Hi, I just want to share about my experience on Saturday July 18. When we walked in, there was a…read morequeue of people, but several open tables. I walked up to the young person at the desk and said hi. We did not have a reservation, but we would like to know where we can sit and she stared at me and said that she needed to check out the other customers and then she would let me know. We stood around for about 15 minutes and my niece was anxious to sit down, so did sit at a table. My husband and I went back up to the front while my niece and sister and her husband were walking around. At that time we walked back up to the front and two people are completely ignoring us while we're standing there. There's been several people walking in behind us and sitting at tables. As we are standing there, one of the people looked over at my niece and points and says what are they doing there? They then proceed to go over to a child and tell them that they cannot sit there. That's when I interrupted and said we've been waiting to see where we can sit we are happy to go anywhere and this person completely ignored us and the other girl at the front said she wasn't sure. We're standing there. People are behind us. People are walking up to the queue and the person that approached my niece ignored all of them until a lady spoke up and said she was here to pick up and then they said oh I thought you were with that party. The customer service was awful. We actually came here to help brighten up the spirits of my sister who had had an awful day. It took an hour just to get her to come out of the house and I did not make a reservation because I was not sure that we would be able to get her motivated to come. We were hoping that this would be a stress-free experience as the sign on the door says and something that would really bring her some joy instead it made her so upset and Feeling unwelcome. I was finally able to ask about some boxes that were sitting on a table to see is there anyway we could move to this two top while the rest of the party stand so that my niece and my sister could paint something small. The girl looked clueless, but said OK sure and went and moved the boxes off the table. I just felt like it would be appropriate to share this with the owner or the leadership team as there were several other patrons that were really ignored and this was not a great experience. Even if we didn't have a reservation acknowledging when we came in and providing us direction, would've been helpful instead of having us stand around while other people sat down and then have a child being approached and told to move.

The staff are friendly and helpful, even if you don't have a single artistic bone in your body. The prices can add up if you bring a few people but the experience and anticipation of the finished product make it worth it. It's in the mall but easily accessible from the movie theater entrance at Sugarloaf Mills. Since I had a guide for my first time it was a less stress experience but the staff offered kind and polite assistance. Wash your hand first, then wander and pick your pottery. There are many pieces to choose from at different price points. Then take your piece to the desk to check-in and choose your paints. From there grab a table and get started painting. Simply drop off and pay at the desk when you're done. Come back and pick up in a week once it's been glazed and fired. I loved the painted pieces that are on display since they are great for inspiration. I went back to pick up my pieces and decided to go for another round. I think I'm hooked!

We were meeting friends here to celebrate a birthday with a few kids. I had never been here before…read moreand only had instructions to meet at a designated time. Walking in, it looks like a small painting studio and wasn't very busy/crowded. I arrived ahead of my friend and the young lady asked if we had a reservation. I explained that I hadn't organized the meet up and was waiting for my friend who had. She then proceeded to lecture me - over and over and over and over (seriously it was more than 10 times) that parties over a certain size needed a reservation. So... I called my friend. She said that there wasn't a reservation because she was informed that they are only required for groups over 10 (we had 4 kids who wanted to paint). When I relayed this to the young lady, the lectures started again and I was told that the number 6 for a reservation. A moot point since we are still only 4. After several more minutes of grief-giving, she told me that I could sit in the back room with our group (it was completely empty). While sitting there quietly waiting, she came again ... more lectures. At one point I told her that her point has been made very clearly and asked if we can just move on. So there we waited for the rest of our group. When my friend arrived, the lectures started again. Doing this painting activity was a special request from the birthday kiddo. It wasn't a party; more like a few hours with a couple of besties. If it weren't by special request, I would have walked out and not looked back. As is - this business is not somewhere I will frequent in the future. The customer service was appallingly bad, downright rude, and extremely unprofessional.

Be aware that some paints are not dishwasher safe. You'll know by confirming with an employee or if there's a specific letter in the paint numbers of your paint tube. You can grab an apron to avoid paint on yourself. If you do get paint on yourself it's able to be washed out but I didn't want to try it. There's one hand wash station where you will also drop off your used paint tiles and paint brushes. Once you get the run down on what to do from an employee you're on your own. There's a display that shows how your paint will look on your pottery depending on if you do 1-3 coats of paint. Time will fly quickly so I painted as much as I could and went over areas a lot. You can have finished pottery shipped to you but it could be more cost-effective to have one person pick up all the pottery if you have multiple and ship it yourself. When you pick up your pottery you'll get to carry it out in the store's new reusable bag. It was very cute. There's not much parking outside but that's the area for you. It's a fun activity to do with a group. Sometimes there might be no conversation going depending on how focused people are on painting but it's also a good time to unwind and turn your brain off.

We settled on All Fired Up in Alpharetta because it was inside but most importantly it was an activity...10 & 7 year olds only have so much of an attention span when hanging out with adults 60+.... I looked online and they suggested reserving a table to make sure you had space BUT the reservation date window was closed online - they want you to do it 3 days in advance (I was 2 days), so I called... They reserved us a table easy peasy. Parking is a little difficult because it's not close to the main Downtown Alpharetta Parking lot - so if you have little kids that aren't easy to contain or don't want to walk far you have to hunt. I parked right off the street (but I got lucky). Give yourself some time to find parking. We walked in and the girl behind the counter was very friendly and super helpful. She explained to my kids what to do in a way that was engaging and they listened. All the ceramics to paint were on the walls grouped by category for the most part. Both of mine painted boxes - $26/$28. My friends painted a light switch and flower - $12/$15 You pick your piece then head to the paint wall and pick up the colors - they suggest no more than 3 colors but it's up to you what and how much. They did say the more "coats of paint" the better it'll look when it's fired. We painted and talked and enjoyed ourselves. Four items came to about $95 which is perfectly fine for an afternoon activity that you then get to keep later. We went on a Wednesday, our pieces will be ready on a Wednesday (so about a week). We had fun. We have a keepsake. And it wasn't blazing hot while we were hanging out with family friends Win win
