I come here often because it's close, but the produce here is a little hit or miss. Some good deals every now and then, but you definitely don't want to buy the reduced price stuff, since they're about a day from spoiling. Even the "fresh" produce can be a little suspicious, like this bag of oranges hiding an extremely moldy one. Otherwise, the frozen section has some nice finds at low prices. read more

Grocery Outlet feels a little different than it did a few years ago. Things aren't quite as cheap as they used to be, although there's usually a doorstopper or two a week. Just look for their giant bargain bins at the front of the store. You can definitely still score a good deal if you know where to look. I don't recommend anything from the fresh produce section, and especially not anything reduced for quick sale (stuff goes bad after literally a night in the fridge if it's not already gone bad already), but the frozen, refrigerated, and pantry sections are still awesome. One thing I find really disappointing is that the coupons are a lot worse now. They used to be like $5 off $35 or $3 off 25, now they're like $3 off $75 and they expire same day too. They are so worthless I'm about to uninstall the app. read more

I've shopped here since it opened. I kinda view it as a Pic N' Save of food (if anyone knows that reference). Some deals are always awesome. Some are "let's try it out." I personally love the "quick sale" coupons on meat. Depending on the cut, I use them for chili or beef jerky. I love the "quick sale" coupon on the salad packs. Don't get me wrong- those will go bad the next day. I'm more than happy to have an all I can eat salad night. Currently, my son is learning to use the microwave. I found grilled cheese, made by Lunchables. Perfect for my son! I came back and bought 2 more boxes. They are frozen, so they will keep and it gives my son a chance to feel independent without the stove being involved. read more

As a lover of grocery outlet bargain markets, I love checking see what vegan options are available at different store locations. Before entering the store, I noticed signage on the front door letting people know that masks are required to be worn to enter the store. Upon entering the store, I was warmly greeted by a store employee and noticed a standing hand sanitizer dispenser immediately by the entrance. As I walked around the store, I was happy to notice a wide selection of vegan cheeses as well as my favorite vegan dip of hummus. The frozen food section was disappointing in that it had a few vegan frozen food options but a lot of vegan burger options. In the end, I did end up buying some vegan nacho cheese chips made with hemp, mocha chocolate covered chickpeas, and free dried strawberries and bananas. Although this location didn't have the variety of vegan foods I've seen at other grocery outlet bargain market locations, I do appreciate that at least they had some items available me to purchase. read more

I use to love coming to this store but lately everyone has had attitude. I purchased a water bottle when we brought it home and was able to finally use it a day later and it was broken. I took it back to get it exchanged and they told me I couldn't because the cashier never gave me a receipt, so If I didn't put my phone number in or have a receipt they never gave me I was out of luck this place has gone down hill. read more

Check out was a little off today. The cashier didn't say anything when he was done, like my total. He didn't ask me if I needed bags. I brought my own and when I checked the receipt at home, he had charged me for MY OWN bags. He also asked if I wanted my receipt-- lemme tell you something: I will always want my receipt for the amount of money I spend on groceries for my family. That shouldn't even be a question at this store. There's a lot of room for improvement with this associate who's on register 1 this afternoon. I love this GBO. I'm a regular here and know most of the female cashiers who are pleasant and always engaging in conversation with me whenever I come in. The store offers great deals on a lot of their products, I favor the Asian and organic section. Their produce is pretty good as well. The store is consistently clean and there's a huge parking lot that's shared with the rest of the shopping center. I read some of the negative reviews on here and my response to the one about cashiers having "grumpy" looks on their faces-- not everyone is consistently happy or smiles everyday. That is seriously an unrealistic expectation, and you might have caught that person on a bad day. Everyone has bad days. Period. So I recommend giving this spot a 2nd try. read more

I am very fortunate to live within walking distance of the outlet. Everything is always clean, tidy and the have just the perfect variety of produce essentials to make a good amount of dishes. I had one visit where my roommate started feeling flu-ish. So I walked to the market to see if I could find bottled honey and lemon. When I was in check out. I let the gentleman know at the register I was unable to locate the honey. The associate doing bagging overheard and she let me know if I waited a few moments, she could get a bottle for me. Her courtesy and professionalism was greatly appreciated. All of the staff is extremely helpful and very polite. I feel very comfortable going back each time and hopefully they are ok with me dancing around the store while I shop. read more

I LOVE this grocery store!!! Everyone is friendly and kind! The food is affordable and delicious! I can not believe how much money I save on my grocery bills! The prices on all the organic produce is amazing. I just want to say thank you for all your hard work and great products! I shop here all the time. Let me start off by saying why do the people working at the cash register look so grumpy?! Every single time u walk in to this store it's as if they are bothered to see customers. For the most part store is clean organized well stocked. If u can just keep those cashiers from looking angry n gossiping about one another, (in front of customers) it would be a more pleasant environment, as that is very unprofessional. And it seems to be the youthful ones that do it openly. out of the whole store I've interacted with everyone at some point or another and the only one who seems to be consistent is a sweet lady by the name of Yvette or Yvonne. I like this little store. This is my go to store now. When I am making dinner or about to make dinner and check if I have everything I need, I notice I don't have an item like lettuce or limes I hurry down to the grocery bargain outlet where I am in there and out of there don't have to mess with lines like staters or pay their mark up prices. They always have new items in. I just make sure I check the dates on the packaging. Some things they have went bad or are going bad in next few days, but also have things that don't go bad until next year so just keep that in kind check the expiration dates. The employees and owners are also friendly. I don't know why the ratings are so bad for this store they should not be. If you have not been here yet I would definitely check it out. read more

