I'd been here once before with a group of friends…read morebut that was years ago and I hadn't had direct experience getting pierced here (though I'd watched them get their piercings). This time it was me in the chair! I went to get three additional piercing's including one I was pretty nervous about because I'd heard they hurt! But the staff was very patient and helpful. They were super respectful and knowledgeable about everything. I felt very comfortable with them. They gave a lot of detail about aftercare as well. One thing I really appreciated in particular was how Red warned me before he opened up the case that contained the peircing needles. That was super thoughtful, as I am sure a lot of people don't like looking at needles (even if they're willingly sitting there to get poked by one LOL). I also liked the breathing technique that helped things go by a little smoother for me (still hurt LOL but it wasn't so bad). Anyways overall fantastic experience and my piercings are healing nicely! Looking forward to returning for my follow up appointment and additional piercings in the near future.

The folks at New Era are quite the professionals and from what I've seen of all of the other shops in the area, I have to say thanks again for not being a complete arrogant dickhead like another shop that may remain nameless. I along with all of the others that came to you while we were in town still rave about the one true great experience in Houma. I guess I'd have to say my only regret is not getting more work done while I was out there because coming back to Cali I've got nothing but major compliments on all 5 of my tats. So again, thank you for your time and expertise. I'll be back someday soon to get the rest of my stuff done and even though I have to fly from Cali, it's well worth the trip. She has followed Merle Norman from Bocage to Corporate to the Mall of Louisiana and now to their new location on Jefferson Hwy. The Sunday in question, it was one errand on my list to take care of - I ran to the mall remembering it was there- no dice. I called the number and the manager answered- I couldn't remember the cream so she did some detective work to figure out what I needed. Oh one more thing- they were going to close in 5 min. I was so sad- but she offered to stay open if I was coming straight there from the mall. I booked it to where I thought it was (GPS is trying to kill me) and finally found it tucked away in a strip mall. They were closed but the manager was inside and reviewed my mom's profile for purchases to make sure we weren't getting the wrong cream- one more time. I will support this business forever for that. It really made my mom's day and I greatly appreciated the manager's commitment to her longstanding customers.
