    Came back to try the other items on the menu I didn't order the last time. -Flat iron steak - cooked just right -Noah's Cauliflower - you want to mix it with salad underneath. We also combined it with the lamb hummus and used the pita - VERY GOOD this way. -Sea Bass- loved and would definitely order again. Great balance with the grilled veggies. -Double chocolate - would NOT order again. Tasted like they used a pre-mix in the microwave. Some parts were moist, while the crusty parts were inedible and hard to chew. Looked enticing though. -Vanilla ice cream with the honey and walnuts were a great combo. This visit was an 8 out of 10 for me. Enjoy.

    Really chic restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and a tapas-style menu. Getting a reservation was easy for brunch on a Saturday. We arrived around 11:30 AM when the restaurant opened and there were still plenty of seats available for walk-ins. Parking: We parked at the Americana parking garage which was free during our visit. Parking in the garages can get really difficult after 1 PM though. Our server also told us the restaurant validates parking if you park at the Americana, which was nice to know. Food: Really great selection of small plates! Everything we ordered was tasty and had really nice presentation. We came for brunch, but were told the lunch and dinner menus were also available to order from. For drinks, we got the Mimosa, Tokyo Sunset, and Permanent Vacation. The Tokyo Sunset was my favorite because of the fruity citrus flavor that surprisingly paired really well with the shiso leaf. From the brunch menu we got the French toast, egg pizza, and shakshuka. The French toast stood out the most with its rich flavor, soft texture, and fresh berries on top. It was recommended by our server and definitely lived up to the hype. The shakshuka was pretty spicy. From the dinner menu we got the Brussels sprouts and sea bass, which ended up being a really good combination. The sea bass took a bit of time to come out, but it was roasted nicely with tender fish, slightly crispy skin, and flavorful roasted vegetables. Total cost for three drinks and five dishes was around $140 before tip. Overall, Bacari is a great casual restaurant for a special weekend occasion or long conversation with friends. Their tapas-style menu makes it fun to share dishes and try a little bit of everything. There's also a ton to do around the area since this location is right at the Americana.

    I came into Bacari today for the first time and was very impressed! I was greeted by the hostess upon arrival. She kindly asked if we had a reservation, and when we let her know we were a walk-in she accommodated us with no issue. For a party of two we waited only ten minutes. We were seated in the outside patio area, which was very comfortable because there's patio heaters for warmth. The chefs recommend 2-3 plates per person to share, so my partner and I ordered and shared the scallop medallions, chefs salmon, noa's cauliflower, and the Mediterranean street corn. For drinks I tried the strawberry fizz forever (which came with fresh strawberries, vodka, lemongrass, lime, and soda water) which was so refreshing and well-balanced! The scallop medallions were so buttery and tender, practically melting in your mouth. The carrot parsnip puree paired beautifully and added a balanced, slightly sweet taste to the dish. The salmon was equally soft and flavorful, complimented nicely with the garlic and herb bulgar. The carmalized cauliflower with chipotle sauce and mixed greens was definitely a standout. The dish was so rich in flavor and with just the right amount of spice. Lastly, the street corn was very delicious, buttery, and satisfying. Overall, the dishes were felt light yet very filling. Would highly recommend and excited to come back again.

    I remember when Bacari opened. I was so excited to try it. We went a couple of time but we weren't blown away so we never bothered to return. But since the pandemic, every time we visit the Americana at Brand, we would notice the place was always packed. So we decided to give it another shot, and I am beyond excited we did! Something has certainly changed for the better between their first year and now. I don't know if it's a new chef or what, but the food is delicious for the most part. And the customer service is top notch. We ordered a couple of cocktails and a few items off the menu with the help of our server. The drinks were great (we ordered a second round) and the food was impressive. Up first was their beet salad. It was simple in its preparation and included both red and yellow beet wedges served over whipped chèvre and topped with fresh tarragon. Not only were the beets perfectly cooked, the tarragon took them over the top. Next was the barramundi crudo, which was served with an herbed cucumber relish, sumac and zataar. This was our least favorite dish because the slices of fish were not tender like we expect in a crudo. Our next three dishes made up for it. We had the stuffed mushrooms, pork chop and sea bass. The mushrooms were rather large, filled with with a yummy blend of cheeses and topped with pecans and a lovely pesto. Each one was packed with flavor. The sea bass was cooked perfectly and was accompanied by charred shishito peppers and corn, some tarragon aioli and a charred lemon half. Delicious! But our favorite was the pork chop. It was crusted in corn flakes and served with caramelized pearl onions, a cilantro crème fraiche and a drizzle of Aleppo oil. Next time, I'm getting one just for me. No sharing!!! LOL! What a pleasant surprise! It proves that restaurants often deserve a second chance, especially when you see it packed with customers night after night. Great job Bacari!!

