Its a long one but worth it! I stopped into my local ross store that I hadn't been to in a few months and browsed around before going to the toy aisle with my kids when i see a few mystery keychain dolls opened I checked to see if the dolls were inside and they luckily were but probably missing the little accessories to the dolls i see one have a reduced tag that had been torn and the other didn't so i thought my daughter and I could have one and took them both up to checkout were I was greeted with some of the most rude customer service ive ever had at this store! The cashier says there regular price even tho clearly there is a reduced price tag and then proceeds to walkie her manager were then she says her manager sayd the same thing so i told her id like to speak with a manager she called one over were i waited 15 minutes for one and when she came up it was the most untrained right out of high school manager who began with her BS story of how she was the one herself who reduced the keychain and it was only 10% (which it basically jist the tax) and I was still willing to buy them when thankfully i pull up the sticker and see a faint reduced price i didnt notice before hand and its much less than 10% I show her and she rings me up for that price when i tell her to do the second one for that price she says no. I understand there are people out there doing this for a living and opening them but i just happen to see them and just wanted to buy 2 for my daughter and I, the horrible part is the way the manager was assuming I opened them ive worked in retail for years and even at this exact STORE so for the untrained manager SANDY discriminating me and trying the make me feel less than you need to give your guests the benefit of the doubt unless PROVEN otherwise. My wife was discriminated against a week before Xmas and was accused of stealing. Mind you she was wearing fitting clothing with only accusations. This takes a huge impact when confronted with no facts or proof and no accountability on the manager side. Horrible customer service and very long lines. The staff was super disrespectful and followed my partner and I from the time we entered until the time we exited they made us feel so uncomfortable and didn't offer to help us find anything while following us I also took videos of these ladies because I don't believe that is good cx service especially when we spent nearly 200 dollars in this store we believe that these ladies need a lesson in cx service until they got into an argument accusing another cx at the register while he was paying for his items and he dropped money on the way out and instead of letting him know they decided to take it. Came to get a couple things and see what Ross had to offer. I was consistently being watched and the employees made sure I knew they were watching me. Another person came in and he had his hoodie on, and the employees stood at the end of the aisle watching him throughout the store. When I got to the register the employees were complaining about bad customer interactions. I understand having issues w/ theft, but there's no need to be disrespectful towards paying customers. Gossip during your lunch or break, but not during the time you're attending the register. Very unprofessional and reflective of the management. Found some nice things @ this Ross. Awesome selection of perfumes for men and women. Shoes not a huge selection. Men's shrits Xl or above very few to choose from slim pickings. Also mens pants and shorts Xl or above very slim pickings. Women's clothing from small to plus size has a nice selection. Children clothing and shoes not a great selection at all. Dulce really needs to get off her high horse. I appreciate a manager trying to run a tight shift but don't go around treating customers like we're on payroll. I was in what I thought was the line for purchases when Dulce yelled from behind the desk, "be ready with your receipts for returns." As this didn't concern me, I went back to looking at the items I had in my cart when I heard her say "you're in the line for returns" I looked up, looked around.... & to my dismay... I was the ONLY person in line! For both returns and purchase. Not only that but there was ONLY one register open. Dulce girl... have a seat, we all know you missed your job but you're really doing the most. The cashier was very pleasant, I won't post her name as she rolled her eyes every time dulce commanded something. Wouldn't want to throw a good employee under the bus. read more

Bought a bag two days back from Ross in Colorado and flown to California. While using the bag I realized it was hard to recognize it's color and heavier than expected so decided to return it. I took the the receipt and went to this store. The employee asked me first for the tag. At the first I forgot that I kept it inside the bag. She said that she can't return it without the tag. When I found the tag and gave it to her she said that the bag is too "dirty" and she can't return it ! The bag wasn't dirty !!! Barely some dust that I was able to wipe in my hand ( that if any dust was there ) as I used the bag once only !!. It was clear that she's making up any reason not to return the bag. I was talking to her so politely but she was not even looking at me and said that I can go and try another Ross to return the item ! I told her that all Ross stores are belongs to one company and have the same return policy and I'm here at my local Ross store next to my house so why should I go to another store. she refused and called the next customer while I'm still standing in front of her. I asked for the manager. her manager " Ariel" came and barely looked at the item and said yes the bag is dirty and We will not return it . It was clear that he is agreeing with her whatever is it. While that employee ( Dulce) was laughing at me with no reasons .. I asked her why you are laughing as no reason is there to laugh at a customer at this situation. She said : ( I can laugh ) . I told her that I'm afraid that you can't laugh at a customer while you are on duty specially that the situation is tensioned like this . She didn't bothered and kept it laughing ! I found this insulting specially there was some customers standing and watching this. I looked at her manager and I told him is that normal to laugh at the customers like this? He said I will talk to her . I asked for the store manager and they provided me with her contact number as she wasn't there. I left the store and felt bad the most for the treatment that I have received from the employee and from the manager who was just watching his team disrespecting the clients .. I went to another Ross store and they accepted to return the item with no single question. They just asked for the receipt and the tag and proceeded the return with a smile and the employee was so polite . How would the employee to create her own policy apart of the company policy and treat the customers like this with disrespect ?!! Without a doubt, this location has a good selection of products. However, the dressing room older lady has no customer service at all. Most of the time, when she is in that area I'll rather just go home and not try anything. As she expects customers to put clothes back correctly in the hanger. Also, if your trying on many items she goes on to saying how we should put the clothes back. As she'll have to many items to put back! In my opinion, that's her job if she doesn't like it then she shouldn't be working retail or the dressing room. read more

