I'm writing this review in hopes that management will address my recent experience. I came in with a specific reference photo for duck nails with sharp black French tips, which I showed before my service began. Unfortunately, the final result did not match the design or shape requested. The duck flare wasn't achieved, and the French tips were uneven and not as shown in the reference. I politely raised my concerns during and after the appointment, but instead of being offered a correction, I felt dismissed. I was also charged more than expected, despite the service not matching what was requested. I would appreciate management reaching out to resolve this fairly, whether through a partial refund or a proper correction. I believe clear communication and customer satisfaction should be a priority, and I'm hoping this can be made right. read more

The tech while giving me a pedicure not only cut by toe but left part of my nail imbedded causing me to have to go to a doctor because it ended up to be an ingrown toenail and an infection. I Plus I had an appointment with a tech that previously did my pedicure but when I came for my given appointment the technician was out on vacation and the shop never notified me. I booked a mani/pedi for two as I was treating my friend for her birthday. Their prices are reasonable compared to other nail salons in Frisco, but they have lots of add-ons so the price piles up. I believe their manicures start in the $20s and pedicures start in the $30s. Since it was my friend's birthday, she got 10% off her mani/pedi. The total bill for both of us before tip came out to be right under $200 and I didn't feel as if we added on that many frills. It's nice that they have a pretty stocked bar so you can enjoy an alcoholic beverage while you relax. The two nail technicians we had spoke English well enough so we could understand them, but they didn't talk to us much. The guy managing the front desk was really nice. I had gel nails that chipped within a few days and stayed on for two weeks. My friend had gel as well but hers stayed on for over three weeks. Not bad. read more

