It has been difficult figuring out how to explain to groomers what we want. Pomeranians require special care as damaging their undercoat can cause serious skin issues. Wylie, the owner, greeted us and spent time explaining options that demonstrated her knowledge of Pomeranian grooming. While I was a bit conservative on Bandit's first visit, he came out gorgeous and I understand better now how he should be cut. Pomeranian owners, run from any groomer that greets you asking if you want to shave your baby to make him look like a stuffed animal. Not saying a teddy bear or lion cut is bad if that's your thing, but beware of extreme styling that damages the undercoat.