Some co-workers and I were talking one night about some bargains regarding purses. Ross came up. Specifically this Ross location came up. A couple co-workers notified me that this is the cleanest and most organized Ross they have been to. They also said it was pretty big too. Anyway, so one day, I was bored and decided to check it out. I love spontaneous trips driving to places and just browsing through stores. My co-workers were right. It was pretty clean and organized compared to some other locations. I've been to some that were just disastrous! Other than that I did find a couple of major steals!! Nine West pumps that usually go for $80 for $20 and two Nine West purses. The purses usually go for $70 and I got one for $23 and the other was marked down to $17, What a steal! The staff were friendly and they had enough to keep the lines moving so I didn't really have a major wait in line. Those Ross lines can get pretty crazy sometimes. I had some time to spare and walked in to Ross and found the store nearly empty. Went to the men section and found a khaki docker for 11.99 . Well there were other colors but I wanted to try this out. Checked out and there was no waiting because this was a Tuesday I go a additional 10% off and just paid about $10 for the cotton trouser. Ross is usually a "hit or miss" type of place. I prefer TJ MAX but this was more convenient. This location is a little bit more organized than others and has a little more variety than I was expecting. I was surprised to see my favorite hairspray was there ... and on sale! Yay! Today must have been a fast day for the cashiers.. I only had to wait twenty minutes in line to check out. Not bad, considering that in the past I have waited in line for up to an hour because of this hairspray! It's a rare finding at a Ross! The cashier was friendly but only because she had to be. So me and my daughter went shopping and I was looking at jewelry boxes and there was a all around mirrors I opened it and and cut my finger. Slice sideways. I went to ask for bandaids bcuz it was bleeding alot. They didn't have alcohol swabs no bandaids they taped around with scotch tape. He insisted writing report. So i did they called me and I said cut was dead might need stitching. She asked to call her when I go to dr. So I called her and I had to get a tetanus shot and got bandaged it's healing inside out. I also told her about no first aid kit at that store. She said ok thank you... Why did I have to call her back if there was nothing done! Not even offered to pay for dr visits.... I've always wondered why Ross is such a messy place. I avoid going here because it gives me a headached that their products are just scattered everywhere us disarray. And to be fair its caused by uncaring customers who just leave anything, anywhere. However, nearby Marshall's and TJ Max is always clean and organized and they share the same kind of shoppers. I realized Marshall's and TJ Max constantly have staff that goes around the store putting items back and fixing their racks and making sure shoppers are assisted in locating merchandise. We bought one of those red copper pans that is as seen on tv. It's not supposed to stick and no oil required. At first the cashier and some guy next to her told us that we couldn't return it becaise we used it... ...i asked how are we supposed to know that it didn't work until we used it? They responded with the usual store policy crap. After speaking to a manager for less than 2 seconds, they did the return. Melissa wasn't super friendly, but perhaps she was just trying to get the return done quickly. She was very efficient. I've been to this Ross many times in the last decade. My family and myself have shopped at all times of the day. The most recent visit was disappointing. I don't like to nag about things that sometimes can't be changed, but when I'm given excuses for bad decisions I ultimately choose not to return. The last visit was on September 15, 2018. After browsing the knitted shirts, I found 8 I wanted to buy; I don't have a lot of time to spare during the week; I'm a full time student and full time worker. It was 10:59 when I asked an associate to use the changing room. She said it was closed. I replied okay, and walked away confused. I put the shirts on a cart and left them behind. I picked up a pair of shoes for my niece; I had to buy something so I could get a receipt to make a complaint. As I was checking out, I asked her why the dressing room was close; she replied that it closes when the store closes, but there's only one associate on the floor and it's very messy, so they decided to close it to clean the store. There's an issue with that. There's actually two associates and a loss prevention associate on the floor. She's the cashier, so I'm guessing she doesn't consider herself to be on the floor; however, when I talked to her before, she was in the floor with the other associate cleaning the store. That's disappointing. She lied and smiled as she did. I don't like confrontation; I choose to never go back. I will go directly to the department store, and to the factory store of the brands I seek. She was rude to begin with, didn't smile nor asked asked how was our day, instead she just had grumpy face and was rushing. Rude face I could deal with but ringing an item twice and had me check the receipt twice because she didn't think she made a mistake was rude. The cashier had rung the item already and my mom in law was going to take it but she told her in Spanish, I still need to ring it up, but little did she know she had already rung it up in the very beginning,so we had to u-turn and come back.
