I've used them several times at 2 of my properties. While getting a voicemail when you call instead of a person is relatively inconvenient, they are always very responsive and their price is great. I've had them trim trees, grind stumps, and chip brush and they've been timely and done a good job each time. They do not call ahead when they are coming but that wasn't a big deal for me and I didn't ask them too so maybe they would if I asked. read more

By day Greg is the modest, discrete tree feller, however this is just a cover for his true identity as a CIA operative and assassin. I'm tunneling through TOR and a VPN and I'm still worried he's going to identify me with all of the resources and contacts he has. The reason for the average review is that as a tree feller, well he's just ok. For starters when you call they are very unprofessional, I was greeted by a lady who simply said "hello" and I responded "hi, is this Greg's Tree Service?" sarcastically she responded "um yeah" I then asked her if I could set up a free estimate and she rudely told me that someone would call me back. When I received the call back a few hours later I was unable to answer the phone and they called back again five minutes later (still unable to answer the phone) they left rude message stating they had been trying to get ahold of me and to please call back. It is one of those feelings you get when you know you shouldn't do business with the company but need to for the price. Greg's was the cheapest out of the 3 companies I had come out for estimates and that is the ONLY reason why I went with them. They cut down the tree's within the 2 week period they gave me, but I had wanted them to leave the wood cut into 18 inch pieces for me. When I returned home to see they had cut down the trees (they don't call to let you know when they are coming) there wasn't any wood left. I called to ask where it was and had to leave a message. I hadn't heard back from the company and 2 days later I returned home to find random maple tree wood thrown up my tree lawn. This wood was NOTHING like the wood I would've had from my tree. Not to mention the sloppy way it was tossed up my lawn. The wood was about 30 inches around, knotty, bugs had eaten it, and impossible to split. When I called back to tell them that I didn't want the wood that was left Greg screamed at me on the phone and said the following statements: "Do you think I have nothing better to do then come back out there and pick up the wood" "I was trying to make you happy, but I guess that will never happen, so you get nothing" "My guys spend an extra hour at your place grinding your wood and were late to the next job" "Firewood is firewood so it doesn't matter what the size is" And then to top it all off...he HUNG up on me! I would never do business with Greg's Tree Service again and know fully understand why he was the cheapest I had called. I would've given them 2 stars for at least taking down the trees, but the disrespect I received from Greg would land them the 1 star. Very unprofessional. read more

Gregs Tree Service was great. Hard working guys did exactly what I needed to have done. Showed up with two huge trucks ready to bust their behinds and Removed 5 nuisance trees at an exceptional price. Other reviewers complain of the way the lady answers the phone or didn't leave wood. Well, I really don't care how they answer their phone .....and I asked for them to leave me some wood and they left me plenty of wood with no problem what so ever. Someone else said they come out unexpected....ummmmm you signed a deal for them to cut trees down...duuuh.......I was happy to see them. So I don't know what people expect. If you want trees removed at a super price then use Gregs Tree service. If you want to over pay by double and have someone answer a phone better or call you all the time ...then do that. GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!! This company is very deceptive. Like the other review I went with them strictly for price and I regret it. I wanted my lower limbs trimmed, they said we call that "raising them up" I said ok whatever and hired them. They come by (unannounced of course I wasn't home) and barely trim anything. I call and complain they say "raising is just getting them so you can walk under them and mow your grass without hitting your head" they said trimming is completely different and would be a different price. That's what I wanted in the first place. I echo all the other comments in the other review like the poor communication and unprofessional nature of the business. It's all about value for money. If I want my hand held when buying something, I'll go to Nordstroms. Greg came to the house, gave me a quote that I decided not to shop. His crew showed up same day and did all that I asked. If you want the whole "customer experience" thing, then shop around and pay more for what? A better receptionist? Considering what I payed for what I got, these guys are great and I'd highly recommend them. read more