    Really conveniently located on the street in Glendale and can find parking in the structure or on the street. Ordered the cauliflower, gem salad, scallop medallions, pork belly and pizza. Service was good right before lunch crawl. Very clean and open space feel. Not too loud and just perfect for a lunch meeting.

    I've been to the Glendale location twice and the staff is always super friendly, though sometimes hard to pin down. Takes about 20 minutes between asking for the check and actually receiving it! The food is unique and good. I like the Tripolene pasta, which I think used to be called the Oaxacan pasta but maybe too many people were butchering the name. The glazed pork belly and smoked mushroom pizza are also delicious. The stuffed mushrooms are just okay. Also once got a free dessert for my birthday. :-) They've since gotten rid of their mandatory service fee (which was in addition to a tip), which is reasonable considering the service is quite slow!

    I love Bacari! I went to the Silverlake location a while back and loved my experience there too. The staff are just incredibly welcoming and make you feel at home. The indoor dining area is smaller but there's much more outdoor seating for this location. The food was yummy as well. This restaurant typically has a lot of customers so I would recommend to get a reservation in advance!

    This place is so unique and fantastic. Their entire menu consists of tapas, so you get to pick and choose multiple dishes that can easily be shared. They recommend 3 per person. The variety is huge and their dishes are all delicious and creative. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and it gets very busy on weekends. Very friendly and helpful staff, in an open and clean environment.

    Super delicious food here at Bacari, I really loved both the ambiance and the service. The menu is tapas-style, so everything is meant to be shared in smaller portions. That said, if you're really hungry, it's easy to rack up the bill since most dishes range from about $15-$20. We ordered three dishes to split between the two of us, and realistically, one more dish would've made us feel fully satisfied, but overall it was a great experience. Here's what we tried: Fried Chicken Sandwich - Delicious and classic, but executed really well. Perfectly fried with balanced flavors. Just very tasty overall. (4.5/5) Glazed Pork Belly - Super tender and surprisingly not overly salty. The portion was a few small pieces, but the greens on top paired nicely. Definitely a popular item, I saw it at multiple tables. (4.5/5) Sea Bass - The clear winner for me. Very unique with so many different flavors, yet everything just works. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. An absolute must-try. (5/5) Overall, I'd definitely come back. We had a Valentine's Day reservation through OpenTable, and I'm glad we did because the place was filling up fast. The indoor seating area is relatively small, but there's a fairly large outdoor section. We spent about $50 total, which I'd consider a light dinner for two. More realistically, expect to spend closer to $30-$40 per person for a fuller meal.

    Our waiter Austin took the BEST care of us, along with his whole team, including Agnes, Mack and Phil. They all made our group's brunch very special. Austin gave us great food recommendations and all were spectacular. The plates were the perfect size to share. Great gluten free options as well. The food was delicious, big kudos to Chef Frankie!! This is my third Bacari location that I have visited and we had a fantastic experience. Can't wait to come back again! 5 stars!

    While shopping at the Americana, we started talking about where to have brunch. The husband brought up Bacari GDL. Although our last experience wasn't great, he was craving their Egg Pizza which then reminded me of how much I love the Lamb Hummus. Ok, fine. As we approached Bacari, we were pleasantly surprised of the changes to the outdoor patio with the large blue industrial umbrellas, heaters and the entire area bordered with real healthy green foliage. The tables and chairs are now consistent with other locations. Lovely! Although we were seated quickly, service started a bit slow -- waiting several minutes for someone to bring water and take our order. But it began to move along better after a third server came aboard. In addition to the Egg Pizza and Lamb Hummus, we ordered the Crab Cake Benedict, Tripoline Pasta then ended with the Bread Pudding. So, so, delicious! We're so glad we gave this location another try. We'll definitely be back more often. :)

