She is always treated well when she stays and always comes back smelling great and looking wonderful when we choose to groom. They treat Ruka like she's part of the family. I take my Pom-Pug dog here for grooming and boarding. They do a wonderful job grooming him. Not only do they do a great job but they are affordable. When we have to go out of town, we leave him there for boarding. I trust them completely. The first time we left him for boarding, they knew we were extremely nervous about leaving him. They were great and understanding when i called several times to check on him. They even text me pics of him playing with his friends. I highly recommend them. read more

I took my adorable, beautiful, one-of-a-kind black lab puppy here Christmas Eve's eve. I called the day before to check if they could squeeze her in for a simple groom (the nails, the ears, and the bath). The woman I talked to said, "Sure, of course. Bring her in at 12:30." I was absolutely elated that they were able to fit her in the schedule in such a short amount of time. Little did I know... more than SIX and a HALF hours later, sweet lovely was "finished". She was still wet, and seemed very on edge. When I picked her up, I mentioned something about her coat still being wet from an incomplete drying job, to which I got "it's late". To me, this is unacceptable for the price they charge for grooming. I will never take my puppy back here again when I visit Enid. I understand that I called during a very busy year, but if they didn't have the time to groom my dog, they should have told me instead of charging me for a half-assed cleaning. No dog should be forced to sit in a crate for that long waiting to be cleaned. I would have been much less upset with the honest truth rather than the terrible service my puppy and I received. read more

Gotta give this place a tiny shoutout... they carry more brands of dog food than Petsense, including Innova and Evo on the cheap. They also have a ton of cute leashes and collars as well as dog medicines and shampoos. They also sell fish and some reptile stuff I think. BUT- I took Elvis the Dog (ALL TEN EFFING POUNDS OF HIM) here to get him a quick bath and a nail trim, no hair cutting... and they charged me $24. I would pay $18 for the same thing in Dallas. DALLAS. For serious, I hate to see how much they would charge the lady that always brings her obese little dog to the dogpark to "workout". read more

After moving back to Enid I started taking my 3 Yorkies to the Groom Closet because my daughter was taking her Yorkie and Miniature Schnauzer there. Big mistake! The last time my Yokies were there (less than 2 weeks ago) ALL 3 of them got kennel cough and they were given their Bordetella back in August. Then I find out my daughter's 2 dogs also got it after getting groomed. I've been fighting this crap with our babies now for 9 days!! Never again will I take my dogs to this filthy place! read more

I have been taking my cavaliers to the Groom Closet for years. My dogs are show dogs and I am very particular about how they are groomed. Brandi & Loren (sp?) have always done a superb job for me including grooming them for shows. They even meet me outside to help bring the dogs inside. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LACK OF COMMUNICATION I recently had my australian shepherd groomed at the Groom Closet. Due to poor experiences in the past, I was very specific in my instructions regarding my dog's haircut. I spent 10 minutes with the groomer before dropping him off describing exactly how I wanted my dog's hair to be trimmed. My biggest concern was having it cut too short, therefore, I spent extra time describing to the groomer how I wanted my dog to be scissor trimmed in certain areas to maintain his normal Aussie appearance. She said she understood my requests, and I trusted her with the results. Upon picking my dog up, I was shocked at the shaved length of his hair over his entire body. I have had his hair trimmed before, and it was at least 2 inches longer than what was done at the Groom Closet. Aussie's have longer hair for a reason. With his hair being only 1/4 of an inch now, he will certainly get sunburned outside. For a groomer having been in business for 35 years, I expected more knowledge regarding haircuts for specific breeds. I felt my concern regarding his hair length prior to his trim was very specific, and am unsure why the groomer took it to the extreme. Personally, I have worked in the customer service industry my entire career. When a customer is not satisfied with a service, everything is taken into account and a refund is indicated for complete dissatisfaction. The Groom Closet was very uncooperative in considering issuing a refund at all. Finally, after a respectful yet firm conversation with the owners regarding their lack of communication with me, they reluctantly refunded 30% and said I was never allowed back in their business. My biggest issue with their business practice is a lack of communication with their customers. The Groom Closet had two contact numbers, and did not contact either of them prior to his shave. The Groom Closet stated they were questioning how short to cut my dogs hair because of his double coat, and proceeded with their best judgement. Considering my huge concern regarding the length of his hair at the outcome of the trim, WHY WAS I NOT CONTACTED?? The end result was a shave of his entire body which was the very last thing I wanted. This was well communicated to the actual groomer and was not taken into account during his visit. The poor customer service and lack of meeting my specific voiced concerns is unacceptable. With my complete dissatisfaction, an entire refund should have been a reasonable solution considering my diligent efforts in communicating with them prior to my dog's appointment. read more

I boarded my Aussie for two weeks, and was shocked at the condition she was in when I picked her up. First, she was limping, she very noticeably had lost weight, lost clumps of hair, and was very dirty. Not just muddy paws, but appeared like she had urine soaked, stained paws. She was glad to see me, but took at least 3 days to get back to her normal self. The employee I talked with seemed unconcerned. The owner at least called back, but politely implied it was my dog's fault--maybe for being a high spirited Aussie?? Very disappointing. I'd say, have someone watch your pet at your home if at all possible. Liz M. read more

I'm not a dog owner, so I can't comment on any of their grooming practices, but this is without a doubt the best place in Enid to buy salt water fish. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. He is always willing to hold the fish he buys for a couple weeks to make sure they are healthy, disease free, and eating before selling them. I've purchased three fish and two shrimp here and they'e all been very healthy and robust. Haven't had any problems with them (unlike the fish purchased from other stores in town). Furthermore, their live rock is excellent and free of nuisance algae and aiptasia. Also, they have a very wide selection of frozen foods, medicines, and aquarium equipment. My go to place for salt water fish! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I have a one year old German shepherd(Duke)He is a Daddy's boy, our baby .Duke has never been away from us much less boarded or taken to doggy daycare away from us for hours. We tried out doggy daycare and Joni the manager/owner I believe, was so awesome. I expressed my concerns of worry & she sent me pictures through out the day and kept in touch via text to make me feel better. While he was there he got groomed and they did a great job on his paws which lots of groomers in the past have not done so well with. No complaints at all !!!and Duke loved it so much we practically had to DRAG him out of He literally whined and cried leaving. So The Groom Closet obviously did something right. If I could afford to take him daily this is the only place we would take our baby. I highly recommend this place & not sure how anyone else could have anything but a great experience there.
