To whom this may concern: I was just utterly disrespected and blatantly slighted at the Raleigh, North Carolina greyhound bus station located on 2210 Capital Blvd. I purchased a ticket from Raleigh to Washington, DC on Friday, May 22 around 7:30pm using my laptop from home. I do not own a printer so I selected the "Will Call" option to pick my ticket up at the station. I received a confirmation email that clearly stated, "You have chosen to pick up tickets at the station or designated stop. It is solely the passenger's responsibility to pick up tickets in advance of travel[...]". My bus departed from the station at 4:05am. When I arrived at the station at around 3:15am I went to the counter to have my bag weight and pick up my ticket. I was "greeted" (I use that term lightly) by an agent named Keisha. I provided Keisha my reference number and presented my photo ID. Keisha insisted her system noted that I printed my ticket from home and that I would need to present said ticket in order to get on the bus. I advised that this was a simple error and offered to show her my confirmation email that clearly stated that I chose to pick up my ticket from the station. Keisha looked very disinterested and stated very rudely, "it don't matter what yo' email says. My system says you printed yo' ticket." I asked how this issue could be resolved because; 1) I didn't print a ticket, 2) my confirmation email (emphasis on "confirmation") says that I am to pick up my ticket from the station, and 3) it's 3am, I don't own a printer, greyhound does not print tickets (as noted on your website), and my bus leaves In less than an hour. Keisha came off very hostile and callous, as if she had a bad day. She told me that this issue was not her problem and vehemently stated that she "wasn't gonna loose [her] job for no ticket". I asked to speak with a supervisor and was informed by Keisha that she was the supervisor. Initially, I was not upset but rather disheartened because I knew that, while I could afford to find other means of transportation, there are other people in this area who travel through this station, who have customer service needs and no other means of getting to their destination, who have/will have to deal with Keisha and her terrible service. This situation MUST be addressed! Because of Keisha and Greyhound's system error, I could not go see my family for Memorial Day. read more

In Richmond the woman at the information desk told me the wrong port to wait for my bus then choose to use letters instead of the travel numbers so waiting for the wrong bus I missed my bus and blamed me for not knowing there system as well as charged me an additional $20.00 to fix there mistake avoid greyhound anyway possible. There customer service is terrible they just don't care, but if you must travel with greyhound avoid richmond VA as much as you can! read more

This review is about greyhound in general as well as the raleigh station. Greyhound has gone downhill over the years and is now nearly useless. The service is poor, baggage service is awful, food is not fit to eat. Workers are rude. Drivers are still ok at least I can say that. Tickets are not handled like airline tickets worse no refunds. No changing routes. I am quite old I remember the days you could jump on and off the bus on your ticket as much as you wanted just catch the same bus. And no names of the ticket so you could give your unused one to anyone and no baggage fees. In the good old days. I say forget greyhound. Go by train of get a ride on Craigslist. The Raleigh Greyhound Bus Station is a really nice place. It's clean, bright, and the people are helpful. My bus was late from another transfer city due to weather, and I missed my transfer in Raleigh, along with several other passengers. The Terminal Manager immediately jumped in with food vouchers for all of us and hotel rooms and cab rides for anyone who couldn't get a bus out to their town until the next day or late the same night. He was accommodating, friendly and made all of us feel like we were special and taken care of. His name is Ed Mosby. Awesome guy. We stayed in a Very nice hotel, and had no problems at all. The next day he asked if we had eaten, and if we needed anything before our bus left. I understand that things happen and some problems can't be helped, liked the weather, but Greyhound and Mr. Mosby made it so much better. He said "I can't do anything about what happens out on the road, but I can take care of anything you need when you get here to make things better." Great guy. read more

Greyhound should have never moved to this location. Although the space for the buses are larger, that's about it. The only convenience that this may help will be for the bus drivers only, but not the customers.They should have stayed near downtown, and just moved to a bigger location that was still close to the highway. Greyhound has to do better with their connections, and teach their staff at these small local stations better customer service skills, and give them training in the bus traveling routes so they won't give out the wrong information. Also start reprimanding them on their bad attitudes when people ask for assistants . read more
