I've been involved in the fitness industry my entire life. I've worked for Gold's Gym, spent years…read morearound gym owners, trainers, and some of the most respected people in the fitness community. In all that time, I have never had an experience remotely close to this one. I don't normally leave reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I feel obligated to warn others--and I sincerely hope the owner takes the time to read this because what happened reflects very poorly on this business. I joined because I was explicitly told I had a 14-day free trial. Fourteen days. Based on that information, I signed the paperwork believing I had two weeks to decide whether this gym was a good fit. Instead, before what I understood to be the end of that trial, I was charged my first bi-weekly membership payment and then hit with a cancellation fee when I chose not to continue. Between the two charges, I was out nearly $100 after only using the facility twice. When I tried to explain that I had signed up based on what your employee told me, I wasn't met with understanding or an attempt to resolve the situation. I spent over an hour going back and forth with the GM, explaining that your staff failed to clearly explain when the trial period actually began, when it ended, or what charges would be triggered. Rather than acknowledging that there may have been a breakdown in communication, I was simply expected to pay. Eventually, I was so exhausted by the conversation that I paid the fee and left. The facility itself only reinforced my decision. The equipment is outdated, the men's locker room was dirty, and the building feels neglected. More importantly, my fiancée didn't even feel comfortable working out unless she was right beside me. That alone was enough for us to know this wasn't the right environment. This review isn't about the money. It's about honesty, transparency, and how customers are treated. If this happened because an employee wasn't properly trained, the owner deserves to know. If this is how memberships are intentionally presented to prospective members, then future customers deserve to know that as well. I have no problem paying for a gym that delivers value and treats people with respect. I do have a problem with being told one thing during the sales process, discovering something completely different after my card is charged, and then spending over an hour arguing about it instead of seeing someone genuinely try to make it right. I hope the owner reads this, reviews exactly how memberships and "trial periods" are being presented by the staff, and decides whether this is really the experience they want representing their business. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I will never recommend this facility to anyone I come across who takes an active lifestyle as an important aspect in their life. Will make sure they avoid 1440 at all cost.

Huge shout out to Bird (and the front desk peeps) for the Sunday afternoon classes today!…read more I had one of the best OTF experiences today. I know it's not always possible to get individual pointers on form or alternate exercises if you're avoiding repeat injuries, so when it does happen it sure makes me extra grateful they took the time to offer suggestions and time to help. I also notice a huge difference in the coaches that are friendly and seem like they WANT to be there, and Bird was definitely personable and intentional and seemed excited/happy to BE THERE. I saw him checking in with so many people there today, not just me. Also the surge times written out on the whiteboard were sooooo helpful with the tread50 template today! Again, one of the best experiences here at OTF Brentwood and at OTF in general. I felt the same way when I had my first class with Fury here at OTF Brentwood. So wonderful! I always appreciate the energy and music and friendliness of Nick too! Thanks so much for making my visits here so great! Love love love

I don't need drama or to deal with someone's insecurities when I'm trying to workout. Also, I think one of the front desk girls need business and customer service training to understand how to treat paying customers. Customers pay salaries and can choose to take their money elsewhere at any moment.

This was my first time attending an Orangetheory class in Nashville, and unfortunately, it was a…read morefrustrating experience from the start. First, the parking situation is a nightmare. The turn-in to the lot is extremely narrow and my Jeep Wrangler barely made it through. If you drive anything larger than a sedan, be warned: it's a very tight squeeze and not easily accessible. Once inside, I had questions about parking and class logistics, but the front desk staff gave me pretty dry, short answers. I had signed up for a "Strength" class, but as someone new to OTF, I didn't realize there were two different formats running simultaneously - one focused on the treadmill, the other on weights. When I was asked where I wanted to go, I said "tread" without understanding that it meant I'd be on it for the entire class (I thought just a starting point/ warm up). About 30 minutes into the class, I realized I may have messed up. I went to the front desk for clarification, but no one was there. So, I approached the coach as quietly and respectfully as possible. I explained I had mistakenly joined the wrong group and asked to switch to the weight room, which still had an open spot (and where I was originally scheduled). The coach immediately dismissed my request, saying, "If I let you do it, I'd have to let everyone do it," even though I clearly didn't understand the class setup and was trying to correct an honest mistake. Also why would everyone else want to switch if they were signed up for treads? She seemed more annoyed than understanding, and didn't offer any real solution. I then asked if I could use the rower instead of running (I have bad knees and don't enjoy running), but again she refused, saying others might want to do the same. The rowers were empty. The only option she gave me was a stationary bike and by that point, I just felt completely dismissed and unwelcome. I come to the gym for the helpful guidance and support from the trainers and staff or else I would just use my apartment gym on my own. I minus well have today.