I live nearby and so I've been waiting for the opportunity to pop in; it was a little busy for a Friday, which was to be expected. I'll jump right into it: One major thing I noticed: there were a lot of associates on the sales floor, and I didn't encounter a rude one, which was great! They were all approachable and ready to answer whatever questions nearby customers had. Even my cashier (whom I believe is named Carolyn) was friendly and polite. Customer service is wonderful, and if it remains this way, I have no doubt that this place will thrive! Now, I'm personally (and openly) obsessed with ALDI, so that could be the reason for why I happened to inwardly compare the two during my entire trip here. Unfortunately, the Grocery Outlet comes up short for the mere reason that although there's plenty of plant-based protein available for shakes, the plant-based options for actual meals aren't plentiful like they are at ALDI (I searched for plant-based patties, dairy-free cheeses, and even dairy-free ice cream, but came up empty-handed; it is possible I overlooked them, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). I was sure that because of the demand for more plant-based meats/cheeses (which are even offered at Staters now), that there would be plenty of options here too! I'm disappointed in that aspect to say the least. However, though this business isn't as cheap as ALDI, it is still less expensive than Staters. With that being said, I will definitely come back because it's convenient for me + it's cheaper than Staters. This store is great, nonetheless; it's extremely clean and items are neat and fully stocked. Their prices on bulk products are beyond reasonable and not to mention they have crazy good deals on their reusable water bottles! Customer service: 10/10. Overall rating: a solid 7/10. read more

This is the ONLY supermarket I've been to that charges EBT customers for bags! We are already poor and cannot even afford food and you want to charge for your plastic bags? So I wanted to leave another review since Covid 19 outbreak. I have been so disappointed with Grocery Outlet store lately, because they have nothing I need in stock I can find what I need believe it or not at 99cent only store I'm talking about basic necessities how come 99cents stores can carry eggs, milk, toilet paper, tissue paper etc... and Grocery outlet can't?. When Grocery outlet store finally carried eggs in stock they were ridiculously marked up along with many other items I couldn't believe it, and their weekly add on sale items are a joke. Needless to say I'm never going back to Grocery outlet in Grand Terrace I'd rather go anywhere else but that store. In closing I understand what has been happening since the outbreak, but what got me really upset was the price gouging on essential items that's what got me upset and goes to show how the owners take advantage of the customers in time of need I will definitely not be going back. read more

I love this store!!! It's now my favorite and so lucky it's so close to me. Love how I can find most of the items I used to by at thrive market it's usually cheaper at grocery outlet. The only thing is that sometimes they just don't bring the same items back and I can't find them anywhere else. :-/ so when I find good deals I always stock haha love it for the cheese options, oils, matcha and all organic products and condiments they have. read more

I am so excited to have a grocery outlet local.. I am even more excited how helpful every worker is. They really go above for the customer. Because of Covid many things are running low. I needed aluminum foil and the shelf was out... I was bummed because I didn't want to go to another store. I asked a clerk for help who was coming from the back room. She immediately offered to grab one from the back for me. I love that. The thing is, you don't realize how often workers turn you down to check the back for items at many competitors stores. Very very disappointed in seeing the checker not considering others by wearing a mask. He was told he didn't have to by the company that is still very poor judgement as well. If we are all in this together then let's protect one another until we have this under control. Wearing gloves doesn't help any of us and he was, which is hilarious because he didn't remove them after each customer which is what needs to happen if your going to use gloves. It makes no sense checking with the gloves you may as well not wear any at all and support the total not wearing gloves or mask. read more

Market has the attractive gimmick of selling brand products cheaper than others. They won't always stock exactly what you might want at that time but the shelves shuffle every couple weeks and I enjoy coming in for a couple minutes. It's also helpful that the checkouts typically are short, sweet, and simple. Highly recommend. read more

I frequent this store daily, it's my go to grocery store. I had never encountered such terrible service before. Today I went in and did my normal shopping. I tried to purchase a plant and apparently it was "miss priced" ALL the plants in the section were mispriced. There wasn't even a price tag with the correct description or price. Not only did they not honor the price displayed, but the produce clerk lied and accused me of moving a tag. I asked for them to review the cameras, which they refused and said unfortunately if I didn't want to purchase it for THE PRICE NOT LISTED, they could not honor the price and take a $2 dollar loss. WOW! terrible treatment for a customer who they know frequents they're market daily. It took 2 managers and a produce worker to come up the conclusion that the customer is wrong. When I told the manager I would no longer frequent her store. She took the plant and walked away. What happen to customer service? What happen to the customer's always right. read more

Let's start with the name. Generally you would associate "bargain" and "outlet" with lower prices on the same brand available elsewhere. That's not the case. What they offer is a lot of lower quality off brand items. And they really ain't all that much cheaper. And as far as selection, there's not. It looks like their buyer went shopping at the wholesale discount warehouse and got a deal on all the oddball and expired (or nearly expired) items that no one else wanted. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't go to a grocery store to buy crap at full price just because the employees are courteous. I will not be going back, but to each their own. read more
