Everything went smooth, they were quick to assist me and help me out with what I wanted. They made me feel safe and everyone there chill in general great vibes! Will definitely come back again!

Do not go here if I read these reviews I would of never my snake eyes was done crooked . And had to be taken out I'm so upset a waste of time, pain and money

Supposed to be Snake eyes tongue piercing

Went there to get my snake eyes done because my original piercer was out of state, they have horrible customer service, the piercer ruched to do my pricing and did it to so wrong !!! It's not even on the tip of my tongue and it's so far back that to balls were pressing into my tongue. The vibes in there is so off and uneasy. I went to another shop and they told me I had to take it out for safety reasons and the piercing was making indents on my tongue.

I had my cartilage pierced for over a year (by a very reputable piercer) but came here to get it changed out to a gold hoop due to the fair pricing. I also decided to get my 2nd and 3rd lobes pierced. I should have backed out the second I saw the piercing gun. I'm pretty sure it's basically common knowledge at this point that ALL reputable piercers will ALWAYS use a needle (even on lobes) for numerous reasons I don't need to list here. But clumsy me is not confrontational and I just went with the gun thinking "oh well it's just my lobes, it should be fine". When he placed the dots on my ears I thought my first and second holes were placed too close together so I asked him to move them a bit and he jokingly remarked "Oh so you're basically just telling me I'm bad at my job", and even though it may have just been a joke I feel that you absolutely shouldn't joke like that with your customers, especially ones like me who already struggle advocating for themselves (clearly, lol). So he moved the dots a bit and though I still wasn't totally happy with them, I was put off by the initial joke and let him pierce it. Guess what, my left ear second hole still came out too close to my first hole (my earrings were literally touching) and it bothered me so much that I ended up taking my second hole on that ear out, letting it heal over, and re-piercing it myself later with a needle the way it should have been done in the first place. (p I'm also pretty sure this shop is the reason why I since had to retire my cartilage piercing which I had previously had no issues with. The piercer accidentally cut the back of my ear as he was changing it out and though the piercing hole itself felt fine, the cut definitely hurt. My cartilage ended up developing large bumps on both the front and back of the piercing and after trying to save it and reduce the bumps I eventually gave up and took the jewlery out. I believe the material of the jewlery may be the culprit as I am just now noticing (months later) that my third holes which still have their original jewlery in them purchased from this shop also have large bumps on the back and I'm worried I might have to give those up now as well:(

    Thank you Ron

SO VERY PLEASED!!!!! It's my third time getting tattooed at RED OCTOPUS and I'll always go back. The shop is very well kept very clean the guy's is really accommodating they will talk to you and tell you what's good or what's not. You dont feel rush when your in the shop you feel like your in your friend's shop lol all the guys art work was amazing but I looked into Ron art book. And i saw that he was the one that I wanted to do my art and I wasn't wrong I'm so pleased I absolutely love my magnolia flower my Father would have been proud. Ron if you see this thank you so much I love it I will highly recommend Red Octopus Tattoo for your next art

My experience was Not so great, had my 2nd lobe piercing done. I asked for a needle, which I am used to, and I was told the gun was cheaper... interesting because money didn't matter but I listened. My piercings took a little over five months to heal and the earrings I purchased from this place made healing even worse. I expected so much better. I told the people at the front desk what I was allergic to.. I thought they pointed me in the right direction but the earrings I got didn't work out. I actually choose this place because they were highly recommend it on yelp, boy did I learn the hard way. I returned to the shop to ask questions and possibly buy new earrings to put in my ear but I was told the earrings that I had were the best that they offer and they couldn't help me. Different type of piercings are not new to me. I have four other piercings in my ear different places and they've all heal just fine with needle piercings and the correct jewelry. I had to nurse my own ears back to health and buy new earrings at a different place.

I loved my tattoo and John really took the time to make sure how and what I wanted. He really listened and took his time. I will be going back to this location.

Came in for a few piercings and Charlie was the best. I recommended him to a few friends who also had a great experience.

The tattoo that I requested was very simple and small, and they could not have executed this more perfectly. Furthermore, this was my first tattoo, and they put my newbie nerves at ease immediately. Pros: Price: The tattoo that I received cost $160 (pre tip). They ask for a deposit of 50% in advance, and then have you pay the rest onsite. I believe that $160 is the minimum price for any tattoo here. Tripp provided me with a quote in advance, per my request, and was very prompt and direct about the pricing as soon as I provided him with an example of what I wanted, which I really appreciated. I initially felt like this price was a bit high, however I called several highly rated tattoo parlors in the area, and this was the lowest price for my simple tattoo. So comparatively, this place checks out, price-wise! I am glad I paid to have it done at Wasteland, as the experience was incredible. Accuracy: The tattoo was executed exactly as I requested-- I couldn't have asked for it to be any more accurate, honestly. It was simple, but I think with simple designs, any flaws are even more visible, in a way? So I was very pleased with how it came out. Friendliness: I had a very pleasant experience here. Banter throughout the tattooing process, I felt like my artist and I were just friends hanging out. There were upbeat R&B oldies playing, which put me right at ease. Pain: Truly painless, to be honest. I was shocked by how little pain I experienced. Honestly, it was reminiscent of a small scratch. Also super quickly completed. Simplicity of booking: Booking this appointment was so easy. I figure that this is partly due to the simplicity of my design, however I was still surprised how quickly they got me in. I was able to secure an appointment within a week of reaching out. When I showed up, they were ready for me, and the entire experience felt very streamlined and efficient. Clean studio: The studio was clean, modern, spacey, and private. The bright colors and upbeat music put me at ease immediately. Masks were worn throughout the process. Instructions on treatment/self care of tattoo: My artist provided me with detailed instructions as to how to care for my tattoo. I asked a lot of beginner, kinda silly questions, but never felt belittled, and felt like I was being taken seriously and really cared for just in the way that my questions were addressed. The care process was honestly very easy, and within a couple of days, I felt that it was pretty much healed up! A super easy and fun process :) Cons: Truly ZERO from me! I am so pleased with my tattoo and impressed with the overall experience offered at Wasteland tattoos. I am recommending to all of my friends in the DC area! Go here! You will not be disappointed, and your expectations will surely be exceeded, as mine were.
