Large, green, and filled with trees, this park is full of people participating in a variety of…read moreactivities. There's even a big dog park for pet owners! Throughout the park there are tracks and walkways and there's a nice lake in the center. The only downside, and this is a major disappointment, is that there might be looters and criminals after sunset, so pay attention to your surroundings! Our stroll through the park got us hungry, so we decided to find a nearby restaurant. We stumbled upon this place with nice open seating, so we decided to stay for lunch. It's actually within the park on the southwest corner, but I couldn't find it on Yelp. Jardim Churrascada is the name of the restaurant, and it was my first time trying Brazilian biro-biro rice - their version of fried rice - and it was delicious! It pairs well with any type of meat. With the perfect weather, we had a really lovely brunch. São Paulo is a nice city and has so much potential to become one of the world's top megacities if only the government were less corrupt and were more proactive in developing and fine tuning the city's infrastructures.

They were organized in lines with the most recent pieces towards the front and the older pieces near the back. Because of this set up, the information about each work was on the back which makes you take the work in before knowing anything about it. I came here for the first time for the Hitchcock Expo, which was truly amazing. It was so well done, incredibly well-organized, and I thought it was a great value for the price. I came here a few weeks later for a showing of The Shining with a live band and that was a really crazy unique experience as well. I'd never been to a movie showing with a live band before and it was so intense, especially in a movie like The Shining. I recommend the MIS to everyone. Check out their website and see what special events are happening and make sure you go to at least one of them! There was a little market in the front courtyard of the museum when I went for The Shining and they were selling lots of artesanal foods and crafts. Eu amo esse museu! The most dangerous place in São Paulo!…read more Within seconds of arriving we were attacked by street kids (who were about 12/13 years old). They attack as a pack and steal from everyone. They circle you in a group and punch/hit you to steal anything they can. Police are in the area but outnumbered and can't help. There are also homeless people everywhere. Read the reviews on google (there's a lot more than here on Yelp. Side note, I visited the cathedral by myself about 10 years ago with a big SLR camera and felt relatively safe. Now it's a a no-go zone. Very very dangerous. Stay away!!!

This…read moreskyscraper was recommended in my guide book so we made our way to this attraction downtown on a weekday. The area surrounding the skyscraper is a busy area. It was a little tough to find the entrance to it but we eventually figured it out. We bought tickets online the evening prior and handed them in at the desk in the lobby. Edificio Altino offers more than just panoramic views of the city. On various floors in the building, you'll see art installations. There's an indoor skate park. The lobby is ornate. You can easily spend a few hours here exploring. Do it for the views and the art. It's a nice double whammy.

Usually the center of the banco is where the art is on display. There is a cafe that is also open and the bank is a real working bank I believe.
