I've been involved in the fitness industry my entire life. I've worked for Gold's Gym, spent years…read morearound gym owners, trainers, and some of the most respected people in the fitness community. In all that time, I have never had an experience remotely close to this one. I don't normally leave reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I feel obligated to warn others--and I sincerely hope the owner takes the time to read this because what happened reflects very poorly on this business. I joined because I was explicitly told I had a 14-day free trial. Fourteen days. Based on that information, I signed the paperwork believing I had two weeks to decide whether this gym was a good fit. Instead, before what I understood to be the end of that trial, I was charged my first bi-weekly membership payment and then hit with a cancellation fee when I chose not to continue. Between the two charges, I was out nearly $100 after only using the facility twice. When I tried to explain that I had signed up based on what your employee told me, I wasn't met with understanding or an attempt to resolve the situation. I spent over an hour going back and forth with the GM, explaining that your staff failed to clearly explain when the trial period actually began, when it ended, or what charges would be triggered. Rather than acknowledging that there may have been a breakdown in communication, I was simply expected to pay. Eventually, I was so exhausted by the conversation that I paid the fee and left. The facility itself only reinforced my decision. The equipment is outdated, the men's locker room was dirty, and the building feels neglected. More importantly, my fiancée didn't even feel comfortable working out unless she was right beside me. That alone was enough for us to know this wasn't the right environment. This review isn't about the money. It's about honesty, transparency, and how customers are treated. If this happened because an employee wasn't properly trained, the owner deserves to know. If this is how memberships are intentionally presented to prospective members, then future customers deserve to know that as well. I have no problem paying for a gym that delivers value and treats people with respect. I do have a problem with being told one thing during the sales process, discovering something completely different after my card is charged, and then spending over an hour arguing about it instead of seeing someone genuinely try to make it right. I hope the owner reads this, reviews exactly how memberships and "trial periods" are being presented by the staff, and decides whether this is really the experience they want representing their business. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I will never recommend this facility to anyone I come across who takes an active lifestyle as an important aspect in their life. Will make sure they avoid 1440 at all cost.

They take MONTHS to fix broken machines or just don't fix them at all, no pins for the weights in cable machines, seats with broken pads, sticky Smith Machines that don't work the way they're supposed too, because No one cleans them, smelly urinals and nasty water fountains. Machines have been broken for 3 month +, water fountains have mold and one time a cockroach was taking a dip. They Did keep everything stocked well with supplements, vending pre-workout drinks and meals when they opened, now they don't even stock basic supplements anymore like creatine. One reason I signed up was because of easy access to replenish supplements I would buy each month. When I signed up I liked some of the "new" equipment and they presented all these recovery type options, like Message therapy, cryotherapy, chiropractic adjustment, etc. so I paid for a year up front for the better deal; 8 months later still nothing. It's not all bad, this place has a lot of workout equipment and machines I haven't seen before; It's basically a bodybuilders paradise... But for $70-$80 a month is a joke and absolutely not what you expect in a gym when you pay that price. Don't bring a friend because it's $25 for a day pass, which is absolutely ridiculous. It was $30 - a month when it was NAC for a membership and It's basically the same gym; Redcon just put some lipstick on a pig like a Sleazy used car dealer and gave a bunch of promises they couldn't deliver.

Tells me he's a massage therapist... tries to find out if I'm single, repeatedly asks my name, compliments my kindle... shows me his phone, and then within probably 1 minute of this, asks for my Instagram. Again, all while we are sitting in massage chairs and I feel trapped. I said "yeah, sorry, this is making me a liiiiitttle uncomfortable. I'm gonna go. Thank you." and got out of the massage chair while it was still going, leaving him there. I went to the front desk about it and asked if I could talk with a manager. The employee (a young female) said "Yeah, I know who you're talking about. We've gotten multiple complaints about him.. the thing is, nobody ever does anything about it." I asked if this happens between employees as well, like if he makes the other employees uncomfortable, and she said "well I'm the only girl here so just me..." which made me furious. She told me I could call the manager when he's back in tomorrow, and also provided me with an incident report sheet. I took it to my car, filled it out and brought it back (Jorge was not present). The sheet asked for personal information like my home address and phone number which I did not feel comfortable providing given the circumstances. If you are receiving multiple complaints about an employee harassing female members, that employee should be fired. No ifs / ands / buts. It was completely inappropriate for him to sit next to me in the massage chair and flirt with me & ask for my personal information and I will not return to this location while he is still employed. I feel bad for the female members of this location and the sweet female employee that helped me. This needs to be dealt with. Beyond this - the facility itself was fine. Ya know, it's a planet fitness. You get what you get.
