But in order to prevent someone from being victimized by these incompetent thieves, I feel I had no choice. The entire surreal experience with Roy Lester and his secretary Krista, is detailed in the email below. Which was never responded to. After 6 months, Roy finally got on the phone today. He could not defend one iota of what him and his secretary did, only said take whatever actions you like. The pic is from the retainer. To avoid being repetitive, everything is outlined below. After siting with a trustee today, I learned every email & second spent with the secretary, was a complete waste of time. 75% of our email exchange was unnecessary. The atty completed & forwarded the ENTIRE completed schedule to be submitted in 90 minutes. What they did is an utter disgrace, and beyond incompetent. I will update the review with the complaints to the bar once filed! EMAIL SENT TO KRISTA 2/4/2025 I returned today to 2 judgements filed against us. As irate as I am, I'm going to be as civil about it as possible. I need a check for $2943.75 immediately to file with an attorney, which ironically I never had access to at your law firm. This could've been filed several times over, but wasn't due to total incompetence and neglect. You refused to ever speak to me, and insisted we only communicate in a never ending email chain filled with unnecessary bullshit. After sitting with an atty for 15 minutes, I had a complete understanding of the entire process, including income calculations, exemptions, requirements, etc. If that service was provided by you, this would've been filed, even discharged months ago. He won't even accept your schedule D, explaining it takes less than a half hour to complete data entry, your only job. Which you failed to include the primary source of income we discussed in detail at our only office visit. You canceled the only appt we had to meet, saying you needed every piece of paper before seeing me. Phone calls, meetings not permitted, only more EMAILS! What I learned, & the courses of actions I will take are as follows: As far as I know you are a secretary! Or as you sign a branch manager! Can you please confirm you're at least a paralegal?? Cause based on the retainer agreement, it includes hourly rates for attys, partners, associates, law clerks, and paralegals! No rates or fees for secretaries or branch managers! Another item in the retainer is monthly billing! So we know all about the work, or lack of being done. Something every law firm provides. In our 150 emails over 5 months that accomplished 30 minutes work, I don't see one invoice!! Why is that? Ironically that would be the one thing you are supposed to do. Instead you expressed the desire to fire me, for finally speaking up & cc'ing Roy. The one of two times I reached out to him, only to be ignored. Instead you told me you wished you could pass me off to someone else in the office, but there was no one else. Maybe no other secretaries, but there must be attys or people with law experience. You then proceed to tell me we can pick up a refund check, conveniently omitting an amount, while never providing a stmt, knowing my wife was picking it up. With a nasty attitude you drop it in front of her face saying sign here. Then tell me she's responsible to read it! Did you suggest she reads what she's signing? Or give her the opportunity to do so?? No you didn't! Unethical and deceptive! The actions I will take if not refunded are: Filing a complaint with grievance committee Filing a complaint with the US trustee Posting a detailed review on social media Suing you for any judgements that are successfully obtained by creditors. I'll be out of town through Friday. If my wife can pick up the check, you can drop another sign here in front of her that she won't read. Relieving the firm from any liability, and prohibiting me from taking any of the above actions.
