I've lived here since September now, and I can actually say that I love it. It's tough to find an…read moreapartment and management company that really makes you happy, but Arla did it for me. The apartments are a good size, reasonably priced, and close to a bunch of stores and dining. I rent a renovated one bedroom. The rooms are all a nice size, although the kitchen is a bit small (see picture), but it works for me. Upon moving in, everything was spotless and ready to go. I can't hear my neighbors at all, which is also nice and somewhat unexpected. The management company has always been attentive. I had one minor problem which I reported through the resident portal online, and they had made the repair within a day. Also, after a massive recent snowstorm, they immediately began cleanup work, using a plow, front end loader, and snowblowers to make sure the lot and sidewalks were clear and everyone's cars were accessible. As for complaints, I only have a few. One is the laundry room hours - they close at 9PM, and I get home from work quite late so I often don't have time to do a load of laundry during the week if I need to. I think they should just stay open 24/7 since they are locked and residents have to use a key to access it anyway. There also aren't many machines. The laundry room by my apartment only has four washers and four dryers, so they're often all full. My only other complaint is the one car per apartment parking limit, but I can understand that this is just due to limited space. You get one assigned spot near your apartment, and there are a few visitor spots scattered about. This is especially tough since Nutley doesn't allow overnight street parking, so if you have two or more people with cars in your household you may be out of luck. Like I said, besides those little complaints I've really loved living here and I can see myself continuing to live here. I definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking to move into the area and there's an apartment up for rent.

Cars were flooded in the past and were destroyed - as such, tenants moved out. If you have an issue with a noisy, harassing neighbor, you need to take them to the Nutley Court yourself as management will NOT intervene and abide by the Lease you sign. They also play funny with $ they owe you when you vacate. Steer clear and look elsewhere! I hope this doesn't get taken down as they pay companies to remove bad reviews.

Worst management and place ever! When we initially moved in…read more2017, it was good. However, the last 3 years were very bad. We resided there from 2017 to 2023. First, be careful if you still live there, as they stole $565 from our security deposit. Management sent an email stating that they would charge a cleaning fee, but then ultimately they used a portion of our security deposit to replace the washing machine?!! Which we left in a good condition!! We will be contacting a lawyer regarding that. If you are thinking about renting there, let me tell you about the issues we faced there in the last 2 years. Our packages were getting stolen, and the management did not do much until, we, "the residents", started reporting the incidents to the police, and the person who was stealing the packages still lives in the building until this moment! More than once , there was an unleashed pitbull running around the cars and in the kids area! Of course, I called the management and they did nothing as usual. Also, they charged us an entire month of rent for an empty apartment despite that we lived there for 6 years, and we never were late a day to pay our rent on time, even during COVID. A 45 days notice was not enough for them I guess! During our last year there, I didn't feel safe, and it was not worth the $2500 we were paying. We are glad to be out of this complex, and I will never recommend it to anyone.

I fell on the knife and believed the misleading info. I paid the $270 application fee knowing that the $200 was the "hold the apartment" because I chose a rental available in July because the rate was keeper. Needless today, I was denied. NOW THE REFUSED TO REFUND THIS HOLDING FEE. EMAILS AND TEXT AND RUN AROUND. It was denied 3 days after application and the last update was I have to check w/ my college to see if you eligible for a refund. THEY DONT REFUND TO MY CC, only mail a check and don't tell you even receive the refund it will take 4-6 weeks. All of it is a SCAM Just like the employees and agents of this scam living option DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY- ITS A SCAM I WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS

In 2018 we moved in and every year after has gotten worst. The latest problem and the biggest is that they're charging us electricity even though we are paying PSE&G for that. We talked to the manager several times about this and nothing was done. This July our lease was up and after we told the manager we were leaving she said she would fix it and gave us credit but as soon as we signed the new lease she took the credit and changed it and made it as a balance to the rent. There was even a petition to remove the management from the office. Thats how bad it is here. STAY AWAY!

If you like ticks on the walls, raccoons under your floors, mice in your kitchen and a dead person reeking your halls, yes, dead then this is the place for you! Maintenance guy was always cool but Main guy, name rhymes with pay, was a jerk and flat out told me it was my fault for cockroaches because my place was messy. I never kept food out because I know apartments have occasional issues w roaches if youre gross. It wasn't just a few roaches guys. I'm talking I killed around 4+ in the morning and around 6 at night. They would come and "spray" but it was like roach food. I asked if I could call my own people and The main guy "Pay" said no. Guys I didn't eat in my kitchen for about 5 months due to mouse droppings and the ungodly amount of roaches. I was forced to eat pizza bc it stayed in the fridge away from roaches and mice. So that was expensive and unhealthy. I think they finally sprayed something that worked which just left me with a ton of dead roach carcasses and a few still alive and crawling around. I don't think anyone else works there besides the main guy "Pay" and he doesn't care what happens to you just as long as the rent is paid. The property was nice and big but usually always filled with geese and their poop. Annoying little dogs barking and off leash. Parking wasn't too bad. Beats NY parking. They have washer/dryer machines on site but I never went. Cool little dog run but be careful of ticks and fleas. My dog got Lyme disease assuming from that place...bc that's where we lived. In conclusion, I would find somewhere else or make sure you have the health inspector by your side and a lawyer on speed dial.

I…read morecame in back in fall of 2011 to a large one-bedroom with a nice kitchen and plenty of space. Within the first week, the piping to my kitchen sink had sprung a water leak, and a cabinet door, poorly attached, had fallen off. A month after reporting those, there was a leak in the ceiling in my bathroom. A year later, that leak is still there. Maintenance has come in once, saw it, and left never to return. The apartment is pretty, but the utilities show their age and the new property managers are content to let it decay. Rent increases as overall quality and service have decreased markedly under new management (Balt realty). There is some security here, which was probably great years ago My biggest gripe would make a great report to the Better Business Bureau. Since the door code has not been changed during the 14 months I have been here, security is a joke. The basement of the apartment, only accessible from the inside, has become a hangout for local kids who throw parties and do drugs down there. There have been multiple occurrences of the hallways and my apartment smelling like marijuana because of this. I've been making the same complaint for months, but they refuse to simply lock the basement door (Which, I might add, remained locked under old management.). It has been at least 6 months and nothing has been done aside from putting up a sign stating the police would be contacted if anyone is caught loitering in the basement. Poorly-maintained, overpriced, unsecured drug den. That pretty much sums up this apartment in a nutshell.
