He was delivering shrubs to my neighbor and I asked if they ever haul away branches for a fee. He agreed to help me out and was so positive to deal with even though it was a large amount of stuff for him to haul. I asked about the business and he said he and his brother are excited to continue the business with their dad who has been around for 32 years. I couldn't believe how nice and willing he was to help me! I'm looking forward to visiting their nursery to get plants for my new yard. If this is the level of customer care to be expected, this business has a bright future!

The staff where very friendly and helpful. as it was basically the end of the season for azalea's there selection was not good. I also felt that there pricing especially on the azalea's where extremely expensive more than double the cost of home depot for similar size. I originally went to Cavacini Landscaping as the Home Depot near me had none left. I ended up leaving and going to another Home depot where I bought azalea's for half the price. Cavacini had a good selection of perennials but again pricey. If I was in a bind I would go back as the plants looked nice and the service was friendly and staff was helpful.

We…read morehad used Local Roots Landscaping when we purchased our home to install some flower beds and wanted to work with them again since we were so happy with their work. When March came, we knew what we wanted to accomplish, and Matt Huebner was assigned our estimate. Our project consisted of a resodding installation for our front yard, cleaning out and the mulching of our flower beds. Matt didn't even need to visit our property to do the estimate, instead using satellite imagery for our property lines and work areas. Their quote was received promptly and was within our budget, so we approved the estimate and scheduled the work to be completed. We were hoping to have the project done in May but Pittsburgh weather being what it is and a rainy May, things got started on May 26 (Friday). Ben and his crew (For transparency, I'll mention that the work was subcontracted out to another local Landscaper who does most of the general landscaping for Local Roots) arrived around 9am and hoped to finish the job in one day. They worked until early evening and would have completed the job but ran short on mulch. We were fine with that because the sod was installed by the end of the day, so our yard didn't look unsightly over the weekend. The crew returned the following Tuesday to complete some mulching and only needed about an hour to finish. Things looked fantastic and the grass is growing out nicely almost two weeks later. We are very happy with what we had done.

Roughly 3 weeks later we had a video conference and they reveal our design. During the call they did not give us fencing options to look at and that was the main reason we were redoing our back yard and hired them. All they did was quote us on a vinyl fence, which we clearly stated we did not want, and an aluminum fence. They did give us plant options however we clearly stated we wanted roses, a space for a hot tub to be added later and a space for a fire pit, None of which they took into consideration. As soon as the call was over I received a bill for $1200. My boyfriend and I spent time reviewing the design and overall we were not very happy. It was like they took the existing yard and added a retaining wall. They did not include several items that we asked for and quoted us for something we clearly stated we did not want. Two days later I sent an email to the company stating that my boyfriend and I were not happy with the design. I listed the reasons why and said that we would be moving on from their company. Come Monday morning and I received an email with an overdue bill for $1200 dollars. It was 4 days after the design meeting and now all of the sudden I have an overdue bill??? They did not respond to my email and ask "how can we make this right" or anyway to fix it they just sent an "overdue" bill that I got 4 days earlier. They quoted us over $170,000 for our design, which we were going to pay with a few design changes, and they didn't even ask HOW CAN WE MAKE THIS RIGHT? I do not recommend this company.

They clearly knew the product was bad because they provided full refund but even the replacement plants are not in good shape. Mike is the person you deal with for issues with plants and he couldn't be more nasty. He even admitted to me they knowingly sold me hundreds of dollars of trees two days before they announced a 50% off everything sale and said wouldn't you do the same in your line of work. My boyfriend went in and the man he worked with was also miserable and nasty. I will add when I was waiting to check out there was a man in front of me returning everything he had purchased within a few days ago so there is a pattern here...I recommend Michael Brothers- lower prices, kinder staff and BETTER QUALITY!! DO NOT SHOP AT PLUMLINE!!!

Over some years now I've been landscaping for a number of residences . I've worked with area…read morenurseries, buying shrubbery and various plants from all of them. Anyone who has done this work knows that even with careful planting from reputable nurseries, a number of plants *can* die. In these rare cases, my landscaping plant suppliers have kindly worked with me when this kind of loss occurs. Some have offered a percentage off for replacement and even the big name hardware stores sometimes offer full replacement for stock that fails. But replacement is not the issue. I have no problem when faced with a supplier who *kindly* says they cannot offer any replacement or discount for plant stock that dies - I get that. ---At Cavanaugh Landscaping, When I inquired about an unusually high number of plants that had died after planting, the man I spoke to was rude - and I'm being kind. I can't objectively complain about a 60/70% plant failure rate (although I've never experienced this before) - but I *can* complain about someone who tells me I'm an idiot who doesn't know what the [expletive deleted] I'm doing - even if that is the case. I would pass on spending money here for any number of reasons - some I can't quantify - but some I sure as heck can.

They are amazing and super quick, not to mention friendly. The guy on the chainsaw is a ''Tree Ninja" so to speak. Can't beat the price, they always go above and beyond. I used to call them the Jolly Green Giant Trees since they seemed to touch the sky. Lester Tree Service did a fantastic job of taking them down. It was clear they knew what they were doing as it seemed like they had the first tree down in minutes. There were three men that showed up at our house. They were friendly and cleaned up all the extra mess after the trees were down. They even chased my cat for me that got out. They did very good work for not as much money that other companies quoted for taking the trees down. The only thing I would change is to let the people know what day they were coming. We didn't have everything cleared out for them to do their job but they were kind about that and just moved objects for us. I highly recommend Lester Tree Service.

I really needed my scrubs cut back, brick sidewalk cleaned and sanded and trees trimmed. They are professional, respectful and really listen. I have them come twice a year, winter and summer.