I stopped by to check out this establishment after reading reviews online. The receptionist was so helpful. I explained what I wanted and she filled out the form for me and even set up an appointment for me later that day (I was on my way to an appt when I stopped by). I came back at the appointed time and was greeted and quickly ushered to my pedi chair. Probably the best pedi chair I've ever sat in. The massage was awesome. I might have stayed an extra 10 minutes just for additional chair massage . Two techs worked on me at the same time. Eva handled my dipped nails & Dan did my pedicure. Both were attentive to details and did a great job with cuticles, shaping and polish. They do give a 10% discount for first time visitors. What a nice surprise. If you pay by cash or Zelle, you will also get a 5% discount. The nail salon is lovely, clean. Background music plays while large screen TVs with closed captioning are nearby. All good things must come to an end. I had been regularly going to Grey Stone for nearly 5 years until this week. Things have been slowly going downhill as I have witnessed many upset people waking out after being frustrated with waiting way too long for their scheduled appointments. I have also experienced delays in my appointments despite always making a reservation, but have been loyal to the tech I have always gone to. I had an appointment this week and indicated that I had slightly over an hour and was told they would check to make sure they had time to complete my requested design. I waited 30 minutes soaking off my old set before the tech even came to talk to me. I was asked to come back later because there was not enough time anymore to complete my service. I have heard similar stories from other friends who stopped going to Grey Stone months ago and I have finally had enough. I decided to frequent a newer salon and can say with certainty that I will not be back to Grey Stone again. Please step it up and respect the time of your loyal customers before you continue to lose them all. I always find myself here for a mani pedi! I love it here, but it can get VERY busy. Be careful though, they have a list of shapes and lengths that you can get for free and some for an upcharge. I searched on Google and found Greystone and took a chance, which is always a little scary. I called first and Andrew was so sweet on the phone and told me to come right in and that they would take care of me. This was probably the worst manicure/ acrylic nail set I've gotten before. I did come here with my friend and she did not do any nail extensions she just got a simple dip manicure. I got acrylic nail extensions with gel. The technician helping me was finished about 10 minutes before my friends basic manicure so that shows you how much this was rushed. (We started at the same time) every single nail was a different shape and uneven. The nail tech only did one layer of paint so the blue is sort of see through and just looks sloppy. I asked for a French tip with the color blue and on most of my nails he painted for rhan half my finger blue, not just the tip. The nail tech sighed and mentioned multiple times how tired he was and how he had a long day. They are always accommodating with walk ins which is nice, and i've never had major issues. However, on my most recent visit, I was rushed to my chair not even offered a drink until another woman walked by and offered one, the pedicure chair tray/cupholder areas had nail residue (from nails being filed on them), and the pedicure service was very lackluster. (I go to get a good massage but that didn't happen.) I believe i received the wrong service as well. I requested and paid for a nicer pedicure which should have been 55 minutes, but mine was only 45 min. All around, disappointing. This is my go to Nail salon. I have been going for about 3 years now, and every time I come, I am ALWAYS satisfied, and I get a different nail tech each time. It's not painful like some other places I've been to. Also, I am sensitive to too much heat, and I let them know and they are very receptive to making sure the temperature is good, whether it's water, towels, or hot paraffin. Prices are reasonable, not too high, but not too low either. The interior is beautiful. Sign up with your phone number and you get random 10% off coupons or something for your birthday. My 5 star review is for my nail technician. Nikki is excellent and she takes her time to provide the necessary attention to detail. She's fast but does not feel like an assembly line experience. The currency, toes and finger nails are the same. I am not a racist, but I can identify racism, when I see it. If you don't want to serve African American women, put a sign on the door. I walked in, she did not greet me or make eye contact. While I waited for her to acknowledge me and take my services slip, she did neither. 3 Caucasian ladies walked in right behind me and she rushed to greet them, eager to get them assigned to a chair. She finally took my slip and tossed it on the counter while she continued to engage with the 3 women. After and only after the ladies were ushered off to their pedicure chairs, she came back picked up my slip, from the counter, glanced at it and yelled at my nail tech "you have appointment'. She tossed my slip at a spot where I would eventually sit and she walked away. How would one interpret this treatment? Maybe, this has not been your experience, but it was and has been mine in the past. Moreover, I have seen her repeat this behavior with other customers who look like me. It's very hard to figure out a rating for my experience on Saturday.. my husband took me to get my nails done for my birthday. We had an appointment for nexgen with design and two pedis. When we arrived, we waited 20-30 min after our appointment time before sitting down. Once we sat and our pedis started, it was at least another hour before they started on my nexgen. I could tell they forgot about it as my pedicure guy had to remind the person coordinating everything. Both of our pedis were great and we enjoyed them! Honestly it was one of the best I've had and my tech was great! For the nexgen, the tech was good up until the design.. when I called I mentioned that I needed an appointment for a design, I then put it on my paper when checking in as well as showing the front desk coordinator the design I wanted in hopes that she'd pair me with someone who could make it happen, but unfortunately my design is poorly done. It's uneven, not straight and looks so rushed although she tried her best. I should have said something at the time, but I could tell how much effort she was putting in to it and I felt terrible. We also were there for 3 hours after it was all said and done, which is crazy enough in itself. This is a great place for typical nails and maybe there are a few techs who can do design, but management and the front desk need to be more thoughtful from the beginning in who they put on to do designs. I ended up paying $30 extra for a design that I am now going to get fixed and redone at another salon this week. read more

I have been to this nail bar on multiple occasions and have never had a bad experience until my last visit. David did my pedicure and scrubbed so hard with the dead skin remover he removed my skin. When this happened all he said was oops and put a bandaid on it and proceeded with the service. David would ignore me saying anything about being uncomfortable. I did not know it was as bad as it was until I got home. I tried calling all numbers I had associated to this facility and none of them would take me to an actual person. I sent an email and was told to come in and get a store credit. I have no intentions of going back to this facility and asked for a refund and have not heard back. My feet are still in pain due to the poor service I received and I will not be returning to this nail bar. My nails were fine but I do not feel they should break like this 10 days after getting them done.
