He's a unique dog, and for a while we weren't sure we would ever find someone who could effectively and safely handle him, but Grace was able to not only speak his language - but also safely integrate him into walks with other dogs and help muzzle train him. She quickly became his favorite person and was one of the only people he trusted. Grace went beyond the walks and basic training and would sometimes ask if she could take him overnight to get him used to being around different dogs (hers) and people. He always loves these sleepover and has learned to better read other dogs and communicate as a result. Our boy has come a long way, and we owe so much of that to Grace and Lucky Dog!

We had to find a kennel in a rush because of an unexpected situation. We called all the kennels we…read moreknew of but they were full, so we went looking at the "unknowns". This turned out to be the perfect place for our dog. Jeff and Grace keep great control over the animals, and keep the numbers way down. Our dog was unsure of herself for the first day or so, but quickly joined the pack because I believe she felt very safe at this place. Great big fenced areas to play in, and best of all communal sleeping on furniture! She felt right at home. Highly recommend this place. You can see her airborne flying with the pack in the second photo!

Don't board your dogs here! Bait and switch and my dog came home with sores/open wounds (and they…read moredidn't bother to tell me)! I paid a premium for a "creekside cabin" which states (per their website) "each cabin comes complete with a flat-screen television, calming color scheme, and custom padded bed." The room my dog was in had no bed for almost an HOUR and the floor was soaking wet. I had to call them to tell them to give her a bed. The bed was just an elevated dog bed made out of PVC pipes. The paint was peeling off of the walls and the room looked like a prison cell. The creekside cabin is also supposed to have cameras. They don't tell you that the cameras turn off for about 9-10 hours a day. If you want to check on your dog between the hours of 9pm-6am, you're out of luck. I also paid for an extra package to have my dog taken outside to go to the bathroom more often. It also included pictures of my dog. They sent me pictures through the metal bars of the kennel where my dog looks distraught. When I picked my dog up and put her in the car, she smelled horrific, as if her skin was rotting. I went home and gave her a bath and her feet were all cut up, she had sores on her legs, and her feet were oozing/bleeding. I had to take her to the vet. Thank god I paid for the insurance here because they had to foot the $500+ bill. She had an ear infection on top of everything else, and had to take medication. When I told the manager about the bait and switch (the room looking like a prison cell), she laughed at me. When I told her my concerns, she said "we'll update the website". Don't send your dogs here. I'm still dealing with the consequences and it's now been 2+ weeks and a couple vet visits.

We have been bringing our Shih Tzu (12lbs) since 2022 for overnight boarding when our vet stopped…read moreboarding. The Pampered Pooch has been wonderful with our little dog. He is now 14yrs old and they take him to grandma's house for boarding as she will take small senior dogs. He seems to do great each time and keeps a peace of mind for us when traveling. The great thing is on the boarding they allow your dog to play during the day in the play group with other dogs. They post pictures daily, which is great to see. No extra fees for the playtime. With as many pet owners in the area we have been fortunate to get our dog into the boarding as needed. I would suggest booking in advance to secure your spot especially during school holiday time.

Thus, you have to be careful when grooming them because you could damage their undercoat and fur if you use mechanical trimmers. We picked PPPS because of the positive yelp reviews. We booked our pup for an appointment. PPPS uses text to communicate with you and the communication is excellent. PPPS needed vaccine records and many additional details to make sure it was safe for all the other pups at their location. We dropped off Zoey and spoke with the groomer (Bree). Bree was very aware of how to properly groom an Aussie. We had a brief conversation about what we wanted and believed Zoey was in capable hands. When Zoey was done, we got a text to pick her up. I was greeted upon arrival and Zoey was led out to me right away. Zoey looked fantastic!!! Bree groomed her exactly the way we had discussed. Zoey looked even better than I had hoped. I gave Bree a $20.00 tip. When I brought Zoey home and my wife saw her, my wife loved the grooming. My wife's only complaint was that I should have given Bree a bigger tip. I will fix that the next time we bring Zoey in for a groom.
