I didn't read any reviews before booking. I had emailed and called beforehand, and the customer service reps were responsive, knowledgeable, and accurate with their information. I asked about additional stops and learned that the driver makes a mandatory stop at The Academy Hotel--about 8 minutes--where you can use the restroom, stretch, grab a coffee, or just stay in the shuttle. My friend dropped me off at the Willamette Pl stop in Colorado Springs, which has a bus‑style waiting area. Yes, this might be an issue if you arrive in snow or rain! The staff member inside answered extra questions my friend had about their limited free parking. The van was clean and spacious. Other than some window noise, there was nothing that stood out. The other passengers (including children) were quiet the whole way to our destination. Overall, it was a great value. I can't even get a Lyft or Uber to the San Diego airport for what Groome charges. More importantly, the ride was safe. Our driver, Wade, transported us to the Denver airport earlier than expected, and I would definitely use this service again. read more

I was left at the airport for 2 hours and the drivers park directly in front of construction which force passengers to walk into oncoming traffic to load the van. I called and spoke with Jennifer in their customer service department and she was extremely rude. I was in the designated area to be picked up at the Denver airport and she argued that I was not. Extremely Disappointed with Groome Transportation - Will Not Use Again I've used Groome in the past and had positive experiences, but what happened today, June 25, at the Denver airport was unacceptable. Our checked luggage was lost, and unfortunately, it contained my 7-year-old granddaughter's booster seat. Because of this, the driver refused to let us board the shuttle. While I understand there are safety regulations, the issue wasn't the policy--it was how we were treated. The driver was completely disrespectful, raising his voice and quoting Colorado law in front of a full bus of passengers. He told me to go to Lost & Found to try to find an abandoned booster seat. We called Groome's customer service to explain the situation and request a refund for the $76 we paid. They flat-out refused--no flexibility, no compassion. We were left with no choice but to call a Lyft, which cost us $145 to get home. When we questioned why other companies like Landline don't enforce the same booster seat rule, the representative simply said, "They have different policies." But isn't this supposedly about state law? Because of the way we were treated and the complete lack of customer care, I will never use Groome again--and I will let others know about this treatment experience. I've been using Groom for two years and never had an issue until now. I helped my girlfriend set everything up because at the time I swore by Groom. Then three days ago they stranded my Girlfriend and her daughter in Denver. They had no issues transporting them to DIA for her flight, but refused to transport them home because of a law change. I understand the law had changed for booster seats and all that, but her and her daughter were transported to DIA with no issue. We had to spend $200 to get her home via Lyft. The shuttle driver that wouldn't let her or her daughter on said she would receive a refund. When my girlfriend called for the refund, the customer service representative told her no refunds and that they "didn't strand her there" in a very condescending tone. Our flight was delayed we called 4 plus hours in advance we were told that we could catch the 950 if anything happened then the next shuttle would accommodate. We waited explained to the driver were told we'd have to wait for the next shuttle in an hour. They let 3 people who were scheduled for the later shuttle on the 1050. The 1150 got here and we explained again. This was a new a driver who was not able to help all while the phone line was put on an auto hold upon ringing. We were told we would need to wait until 110 am to get a spot. Due to policy they are unable see unwilling to offer a refund or credit and they said there was no manager available when asked. All in all. I did what I could and was met with terrible customer service and a company who is either ill equipt or has inadequate employee availability or training and to think they ask if you want to tip the driver at checkout. read more