    We are Bacari fans! Came here for dinner on the busiest days of the year for them. They did a superb job! We've been to the Silverlake Bacari before and this location doesn't have the ambiance with that tree but it's cute and allows for decent people watching. We ordered Tuscan salad, mujadara, vegan gf pizza and the pork chop. All of it was divine! That pizza was so good and not heavy at all. With the exception of the pork chop, all of it was gfdf. Also, I ordered the bacarito which was spicy and tasty. We also finished with espressos and the gf vegan chocolate cake. Definitely try the cake for dessert. The toffee crumble on top gave it a nice light crunch and texture. Emma was our server and she was on top of it. She was very pleasant and made nice recommendations for us. We were seated outside at one of the center tables. It felt a little like sitting in the aisle seat on a flight. We kept getting bumped by servers and diners walking by. There wasn't any extra room to put our belongings down so it made for an interesting experience eating with objects and jackets on our lap and holding glasses to keep them from tipping when people passed by. I'd avoid sitting there again and you should, too! Overall, I loved the experience - the food is delicious and the staff are competent and friendly. Definitely recommend!

    This is my favorite Bacari location! Geoff is literally the best and was so sweet to us last night. Matched our vibe perfectly and we absolutely loved talking and joking around with him. Not exaggerating - will literally be requesting him as our waiter from here on out! Food: Ordered my usual faves - the lamb hummus (crave this at least weekly), shawarma tacos, steak, and tea. All you need for a cozy, yummy night out.

    Slim to none. It's a very popular spot.

    Yes, but you do know that these are smaller portions (Tapas)? So you're not getting a full filet...it's more like a few slices of the filet. - hope this helps. 😌

    They do, they also have a dog menu ( it is simple though, either burger patty or chicken breast). You have to ask them for the menu. And our waitress was so nice that she brought a bowl of water for our dog.

I thought it would be one of those health smoothies back in the 80s, but instead a frothy hazy light drink with a light grassy aroma and a middling leafy flavor. The flavor was ok, but nothing to write home about. And the shrimp were very small - what my husband and I call "bait" shrimp. Not the large shrimp you usually get at a nice restaurant. Since i was still hungry, I ordered a cobbler. It was fine, but not great. Texture was a bit strange - not traditional. Probably won't come back. The food is just not that interesting. It's like the kind of food you'd eat at a Midwestern buffet restaurant.

From what I could see, they have syrups made in house! Absolutely delicious! We tried the hot cardamom late and the hot banana cookie butter late. Both very good. We tried their loaded crispy potatoes, love boat, and the Orange Cream French Toast Banana Bake (needed more orange). All were very good. They are nice and welcoming as well. Everything sounds and tastes too good to pass up! And the coffee? Superb. Exactly what my brain needs to start the day right. Whether it's a specialty latte or a classic cup, they truly know how to do coffee right. But let's talk about the ambience, the vibe is exactly what Glendale needs. It's warm, welcoming, stylish, and full of positive energy. It's the kind of place you walk into and instantly feel good. And we cannot forget the heart of it all, the amazing owner, Taline. Her bubbly personality takes the experience to a whole other level. Every single time I visit, she personally greets customers with such genuine warmth and positivity. She's energetic, kind, and makes you feel so appreciated. You don't just feel like a customer you feel like family. This was probably the best thing we had at the restaurant. The pork was thick and crispy. The guacamole was delicious. Our kid loved the pork rinds. I got the regular tostada w pork. It was a good size and tasted like a salad w beans. But I typically love tostadas so this was fine! My husband got the burger which was literally just a burger. No frills. lol! We liked the fries. We got a taco plate for our kid. We didn't get the milk that I think was supposed to accompany it but we got the churro dessert which came w two churros, a side of ice cream, and some cream. We thought he was a new employee because he had no clue what he was doing. He had NO personality no interest in general. When he first came to our table he didn't say hello or offer us appetizers or a cocktail. He asked for our dinner order. We ordered the fajita quesadilla and a combo plate. Daniel brought me the wrong taco; the taco was mostly lettuce and cheese very little meat ~ I was surprised because when I ordered this in the past it was excellent and done right (Not his fault tho he did write down my taco order incorrectly). He never came back to our table to check on us. When we were done we asked for a box because we had a lot of food left. He looked at it and brought us a tiny box. What was he thinking?? We asked the bus boy for another and he brought us the correct size. It was hard to get Daniels attention; we tried a few times to flag him down but he wasn't looking at us. We watched him a few different times throughout our time there, to see how he was with the other tables. We came to the conclusion that he looked like a fish out of water. Maybe he was overwhelmed even though the restaurant was a little more than half full last night at 5:30. Then he brought us our check while we were still eating! I told him I wanted to order dessert. Again, he had no clue what he was doing. I suggest the management take a look at this review and address this issue with him. Our experiences here have always been great, been coming for years. We love this place but we would never have Daniel as our server again.
