There were a variety of other offerings including green apple-flavored licorice, Sour Patch Kids freezer pops (like Otter pops), and pool flotation noodles. I was impressed with the wide array of offerings. The portions offered for $1.25 are also not too much either. The Sour Patch Kids freezer pops are hardening in the freezer as I write this review. The store was not grimy and for the most part was tidy. The workers were helpful and maintained upbeat temperaments even when the check-out line got a little long.

The building is old, and they need to redo or install some new air conditioning. It was hot inside the store. There was not a lot of air flow. The store is set up like the other Diaso stores. For those not familiar with the Diaso stores, it's like the Dollar Stores here but slightly higher in price (lowest item is price at $1.75) and better in quality. Look for their pricing label to determine what your item cost. Most items are in Japanese currencies. There are lots of sanrio items and super cute plushies that your teen or kid will want. They range from $3 to a max of $12. It's a great deal for the plushies. You can find items for every room in your house: school supplies, makeup, bathroom stuff, kitchen supplies, etc. They also carry Asian snacks and drinks, often not found in your local stores. We came on the Opening Day. I was surprised how long the line was when we arrived 30 minutes before they opened. I don't imagine it will be on normal days. Bellingham, you have another options for your thrifty shoppers. Let's hope the hype lives on after the first few weeks. It's nice to have Diaso closer to home.

I know Dollarama stores sometimes get a bad rap since not everything is $1. That's okay with me…read morebecause this store has many products that are worth way more than that and I'm willing to spend a little more for great quality items. I visited this location recently in search of a pencil sharpener and some toiletries, and ended up checking out with some really neat other necessities (or things I didn't know I needed until I saw them!) I was able to get 10 sheet protectors for $1, instant laminating sheets 3 for $1, super glue gel in a container to keep it from drying out, and a few other choice items. They had a great crafting section full of acrylic paint, yarns, and projects for kids and adults alike. The pencil sharpeners I found here were the only thing I wouldn't recommend. The caps wouldn't stay on and they broke the pencil tips faster than they could sharpen - other than these this spot is ideal for everyday needs. Having never been to a Dollarama prior to this one, I didn't have a scale of comparison for it. However, this location has great inventory and pretty clean aisles. I was in here on a day when two screaming children were running around the store - it was annoying that I had to stop them as they were rounding the bend with large plastic swords raised to say "hey kids, that's not a good idea. Put those down when you're running...or stop running actually." This has less to do with the store than with the people in the store, so parents who bring their kids in, this is really a message for you! And if a staff member could remind kids not to play with the toys before they are purchased that might be helpful as well. Aside from the screaming fiasco, I was able to find everything I needed for the weekend here and look forward to returning in the future.

The more you buy the better the deal. Other than the tobacco they've got your typical dollar store items, toys, dishes, cleaning stuff etc which is convenient. Apparently they also have the best kratom around. I've never used that stuff, but heard have heard Ali talk to many happy customers about it.
