I do not--and I mean DO NOT--like going to the dentist. In fact, I have such a fear of dental work that when I was told years ago that I needed all of my teeth removed, I avoided it and instead had teeth pulled one at a time whenever the pain became unbearable. So when I walked into this appointment knowing I would likely need full-mouth extractions, I was terrified. From the moment I sat down, I knew this office was different from any dental office I had ever visited. The staff's kindness and compassion immediately stood out. Patrick, the dental assistant helping with my care, was an absolute ray of sunshine. He treated me like we had been friends for years. I hadn't eaten that morning, and my blood pressure was a little concerning. Without hesitation, Patrick offered me part of his own lunch to help. Beyond that, he was one of the funniest and most genuine people I have ever met. When you're as fearful as I am, having someone who can make you laugh and feel comfortable makes all the difference. My 7-year-old daughter was with my wife and me during the visit. When she heard I was going to have surgery to remove all of my teeth, she became upset and started crying. Patrick immediately comforted her with a hug and helped calm her fears. The rest of the staff went above and beyond as well, taking her to the front desk, letting her pick out a toy, and keeping her company while I underwent my procedure. Dr. Nguyen was equally amazing. Throughout the entire procedure, she continually checked on me to make sure I was comfortable and not in pain. The team even covered me with a weighted blanket to help me feel more secure and relaxed. Every step of the way, Dr. Nguyen and her staff did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable, cared for, and supported. For someone with severe dental anxiety, this experience could not have been more positive. The compassion, professionalism, and genuine kindness shown by everyone in this office were unlike anything I have ever experienced in a dental setting. I needed to have a tooth pulled that was infected and causing me a lot of pain. I'm not local to the area but luckily advanced dentistry was able to get me in the same day, that was a blessing. Upon arrival I got greeted by the insurance coordinator Erica, who was very nice and helpful. After meeting with her the hygentist Emily took me back, examined what needed to be done and from there I met the wonderful dentist Dr Hanset. Not only was Dr hanset very nice but he also walked me through what the experience and work I was about to have done, he was very thorough and clear spoken. I have seen many many dentists over my 24 years of life and Dr hanset and his crew stuck out to me the most, everyone was awesome, but Dr hanset made my experience unforgettable. I wish I was local so I could make him my primary dentist. They offer a $45 per month insurance plan that may save you 20% off charges for certain procedures. I asked what the cost of one cavity would cost and they said $300. So even with the discount, the cost would be $240 for one cavity. Imagine what a cleaning will cost! They come into Gresham charging Beverly Hills prices, well, I am boycotting them and I hope they fail and get the hell out of town. Dr. Hanset is skilled and gentle. I had two crowns done in one appointment and it went very smoothly and they look and feel great. The staff work together well and i was treated with respect, honesty, and consideration. Their 3D scanning/milling machine created crowns that fit perfectly in a fraction of the time. FEAR NOTHING!!! I just got my teeth done by Dr. Hanset a cavity filling and he noticed across the way there was an extra cavity that the x-ray didn't pick up. So, I got them both done that same day-double trouble- WRONG it went great! I rocked the glasses they provided and looked awesome. Christy the dental assistant was warm and inviting and great conversationalist and passed the time for me in a pleasant manner. Moved to the area recently and dr.Kwon's office popped up as the first on yelp so I decided to give it a try. It's been a while since my last teeth cleaning and I have to say Madisen is the best hygienist ever. She really took her time checking and cleaning each tooth while constantly making sure that I was comfy enough. Dr. Kwon sold the business to Isaac Hanset. Dr. Hanset looked at my straight teeth on my first visit and asked if I was happy with my smile. He never gave me an oral exam, he trusted the hygienist's opinion. Every person that worked with Dr. Kwon has left the office. I had added Dr. Keon's dental insurance, and had it for several years until he sold the practice. His office staff called me and told me I'd save/pay less without that coverage. That was partially true, but over the long haul it was likely a ruse to get away from insurance companies and the payments/discounts provided to the dentist. Long story short, Doctor Hanset no longer accepts insurance and the quality of care has deteriorated to extremely poor. read more

They made sure to tell me, more than once, that they were glad I was at their office. Debbie, my hygienist, is a complete pro. Incredibly upset with this experience. I walked in for my cleaning and the front receptionist had no mask on. I asked her why she wasn't wearing one and she pointed to it on her desk saying I do have my mask. Hello? Lot of good it is doing on your desk! I've been going to this dentist for about a year. I came in with a substantial amount of damage and decay, and these wonderful people are making my smile whole again. They're cheaper too, I know it's coarse to speak of the financial aspect - but it's important. I paid double at Gentle Dental, that's all I'll say.
