The pet hospital doesn't take new patients on weekends. Don't bring your animals here. it's not of course an actual hospital. and the front desk person is rude. do not bring your pets here in an emergency. it's not what it appears to be. read more

Absolutely no sense of urgency or compassion. We brought our dog in after he was hit by a car, with both back legs clearly broken and in severe pain. Despite the emergency, we waited over an hour while healthy pets were seen in the room next to us. Our dog sat there suffering while the staff showed no urgency to help. We left heartbroken -- and will never return. read more

My kitten died because they refused to see it without a $300 deposit even though I have always paid my vet bill early

Today I was chewed out in front a very busy lobby for telling the vet she just missed my dogs serious ear infection. The vet refused to come talk to me at first, then when she did, told me that if I had thought my dog had an ear infection I should have let her know. I had to remind her that this was my third visit there in week. The first was due to his infection. Which was also on his mouth, but they never wrote down he had an ear infection. Since the clinic doesn't allow us to be there when our dogs are treated, they totally overlooked this. The second visit was for a teeth cleaning, that according the them, first required a complete look over due toy dogs age. They missed the ear infection again during this so called exam. Today was an emergency visit because my dogs ear was now raw and bleeding. I had been telling my wife, if it was serious the vet would have done something. But I should have trusted her, not the vet. They never looked at his ears, even though it was the primary reason for the first visit a week ago. This is definition negligence. I am not happy at all, and will diligently spread the word of the awful service my best friend got from these so called vets. read more

Can't say enough about how wonderful the Dr's and staff at Enid Pet Hospital are. Dr. Shimanek and Dr. Rutz brought my little dachshund back to health from a back injury that could have been so much more dire had she not gotten the care she had from them at the time. The hospital is so clean, bright and friendly. It's clear that their staff care about the patients and they were so nice to answer any question I had and even took a picture of my dog and text it to me because I missed her so much one day! The vets here are wonderfully thorough, caring and knowledgeable. The facility is always clean. The hubby claims to have had some questionable customer service by the front desk but I cannot confirm because I have always been treated well. I have called after hours on two occasions and received prompt call-backs by a real vet who was patient and caring. I use their boarding service also and I feel confident leaving my baby because every time we go in her tail is wagging (which says A LOT since she is a nervous Nelly). We've only been a customer once but I figured I'd write a review. Our dog had to see the vet on Saturday and Enid pet hospital was the only one that answered. We were seen promptly and the vet was very nice and friendly. The place seemed much larger than I expected. It was also very clean with several exam rooms. I wouldn't hesitate to go back if our local vet was unavailable. Apparently the boarding they offer is good as well. read more

The BEST vets in town! They are experienced, caring, and very competent. The facilities are clean and all of the staff are friendly . When we get new military personnel with pets in town, I always recommend EPH hands down. The front desk staff are always professional and I am sure that if there was a bad experience by the previous poster's husband, it probably was a misunderstanding. I have actually personally watched the gals at the front desk deal with some of the rudest and disrespectful customers and they always dealt with such a customer with professionalism and a smile. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Enid Pet Hospital. When we first got our new puppy we took him there to have him checked out. We recevied extremely professional service. Dr. Reid was extremely kind and knowledgeable. We decided to try out the on-base vet because of the convenient location, but due to their infrequent schedule we will be sticking with Enid Pet Hospital. Our puppy had an allergic reaction to a vaccination one evening and Dr. Reid took our call after hours and gave us instructions how to help our puppy. Then, the next morning he followed up to see how our puppy was doing. I am so grateful for the kindness we have been shown by Enid Pet Hospital. read more

EPH a compassionate, knowledgeable and professional clinic. They are always willing to help...whether it is faxing/emailing records (immediately), looking up immunizations, calling in prescriptions no matter where in the country I happen to be, or finding any possible way to get you in to see a vet at a moments' notice. They've been available to help every time I've called them (even on Christmas Day) and met me in the clinic to help my dog. The examining vet always follows up with a personal phone call to check on my dog's progress. read more

