyle himself being detailed and very thorough in his approach, does not relent till satisfied himself. He likes to keep checking with us "if all is looking good" :). He took time and put in a lot of effort to complete all jobs and in a timely fashion. We are very happy that we hired and entrusted Kyle with our home. The exteriors and some part of the interior that he worked on look spic, the landscape, plants - big and small, lawns, trees all around- all look good too so far! Infact, we have also agreed on some additional work for a separate fee quote which is WIP and think of it as a long term working relationship with Premier Home Services and with Kyle. They carefully removed all the screens, cleaned out the window sills first, which included every nook and cranny. Then they got to work on the windows themselves. They worked for about 5 hours altogether, without a break (we have a large house). They wore booties in the house to protect our carpeting. Five stars for the installation -- outstanding project manager and crew: responsive, punctual,…read moreprofessional, top-quality work. One star for the sales process. When we raised concerns, I believe the salesperson my partner dealt with wanted to make things right, but sales leadership stepped in, dismissed our concerns as unfounded, and offered nothing. Those concerns were (and still are): 1) Sketchy contract execution. NPP offers a 5-year prepaid lease in partnership with Balto Energy. It lets homeowners offset installation costs because the leasing company collects a 30% federal tax credit (no longer available to homeowners) and, in NPP's words, "monetizes that tax credit over 5 years." The contract was executed by sending the DocuSign to just one partner, with all owners lumped onto a single signature line -- one person signing on behalf of the other. For a married couple in California, that's legally questionable under community property law, given a) the encumbrances placed on jointly owned property, and b) no power of attorney authorizing one spouse to sign for the other. I never saw the agreement until installation was underway. 2) Misleading claims. My partner was told, verbally and in writing, that we'd "own the system outright" at the end of the 5-year term. In truth, the contract contains only vague language about a fair-market-value buyout, with no detail on how to initiate it or who to contact at end of lease. We've had zero contact with Balto through this entire process -- only NPP -- yet NPP's sales director told us they have no role in the lease agreement once it's signed. In other words, they don't stand behind the product they sell. Don't be like us -- do your diligence (especially if you're over 65 and new to solar leases), verify every claim against the actual contract language, and make sure all owners review and sign every agreement.
