Rightly, Grimsby Fisheries has won numerous awards. The place is always popular, and often busy, especially at the weekends. Don't let the long queues out you off though, the staff keep things moving quickly and you never have to wait as long as you think. The food is always fresh and well cooked. I would recommend ordering the mini fish and chips (only £4.50) as the portion sizes are massive and very generous indeed, especially for the price. Even if you're starving, don't go for the large portion by yourself! You have been warned! read more

This has got to be the best chippie in Leicester! I drive past at least 3 chippies to get to it and it's always worth it. The food is top notch and always fresh, as it a popular place they are continually cooking fresh stuff. There's an eating area which is serviced by waitress's. It's clean and tidy but could do with a little updating, but don't let that put you off. The amount of food you get for your money is great. They do a mini fish which is more like a regular fish anywhere else. There's also a burger counter too. Beware though, when they are very busy it looks like the que is all the way down the shop (and it's a big chippie) but in reality it is 2 ques and they go down fairly quickly.