This is the worst company I have ever had dealings with. I booked a ride from the Denver airport to Colorado Springs many weeks in advance. When I arrived in Denver, I followed Groome's explicit email instructions be at island 5 outside of door 505 for pickup. Waiting in the cold after not sleeping for thirty hours on the way back from New Zealand, imagine my consternation when the Groome van did not stop to pick me up. The driver just shrugged his shoulders and kept on going. I immediately called Groome to ask what happened, and the lady I talked to said I should have been at the far north end of the island instead of where Groome had told me to be. I asked how I could have known that, and I was in disbelief when she said Groome was trying to get their technicians to change the email that gave incorrect instructions! She was totally unsympathetic about my situation and made it sound as if I somehow magically should have known where to be in spite of their instructions being wrong. In desperation I caught an Uber to Colorado Springs for $140. And Groome told me they will not even refund what I paid them to drive me. Booked this shuttle 3 days in advance before my departure from COS to DEN airport. Immediately received a confirmation email with instructions to be picked up at the park n ride. We took an Uber to the park n ride, arrived 15 mins early as instructed. Unfortunately, it was very rainy and cold that morning at 4 am and had to wait under a small canopy - was not prepared for the weather. We didn't have the luxury of waiting in a car until the shuttle arrived. However, the shuttle arrived on time and the gentleman helped us with our luggage. There was about 4 other people in the shuttle, plenty of room didn't feel cramped. It was bad weather that morning, a little touch and go with visibility. I had to change travel plans. Turns out that, even six weeks out, there is a no-refund policy. The policy doesn't appear during the reservation process, it's not listed on their manage reservation page, and it's not a subject listed at the top of their FAQ page. They'll happily give you a credit that can be used for a year. And most of those credits are never going to be used. If this was an honest business practice (rather than a way to pad their profits) the policy would be claearly displayed. Avoid or wait until the last minute to make a reservation. read more

I made reservations from Colorado Springs to Denver International Airport, two weeks in advance, for their 6:30am shuttle. The day before my trip, I received a voicemail stating that they didn't have a driver for the 6:30 shuttle and that I had been moved to the 5:30 shuttle and to call them if that was an issue. I also received an email with the same information. In accordance with their instructions, I arrived at the pickup point 10 minutes early, or 5:20am. They were easy to deal with and economically priced. I would like to see them post a full schedule and be clear regarding layover and changes in vans. I was dropped off at one location just prior to my destination and had to wait an hour for my next leg of my travel. When I booked it sounded like it was direct. The driver also told me about a new stop at a park and ride near my home but, I definitely don't think anyone would ever use it since it's sketchy and in a non lit gavel lot more than a mile away from any business. They say you can cancel your reservation if you do so by the night before, but they don't refund your ticket, even if you contact them weeks ahead of time. We called and spoke to a man,presumably the owner. He said they had no reservation for us and the last shuttle ran at 11:45, and said the driver would not have waited for us. BS. They just never showed. By the time we got a rental car and drove home, it was 3 AM in COS and we had been up since 4:00 AM BARCELONA TIME! On 10/10/2022, our Groome Shuttle broke down, and we had to call an uber to get to DIA. I paid for an Uber for 4 passengers (because I knew the entire shuttle needed transport). The driver told us to contact Groome about getting reimbursed for the Uber. The other passengers didn't have cash, but we didn't worry about it because we understood that Groome would re-inverse me. I sent an email with both the Groome and Uber receipts. I have had no response. when I called the office, the gal that answered the phone told me the company is not offering reimbursement for the last-minute transportation we had to secure ourselves when Groome left us all stranded. Groome made ZERO effort to ensure backup transport, never called us to follow up, and made no effort to refund the original expense of the shuttle until I called. I asked to speak to a manager, and I was told they were all out of the office for lunch and to call back "in a few hours." I left my number and asked for a callback.... Meanwhile, I personally cleaned up Groome's mess by getting four of their clients to DIA, and I am stuck with a large bill. Thankfully, Shirah, Allen, Andy, and I made our flights because Uber driver, Lee. The gal at Groome told me that if I wanted to get my Uber money back, I needed to take it up with Uber. What kind of "mental midget" came up with this response? Why would Uber refund me when they actually provided the service I paid for? A few of the riders were very young. One had language barriers, and one couldn't afford to get an Uber. The future of this review is now in Groome CO's boat.
