Daniel in the store was very helpful and patient, installers were excellent, whole process was very smooth. Carpet looks and feels great. Only complaint was the size of the samples, they promised us large samples and some of them were only a few inches square and some of the samples were never sent. Would use Grigsby's again for any carpet needs. read more

I've paid 50% to order tile, but I'm considering canceling my order and asking for a refund. after following-up with salesman Brad several times in order to place my order, and get installation scheduled, he texts me the day before the installation, to say his installer will come two days later. this is irritating because I have already scheduled a plumber to reset my toilets, and now, I have to move him. salesman Brad, keeps telling me that my 3 bathrooms are a small job, so it's like he doesn't want my business. read more

John Bryant has been taking care of the flooring for 100+ rental properties over the past 20+ years. The prices are great and the service is excellent. On the few occasions where there was any issue, they always took care of us. I noticed where one person posted a rating of 1 because Grigsbys had a political sign on their property of a candidate she opposed. How stupid is it to rate a business solely on their political sign? I could understand this if the sales staff insisted on talking politics but from what she said, that did not happen. She apparently couldn't consider doing business with someone of a different political view but also wanted to damage their reputation as well by posting a rating of one just because of the viewpoint. Are we not suppose to tolerate alternate viewpoints?? Ratings should be based on the quality of the service of the staff, the quality of the merchandise and installation and the overall experience. read more

What a smooth experience with grigsbys i had! I wanted a particular rug i knew the designer color everything. Being in okc i wanted to shop local so i went to Moormans and got samples when i got a quote for them for a 9x12 they quoted me 2500. I called grigsbys and asked them for a quote for a 10x12 and they said 1488. Not to mention it was a larger rug! John Bryant took all my info over the phone and ordered my carpet. He emailed me my receipt and was super quick with following up and touching base where my rug was etc. Picking up the rug was a breeze they had tie downs in the store available and men helping load. Grigsbys has excellent customer service and selection. Not to mention their prices are superb and they don't ever pressure you or make you feel like you don't belong. Definitely will return if we need any tile flooring etc! read more

Recently GRIGSBY'S installed new flooring in 2 bedrooms. Sloppy, horrible work (see photos)!! I contacted "installation manager" to request that he come to my house to inspect the baseboards that were gouged & scraped in both bedrooms -- not in spots but all around the baseboards. He said the baseboards could be touched up. I'm thinking NO WAY, but decided to consider touch ups. Baseboards too destroyed. Called manager and said replacement is needed. He REFUSED and threatened me by telling me he secretly recorded the conversation we had. Appalled I stated, "You can't do that!" He yelled back, "I can record anything anywhere!!" The conversation ended. I'm in my 70s and have never been treated so terribly, and I'm certainly not a threat to anyone! I am now forced to install new baseboards in both bedrooms. I want nothing to do with GRIGSBY'S or their bully threats and sloppy work. read more

Several years ago we purchased carpet from them to recarpet our upstairs bedrooms. And we purchased tile from them to retile our bathrooms. We highly recommend Grigsby's. read more

Only get's one star because I cannot comment without choosing at least one. Disappointed to arrive and find political (Conservative Republican) advertisements flanking the front of the store. We had hoped to purchase flooring and counter tops but will take our business elsewhere. Confirmed with the lady at the front desk just to make sure and she agreed that signs were on Grigsby's property. Not a good look if the company wants to appeal to a variety of buyers. read more

