I was overwhelmed by the lit up menu above the cashier counter since it ranged from grilled plates to salads and even wraps I finally landed on the Chicken & Salmon Grilled Plate for dine-in since I was indecisive on what kind of protein I wanted and got a Loaded Grilled Corn to go. I opted for half and half which was rice and salad as well as the spicy hummus. I liked how open the restaurant is with the tables spread out far enough from each other that it felt like I was in my own bubble as I read my book while waiting for the food to be done. I was surprised minutes later that they brought your food to the table and was excited when the plate came out and my corn already packed up. I was expecting the corn to be like esquite but it was corn on the cob, but that was my bad for assuming. Between the salmon and the chicken, I loved the salmon since it was crispy and juicy as well. Chicken was good too. Not a big raw veggie person when it comes to tomatoes, but happily ate it with my salad and proteins. Definitely only ate half of my meal since it was a lot and got the rest to go with a bunch of sumac packets since it's my fave seasoning with this food. You can make a sandwich by pickling the pita with the onions, hummus and tomato and stuff it with the chicken. It might not hold well, but you can work it. We also tried the falafel (some of the best I've ever had outside the Middle East), the grilled corn on the cob (perfect) and some loaded fries with meat. I ordered the falafel wrap but as a bowl (opting to not have rice just the falafel with the veggies with the addition of avocado). I did ask if they could substitute the dressing with a chipotle dressing on the side and they were able to accommodate. I think this is the first time I've ever seen square falafels! We placed a take out order for a few wraps and chicken platter to eat in our hotel room. Order was ready pretty quickly and we were thankful they took our order inspite of it being 30 mins within their closing time. Chicken platter: came with rice, hummus, a few grilled veggies, pickled cabbage, chicken and some pita bread. Rice was white in color but had some flavor. The chicken was perfectly cooked albeit a bit mild. The hummus was thick, not too creamy or nutty. The pickles provided a much needed flavor to the overall offering. Avocado chickwrap: I was surprised to find a wrap with avocado. I guess this is how fusion food is born. Chicken feta wrap: I liked this one more than the avocado wrap. Both the wraps came with dipping sauces and side of some pickles. Hearty size and can be more than sufficient for a very hungry person. Misleading discounts (apparently illegal in California) - the price you see is not the price you pay (unless you pay with cash) and when I asked they just said because paying with card is taxed (makes you wonder if they report cash transactions), which was also inaccurate since the tax was in addition to the increased hidden price. They also add the tax to the tip %, which is deceptive. They don't even give you silverware or napkins even though they are asking for restaurant amount tips. There wasn't much chicken in the chipotle chicken wrap, and the wrap was extremely small for the actual cost of it. My partner liked their chicken. Something tasted a bit off with the hummus and the salad was old. Employees pick food off the grill, then eat it with their glove touching their mouth, then go back to touching other food (saw this while sitting after ordering or else I would have just left). Also touched the phone, other dirty services and went back to touching food. Wouldn't come back. Wish you better luck. read more
