I briefly mention the medicaid to the front desk and they refuse to see me at all, even as a cash patient listing a legal liability as the reason. I recently relocated to Terre Haute which is why I need a dentist, but I have spent the last 12 years in the dental field. I have never heard this rule before. On the bright side and the reason for the second star I have also never met a dentist willing to turn down thousands of dollars in cash, so you can probably trust them.

Gave me their number, so I called Dr. Humphrey's office and the lady on the phone was a little concerned that Dr. Mardis office staff told me to call them without even seeing me and that they usually have the dentist see me and then refer me. Not good Dr. Mardis. The thing is, I have awesome insurance, moved here to find a good Dentist...only to get told basically to "move on" we aren't interested. Thanks for that though. But because they had their office jam packed with people waiting to be seen, we basically were told that he had to get in the chair right then or get out because they had to many other people waiting to be seen. This all happened in about 3-4 minutes so it's not like we were causing a holdup and it was so noise filled and chaotic in the office that even I was uneasy. I broke a tooth last night, and they got me in today quickly and fixed the problem. This is the…read morethird time that I have broken a tooth, and they have gotten me in quickly each time. The staff are friendly and great. They listen carefully and answer all of my questions. Dr. Haring worked on my tooth today and gave detailed advice. He told me to be careful if I was drinking something hot while I was still numb, and suggested that I touch any liquid with my finger to ensure it wasn't too hot. After all the dental work that I have had, that was the first time anyone had given me that tip. He also reminded me to be careful if I ate anything before the medication wore off, and to chew softly. I appreciated the care from everyone today.