I will NEVER use Grigsby's again, and I suggest you look at another flooring provider as well. Sorry this is long, but it's basically a comedy of errors. Be sure to read down to where the installer nearly blew my house up. By the way, they only got 1 star because it won't let me post zero stars. I was first looking at carpet, and the salesperson, Cindy, told me the pad and installation cost was included. Not bad. So then I went to look at vinyl plank flooring. I found one I liked, and Cindy booked a time to come measure. At my home, I showed her which areas I wanted covered. One of those areas was the guest bath and linen closet. She even asked about the linen closet, and I confirmed that I wanted it included. She sent me the quote a few days later for carpet in the bedrooms, and plank everywhere else. I decided to go with just the plank for now, but had questions about the quote. Finally, it came out that no, installation isn't included in the plank pricing. Not happy, but I liked the flooring, so I agreed. Next was trying to find an installer. I am not generally available during the week, but I hired an out-of-work friend to house sit for me so they could put in the flooring. She sent photos of the progress, and everything was looking pretty nice. They completed almost all of the upstairs the first day (around 800 sq ft, including removing the carpet). The second day, there were 2 people instead of 4. Ok, things were moving slower but I didn't expect as slow as it was. They mostly finished the kitchen, and put thick plywood in the entry since there was a height discrepancy between the concrete floor and the baseboards. (I had taken out some old stone and a "mudbed".) The two men were here all day, and did most of the kitchen and the small downstairs hallway. One of the men (we'll call him "that one guy, or TOG") said he'd come back Saturday morning to finish the entryway/1/2 bath/laundry. We agreed on an 8:30am start time. At 9:15, I text his crew chief (or "CC"). CC says TOG is now on his way. 45 minutes go by, and TOG still isn't here. I message CC again, and TOG is just now pulling up, a FULL TWO HOURS LATE. I was having company that night, and wanted to run some errands before then. TOG said it would take about 3 hours to finish. And it might have, IF he hadn't been preoccupied with playing on his phone and going outside to smoke. CC showed up about noon and helped TOG for about two hours. CC commented to TOG that, "I should get you an old-fashioned wind up alarm clock!" This means TOG lied to me about his battery being dead and having to get a new one. He'd overslept. (Yeah, that would have been nice on a Saturday.) About 3:30 p.m., TOG STILL isn't finished, and is outside again, indulging in a cigarette. I finally ask him if he's about done. He hurries back in, does a bit more, and moves my washer and dryer back into place and leaves. About an hour later, I go to put something in the laundry room and smell gas. ONG came out, and sure enough there was a gas leak. Turns out TOG rammed my dryer into the gas shut off valve and damaged it, causing a leak. HE COULD HAVE BLOWN MY HOUSE UP!! The next day, I go to wash some clothes and hear my washer making an awful grinding noise. After a visit from a repair man, I learned that TOG bent the metal on the underside of the washer when he moved it, and the wash tub was grinding against it. As if that isn't enough, they didn't replace the flooring in the downstairs bathroom. CC said the work order listed "one toilet", which he took to mean the half bath. I know for a fact the sales lady measured that bathroom because I was standing there when she did it. There was no reason for it not to be included. CC ordered additional flooring, and came out a couple of weeks later to install it. This would have been fine EXCEPT that I opened the linen closet in that bathroom last night, and there is still carpet on the closet floor! SERIOUSLY?!?!? So, I've had it with them. I WILL NOT use them when I carpet the bedrooms. If you value your home, your time, and your peace of mind, USE ANOTHER COMPANY. read more

I ordered carpet that was highly recommended by the salesman, Randy Mount, at Grigsby's. The actual carpet did not look like the large sample in the store. I stopped the installation and called Randy. Randy sent their installation manager, Lucho, to my house, and Lucho agreed that the carpet did not look like the sample. Randy said that they should complete the installation and that their claims manager would look at it the following week. Grigsby's claims manager stated that my carpet was defective and filed a claim with the manufacturer. The carpet actually was not defective but had a weird angle in the pattern that gave the illusion that it was crooked and defective; this was not visible in the sample or the photo. Grigsby's was not willing to take financial responsibility themselves for the bad carpet that they had sold me, but they arranged for the manufacturer to provide replacement carpet. The selection from this manufacturer was extremely limited, and the manufacturer states in its online blog that this carpet fiber is known to mat down quickly. Therefore, I preferred to get replacement carpet from a different manufacturer. Grigsby's sent me a bill for the defective carpet that they had decided to install in my home. I asked Grigsby's to cancel the charge, but they refused. When I did not pay, Grigsby's sent me a letter demanding that I pay their invoice, or they would take further actions. Grigsby's manager, Penny, gave me no option other than to pay their invoice and select different carpet from the same manufacturer. Penny would not allow me to cancel my order or to pay more to purchase a better quality carpet from a different manufacturer. I called and left a message for the store owner, Dub Stover, but he did not return my call. I investigated all of my options. I reluctantly selected replacement carpet that I did not want and that is likely to wear poorly from the same manufacturer rather than pursue this matter legally. read more

A very disappointing experience with Grigsby's installation. Install was supposed to take 2 days but the crew decided to rush the job to try to finish in 1 day. They brought a new installer and was training him onsite (tile contractor heard the instruction in spanish), all while he repeatedly bashed (scratched and/or dented) my trim in every room. One of the rooms was a new addition with brand new trim. Additionally, one bedroom and master closet had the pattern very crooked and all thresholds were frayed and sloppy. Then 2 days after initial install, the original installer came into my house WITHOUT PERMISSION (while other contractors were there) to try to fix the crooked carpet. A call to my sales person made it very apparent that the installer was not asked to be there and that this guy just decided to come over. After they attempted to contact him, I had to leave my job to try to get him to leave but he left before I arrived (cameras show he was in my house for 24 minutes). They did pay for repairs and came back 9 days later to replace the carpet in the 2 areas. We made the decision to delay our move because we needed the painter to finish his repairs and we did not want to risk them scratching our newly refinished hardwoods when moving all our furniture to do the reinstall. They made repairs but only offered 4% off of the job (only after I called), which isn't even half of the labor charge. Companies need to understand that when a job is botched with damage and inconvenience, fall on your sword and offer a decent discount.... if not, your reputation will continue to suffer. read more