How would anyone possibly know how this pet hospital and boarding facility even works behind the doors when pet owners "aren't allowed" in the back to see! I took my dog there for the first time and the vet tech took us into an "exam" room -- only to then take the dog out the back door of the exam room to weigh her and do the exam + shots out of my purview. After 15 minutes of wondering where my dog was....I finally opened the door and started asking questions -- but it was STILL another 10 minutes before they brought my dog back. Very, very weird way to do vet care. The "exam" rooms are mostly used as owner waiting rooms and not much for vet exams and care at all. Even after the above bizarre experience, I decided to try out the boarding aspect of the clinic....waited 30 minutes AFTER checking in before they had anyone to even come out and get her to take her back to a kennel -- and then they wouldn't allow me back to see where they were taking her. As I was in a hurry, I couldn't spend time arguing with them and let my dog go into their care. I had second thoughts and should have listened to that inner voice....when I came to pick her up 3 days later it was another lengthy wait to pick her up and when I asked if I could just go back and get her with the tech, they said NO. No one is allowed in the boarding area without vet permission. My dog lost 5 pounds in 3 days -- and she didn't really have any excess weight to lose at all. Based on the food they gave back to me and how hungry she was when we got home, I have to wonder if they even fed her. If she wasn't eating, they certainly didn't bother to call me and let me know, either. I would not recommend this facility for vet care or boarding. read more

By far the best place to care for your pet. I know because I used to work here. They are the only veterinarians that I fully trust with my babies. They are very knowledgeable and up-to-date on any advanced techniques and care whether it's critical or routine. This place is very clean and they make sure pets get out of their kennel or run often and always keeps their kennels clean as well. I miss this place very much because I've moved to Edmond. I love this Pet Hospital. I needed our puppy seen on a Saturday and they were the only ones that would work him in. Dr. Armas is amazing with Shadow. I love that I can drop him off in the morning on my way to work and know he is fine until I get him. Very caring staff. Prices a little higher than other vets but well worth the service. read more

I am completely satisfied with Enid Pet Hospital. Staff and doctor were very attentive to me and my very distressed cat, Mango, who had an injury to its legs. The need occurred on a Saturday, which despite short weekend hours, they brought us in and treated and monitored Mango all day. I was able to pick her up at the end of the day. Amazing Experience. My dog was at another vet and began self mutilating. From the moment we walked in my dog was happy tails and excited. The front desk staff was not only friendly to me but to my dog. We didn't have a long wait time by any means. Dr. Rutz came in after examining my pup and just sat and talked with me about my concerns and answered my questions. She made it very casual and she showed her caring nature towards my dog. I will return. She even explained the purpose for things and the possible treatments for various things. They always talk about family doctors, well EPH and Dr. Rutz have become a family vet! read more

Had taken our precious girl to EPH for close to 11 years. They were her primary and only Vet the whole time. If we ever had anything that needed follow up the Vet always called us for a "well check ". Our girl wasn't feeling well and took her to doc. They ran blood work and couldn't diagnosis. She got worse, took her back 10 days later, again the usual lab work, but still no diagnosis. Took her to the other local Vet where they recommend the spelciaty hospital at OSU. Our girl could not be saved due to the lack of time that had passed from what was evident of first blood work ran on her that EPH missed. Dr. Sh***mic even admitted later this to my husband. The last 2x's we had her at EPH we never got a call back to check on our little dog. It seems like they were to busy and lost the quality of care they once had. Our girl stayed at OSU in ICU for 7 days after which she was too critical to sustain life. Dr. Sh***mic finally called us 19 days after our girl passed to ckeck on her; which was apx 3 weeks prior to her last visit at EPH, (total of apx 5 weeks after last time at EPH and time with OSU). If you ever need anything but routine care this is not the place for your pet family member. Total lack of fully educated and knowledgable staff. I feel this place deserves no stars. On December 30, 2015 I took my pug Ralphie to The Enid Pet Hospital, they would not let me go back into the room. I was just taking him in for a check up. But they said they needed to keep him over night. So I started home. An hour later they called saying he was having trouble breathing and put him down. He was perfectly fine before I took him here. Now I am without my child. Without the only one that cheered me up. I was debating taking him there, and now know I shouldn't have. Because that last thing I said to him was, I will see you later. And we will have fun okay? He wagged his tail and kissed me goodbye. Except that was the last time I would ever get to say goodbye. Now everything reminds me of him. And I always cry passing by this place knowing they took my baby boy from me. I have not been the same sense. And every night I think about him. I miss him more than ever. Knowing I will never get to see him ever again. Please don't take your animals here. I don't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else. The pain is comstant. And knowing they took him from me doesn't help. Just knowing that behind closed doors they murdered my baby. It makes me sick he died that way. And I will never go back. read more
