I came to Melanie for her PMU services (brow lamination and brow tint). This was my first time doing anything to my brows and she was so informative and down to earth. She was gentle, made sure I was comfortable and explained what she was doing. Everything was super clean and organized, she even has a TV if you want to watch a show while getting your services done. You can tell Melanie puts a lot of thought into her space to make it comfortable for her clients. I genuinely didn't know my eyebrows were capable of looking like this and Melanie did such a great job- both with technique and making your appointment feel like you're hanging out. That being said, she was very professional and also very detail oriented. She was honest about what we could do with my brows and mapped out many options. She recommended what she thinks would look best yet remained flexible and respectful! To sum it up... Melanie was amazing and I would recommend her to anyone interested in PMU services! Unfortunately i had to resort to a review after 2 1/2 months of being patient and understanding. My tattoo artist was (Atom) on July 11, 2021. My initial appointment Was decent. He understood what i was going for and performed the job. I liked the outcome day 1. He charged me $80 and i tipped $30. I support small businesses. Especially in the community i reside. As my tattoo began to heal i could tell it was going to need touching up. I reached out to Atom for advice & to see if he thought my healing process was going as expected since it was my 1st Color tattoo. he recommended that i allowed it to heal more and that once healed he would have me back in to Touch up the color. I agreed. Few weeks went by and i reached out and got no response from him. I waited a few days and reached out again with a response from him that came days later about a "family emergency". Me being understanding wished him well and told him i would give him some time and circle back later. Few weeks went by and i reached out again. By now I'm realizing his response time is days at a time or often no response. Finally locking down a day and time i was exited to get the touch up over with. My appointment was for a Monday at 1p. I arranged and paid for child care for this. He text me at 12p ( 1 hour before my appointment) and cancels stating he didn't have a babysitter. My frustration now has sat in. However i was still polite and understanding. I requested another day and time and got no response for a week. I had to send 2 text practically begging for another appointment. After another 2 weeks of no reply or short responses, he finally gives me another day and time. Would you believe the day before the appointment he text me at 2:05AM "with another family emergency" and cancels my appointment. Now I'm pissed. I took off for work for that appointment. 2 months of back and forth for a touch up he offered has cost me more money that it's worth. Im really disappointed. I'm in the service industry and understand the importance of customer service and this sadly was not a good experience. In addition he's never gotten back to me to reschedule. To this day! So i now have an u finished tattoo. Disappointing. Sorry but do not recommend him. I've had another tattoo done by someone else at the satchmoe art space and it was a great professional experience. I forget her name but in the future i will go to her instead. I ONLY went to Atom because she was busy. And based off his IG PICS i was confident in his work. Not so much anymore however. read more

Just had an appointment scheduled for tomorrow, canceled because the artist couldn't get in touch with me 2 days before said appointment to discuss design. Unortunately I work in an environment that does not allow access to personal cell phones and contacting me is further exacerbated by a voice mail system that is glitchy when the phone sits off all day. While I understand that we are all busy, I was contacted by them (via text) on Saturday to confirm the appointment but there was no mention of a need for a follow up to discuss the design. I figured we may need to have a larger design discussion but did not follow up on my own, so I own that, however I would expect a professional, managing their time to do a better job of communicating through the process. It sucks because I was really impressed by the work in this artist's portfolio but I guess it's back to researching a studio for my next tattoo. read more

Well, of course since I've been waiting to get this tattoo since August, I was hoping it would be amazing. Instead, I'm highly disappointed. So here it goes... Back in July, I sent a $40 deposit and scheduled an appointment August 14th. That appointment did not happen until yesterday Oct. 24th after many "family emergencies and moving situations", I put this in quotations because apparently, this is his running story with folks, which is kinda messed up. Soooo I waited all this time just to leave the shop with an unfinished tattoo, why....because apparently the guy after me had been waiting for months like myself and he didn't want him to leave. So I say, fine it's getting late anyway, even though my appointment was scheduled for 3pm and we didn't start until 4:45. So I go home with the intent on getting it finished, wake up this morning and notice after further inspection...some of the lines are crooked one of my stars was not completely drawn on and there's still ink coming out of the tattoo itself. So there it is...I'm walking around with an unfinished tattoo which I never had to do before especially with a design like this and I'm pissed. I was just going to pop up to the shop and speak to the owner, but you know what...fuck it, I'll go to another shop to finish it. Now, I'm not going to say don't go to this shop but I will most definetely say DO NOT GO TO ATOM. read more

Don't know why the ratings are so great!!! Initially, I was extremely confident this would be an awesome experience. However in all reality it was among the worst experiences. tbh I don't EVER do reviews but had to make it my business to do one today due to such poor business practice. For one, you can't reach a person directly when you call the shop it automatically goes to voicemail. YOU CAN ONLY SCHEDULE!!! BY PAYING FOR A SLOT BEFORE EVER HAVING AN ACTUAL CONSULTATION (at least with the artist I chose & my experience) I booked my appointment with Satch which was a 2 & 1/2 month waiting period which was no problem!! However after 2 months of patiently waiting, only after I posed a question regarding my tattoo...I was later told from his assistant that after he looked at my tattoo idea a second time that he declined doing my tattoo because it's wasn't his preference. So you mean to tell me that I waited 2 months after already paying for my slot and waiting only to be told that he simply doesn't prefer to do that style??? The communication with is assistant was HORRENDOUS!! If you're looking for an entire professional experience or to get a "smaller or non realism tattoo LOOK ELSEWHERE!! He ain't the one!! Starting with communication- he responds to inquiries promptly and politely with all the information you will need to book. Upon arriving to the studio, there is beautiful artwork in the hallway drawn and painted by Erick, and even more artwork inside done by Erick as well as another artist. From that alone, I felt very confident with his artistic abilities. He takes cleanliness very seriously which is extremely important in this industry as you can imagine, so you will not have to worry about unsterile products. Erick takes his time when drawing a tattoo to make sure it is exactly what the customer wants, without rushing through. Throughout the actual tattooing process, he is very careful and attentive to who he is working on. The end result is always something beautiful.
