The only complaint would be, if a member, not always easy to get a time/date in particular. The upside is, when you can't, you can return on a later date typically, for a complementary cheese board to accompany your tastings.

They focus on Pinot Noir, but have other varietals as well which I really enjoyed their Chardonnay. After our tasting we upgraded our club membership as we really enjoy the quality wines that they are producing. We joined before they got recognition from major wine publications and they continue to impress me. The service is great as well. It's been three years since our last visit, and the transformation after their renovation is stunning. Modern comfort meets vineyard charm. We enjoyed the outdoor deck overlooking the valley, sipping through some of the best Pinot in the region, including their 30-year anniversary bottle, which absolutely delivered. Our tour guide aka server Arnom was a highlight of our visit. Ask for Arnom, he makes wine feel like a story, not just a pour. His enthusiasm, deep knowledge, and perfect pacing made every tasting memorable. The cave system is a must-see, and the indoor tasting room feels like your own secret. So when I go limping in and ask the man behind the counter if he can recycle my glass bottle he says yes he can but then as I approach him he tells me I can just go ahead and take it outside to the white bin. From this interaction I left the tasting room and the winery host and that the winery host with the strong sensation of sour grapes. We timed it perfectly -- a gorgeous sunny Monday and the place wasn't too crowded. We sat on their comfortable patio watching their pride flag proudly flapping in the sunny skies. We ordered a wine flight and our server, Teniya was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about their wines and the countless attributes that go into winemaking. There were no tastings available, but given the weather we had just driven through to get there, and bc my friend is a certified somm with the CMS, we decided simply to create our own tasting experience from the single pour options made available. Other reviewers have also mentioned it, but when we sought input from the staff to make our initial wine selections, our experience of service was underwhelming. It was frankly a little disappointing given the status and caliber of the house. Gratefully we met Ben who was solidly helpful; he appreciative of our Quest to create a meaningful tasting experience for ourselves, even if we had not been able to score an appointment with a venue host. He was very knowledgeable and spoke to with us without condescension, intelligently answering our questions about the vineyards, wine making processes, and house history. With his help we also learned about some excellent options for dining in the area. Ben poured our selection of four wines and we chose to take the glasses outside on the patio as the rain had stopped. We helped another couple with photos they were trying to take, and then were able to film a few tasting clips against the picturesque back drop of the vineyards. We ordered a serving of the gougères, which came out warm and were delicious. I picked up a bottle of the Zeraphine Pinot Noir for the friend who had recommended the winery, and Mac picked up three bottles including the estate chardonnay, to return to Canada with. Having lived in california and experienced a lot of what Napa and Sonoma have to offer tasting wise this experience in my opinion far surpasses any other. The drive from Portland to Dundee early on a Saturday was pleasant but VERY foggy. Apparently it is always foggy in the mornings and the evenings so be prepared to take it slower than usual. We passed a sports car being towed out of a ditch on the way. When we arrived we were greeted by the valet and brought into the tasting room by the host. The building was a large open area industrial barn like structure lined with barrels of wine and lit candles. Each party had their own tasting table sections off my walls of wine barrels. The temp inside was as chilly as it was outside so be prepared to wear a sweater or your jacket. Our sommelier Casey was friendly and welcoming. We spent about 2 hours tasty and enjoying good conversation about their wines and the area. I have included pics of everything we enjoyed. Needless to say we will be going back to do their full lunch tasting the next chance we get. Highly recommend for a date or a small party. Six-8 people could fit in each area easily.
