The atmosphere is amazing, owner is extremely friendly and very helpful and food is to die for. Happened upon this place during my birthday yesterday and we walking in shortly after 9pm. The owner was willing to accommodate us and serve us food even after coming in so late. The NY strip was melt in your mouth delicious and cooked to perfection. The Salsa Corn Street Salad was mouthwatering and I couldn't stop eating it. My Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl, just wow! The tuna was amazingly fresh. My friend ordered the lump crab cake and it was amazing as well.. and the kale ceases salad had the perfect amount of dressing on it. Zero complaints. First dinner I've fully enjoyed eating out in a very long time and lucky me, it was on my birthday! 10/10 recommend. Worth every penny and we will be back!!! read more

Every time I come here, I forget that I'm not in the city. Aside from drinks, Grit & Tonic has begun serving delicious food. I would have never thought to pickle deviled eggs in beet juice, but it absolutely works. My favorite item on the menu, by far, is the Korean pork tacos. Talani, the owner and mastermind of the kitchen and bar, has made it a point to serve each dish with care. Went here on a whim and decided to give it a shot with no expectations and what a pleasant surprise. Very dark and low keep and quaint. Reminds me of something from prohibition era. The mixed drinks are fantastic. I had a gnt2 (gin and tonic). It was amazing. I'm not even a gin guy but I had to try it after the waitress recommended it. Fantastic mixed drink. We ordered a plate of hipster nachos and they were just as great. The decor inside was very cute. It had a shuffle board too. A very great little place in a cute town. I had the pleasure of having a private birthday party at Grit and Tonic. We had a 20s themed party with about 40 people in attendance. Lisa and Talani were so easy to work with and made the day unforgettable! Talani made the food and everyone had nothing but good things to say about it. Some guests had dietary needs I did not know about ahead of time. Talani whipped up some things on the fly to accommodate their needs! Fyi I'm a sucker for the Korean tacos! Lisa was upfront with the bartenders making the most delicious handcrafted cocktails. She even worked with me to set up a special drink menu for the party ahead of time. I love the ambiance and apparently so do a lot of people. This place was slammed tonight, but the staff was super friendly and personable. This was my second time here and pretty much everyone remembered us, which was really sweet of them. I reordered the PBC Old Fashioned (my favorite here), an applejack mule, and not your mommas whiskey sour (they are $10/each). I think the latter two are overpriced for the amount and quality of the liquor used. The kitchen was also closed tonight. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Decided to try this place last minute when we couldn't find a reservation at another restaurant. Actually we called to see if there were any available tables but no one answered. As we were headed to another restaurant, we received a return call from the manager telling us to come in and they would have a table ready.
