First off thank you to the kind and thoughtful hardworking teachers who spend their life…read moremeticulously perfecting their classroom environments. The one little star is for you. It's a symbol of the little golden star we coveted as kids. Thank you for your kindness. The rest of the stars lack due to this school's administration. We have an active situation going on where a couple of years back Mrs. Davis and Mr. Holfreter allowed a substitute teacher come into my child's class and inflict a corporal punishment upon him. I spoke to Mrs. Davis and she assured us the sub would be handled appropriately. Guess what you guys, it didn't. Why? Because the same sub came in today and did the same exact thing to my child. Now I will preface my kid is no angel, we're humble and honest about it. However does any parent on here think it's okay for these two principals to allow a person who is putting our children outside on a hot ramp in the middle of the day during a record breaking heat wave, okay? I think not. But it's okay for the administration to dismiss us and tell me I'm too emotional and their secretary to tell us that we can't demand to talk to the principal because they only see people by appointment only like people do at doctors or dental offices. (Walk ins don't exist apparently?) The disrespect and amount of unprofessionalism is overwhelming, not to even mention they had no recollection of us sitting down and having IEP meetings that have not been recorded on his file either. RANCHO VISTA DOES NOT KNOW YOUR KIDS! I urge all families talk to your kids and if you have had a similar experience please reach out. Thank you and I wish everyone to stay safe out there.

All of his teachers have been amazing. They always have events like the recent mother/son dance and they're all outstanding. They have switched principal's here 3 times since he's been here but other than that, the school is great.

I am writing to formally express my serious concern regarding a disturbing incident in which a…read morestudent was physically attacked on school grounds while a teacher allegedly witnessed the event and failed to intervene, de-escalate the situation, summon immediate assistance, or render aid afterward. If these reports are accurate, this conduct represents a significant failure to uphold the district's duty of care and its legal and ethical obligation to maintain a safe educational environment for all students. School employees are entrusted with the responsibility to take reasonable and appropriate action when a student's safety is threatened. A failure to act during a violent incident may constitute negligence and raises serious concerns regarding staff training, supervision, compliance with district policy, and adherence to mandated student safety protocols. Equally troubling is the reported failure to provide assistance or support to the student following the attack. The apparent lack of intervention and post-incident response demonstrates a disregard for student welfare that cannot be overlooked. Given the seriousness of this matter, I respectfully request that the district conduct an immediate and thorough investigation into the incident, including a review of any surveillance footage, witness statements, staff conduct, and compliance with district safety procedures. I also request clarification regarding what corrective actions, disciplinary measures, and policy reviews will be implemented to ensure that students are properly protected moving forward. Parents and students must be able to trust that school personnel will act swiftly and responsibly when a child is in danger. Any failure to do so undermines confidence in the district's commitment to student safety and exposes the district to potential legal liability. I expect this matter to be treated with the urgency and seriousness it warrants, and I request a written response outlining the findings of the investigation and the steps being taken to address this issue.
