If you respect yourself, don't go there. Why?
Without exaggeration, Here's why :
1- Extremely unpleasant and arrogant thieves. Other reviewers claim the same thing for a reason. Keep reading, it only gets better :
2- I had to come back twice due to their incompetency and dishonesty. They had to reprint my prescription 4 times, as they would purposefully write the wrong address in order to render my insurance claim invalid, here's why I say this :
The manager would switch a "6" to a "5", then switch the digit "2" to "E", etc. on my prescription's address at every reprint, hoping that I won't notice, purposefully taking advantage of my poor vision (so that my insurance claim gets refused). The very people who are supposed to help you will step on you when you're down.
The reason he acted like this : He knew that I won't buy glasses from them, as I asked them for the Pupillary Distance (PD) measurement in order to buy them myself from the shop that I want, and he refused, to which I gladly accepted, as indeed, they're not obligated to. There's many ways to measure the PD anyway, so no problem for me.
*Even in the instance where those 4 reprints were truly honest mistakes, it's quite ironic that the manager of an optometry shop can't properly read an address after I wrote it on paper twice, repeated it vocally more than 3 times, and after he reprinted it 4 times (literally).*
3- I have better things to do than reviewing stores online, but this review had to be submitted for the sake of patients who are looking to actually be treated decently, without having someone stick their hands in your pockets and PURPOSEFULLY ROB you for your hard-earned money.
*IMPORTANT NOTES* :
i. The problem is NOT the Doctor himself, but the manager(s).
Dr. Rabih is one of the most pleasant and competent people that I've had the pleasure to interact with in my life, it's truly a shame and a curse that he has to spend his days around those individuals, if they can even be qualified as such.
ii. There's a reason why this store is so poorly rated, other reviewers are not lying, don't think that you'll be an exception. There's plenty of optometry shops in Montreal that will actually treat you decently without trying to rob you for your money.
iii. 1 star instead of 0 because : It's still fun and convenient to go there and see the glasses that you want to buy from their competitors.
Best way to describe them : Mediocre psychopaths that are lacking stimulation in a dull environment, where the doctor has to fake humble to avoid hurting their fragile ego, hence why they redirect it on customers. Their whole business strategy needs to be reviewed, that's if e-Commerce doesn't destroy you before.
P.S : Their optometry exam is over-priced, you can have the exact same exam for half the price anywhere else. Avoid this store like the COVID-19, although COVID-19 will tell you to your face that you're gonna have a bad time before you contract it.
